AAAHH THE NOSTALGY HIT SO HARD, I replayed it some times, and I really like the graphics, would be really good to have more choices but for the time it's 10/10 for a short story

This game is so good! I love it! I love the nostalgia! The link to the pop rock playlist that is just all my old favourite songs - aahah amazing! So cosy!

An interesting story concept that directly targets nostalgia - thankfully I am of that era so I love that you have MSN and PS1 intro in there XD. I wasn't able to get too attached to the characters and would have liked to have known more about them - but perhaps they are supposed to be open to interpretation?

This definitely gave me the cozies, specially the integration with the music and the cool PS1 logo! I could see it being more fleshed out with animations and stuff but I do think you did a really great job capturing this cozy vibe while telling a nice contained story, good job!

nice game. the graphics looks nice and you really hit the nostalgia vibes, I didn't even grew up in that era and I still felt nostalgic. although the gameplay itself is pretty basic. it's more like a visual novel with no choices. yeah your drawing does appear later on but it doesn't affect the game that much. but the painted visuals looks stunning and very pleasing to my eyes. I think you used up all of your time painting those for how good it looks. overall I had short but decent time, very good job

Thanks so much for your feedback! It's a short story, not much gameplay, but I hope the mood came through :)

Thanks a lot for playing!
About the topics: the "Butterfly Effect" theme is represented by the drawing that flies away and ends up inspiring someone to write a popular song years later, it's a small change resulting to a unpredictable consequence over a period of time, just like the definition shared on Discord.

And the "Spring" theme is the setting: it’s the first day of spring, the park, the birds... :)

Nice work! I had Dendy and then Sega and only played a 3D game on PS1 once, after some long time i got PC with Intel Pentium of some sort, that is how my console experience ended. My drawing looks like a forest with wide river and a house at my grannies, but still get the cozy feeling of going back, thanks.

Developer

Thanks, happy you picked up on the cozy feeling :)

I loved the game, its simple and you feel the cozy vibe in it !

I also liked the way you used the theme well done

And quick question are you French by any chance ? i say that because of the windows xp screens x)

I love the art style! Interesting presentation of the story, I like the little art piece thing. Quite a unique experience. Good job!

I loved this game. It was very cute and nailed the nostalgic vibes you were going for. Fit the cozy vibes perfectly with drawing. I just wish it was expanded further!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I wanted to do more too, but no time haha

Love that game so much 🌈✨💖

The Y2K vibe is great and it is such a cool way to implement the butterfly effect concept !

Great rock playlist + You added a Nana reference 🥰. How could it be better ?

Developer(+1)

Waw great drawing ! Thank you so much, I'm glad  you liked it, and yes, Nana 🥰 (we still need an ending!)

This game is so cute and unique, I love how you used the theme! Not sure what inspiration they took from my drawing though lol

Thank you so much! Haha yes, but it's a really cute cat tho! 🐱

It's truly unexpected that a casual doodle could become an inspiration for someone else. I really like the way you interpreted it.  MSN style chat window gave me a feeling of déjà vu. Cool game!

Got to the instagram scene and game stopped? Not sure if that was the ending.

You can click on the Instagram Messages (on the left), I should’ve made that clearer.

Yeah, didn't notice it. It just looked like the usual background with that watercolour effect. So I thought it ended. :( Probably would have been better if it had the same green (if I remember correctly) button, as in other scenes.

Developer

Yes, I totally agree with you, the gameplay shifts quite suddenly (from green buttons to clickable elements), and it can be a bit disorienting.
