I adore the art style of this game! I like the hand cursor too that’s cute hehe. The interactive items in the map scene are so cute! Adds a lot of personality to the game. The gameplay kinda reminds me of Kabuto Park, I really like the vibes. The stage scene was a bit confusing, I wasn’t sure what I did to win/ lose lol. I did enjoy finding new creatures, fun exploration mechanic. Overall a very pretty game. Great work!

Very cute and cool with the stats and all! I like others did not understand the battling, but still very cool!

Very cute! Like others, I struggled with the battle. I thought I was getting it but lost so definitely was off the mark but it seems like it would be fun to have a little “creature sequencer”.

The art was great and I love the hand being the pointer. Clicking on stuff was super satisfying. I think there needs to be a little more help with understanding the battles, but it was still fun!

Really liked the concept, and the visuals are so good! Being able to click on almost everything is a cool touch. I don't understand how the battles work, but still a great game!

Was a bit confused at first, but it clicked pretty quickly once i got going.
Lots of lovely little touches with some really really impressive artwork, Think you've all done a really good job, would like to see it expanded upon in the future.

Nice!

The mix of the art, sound design and UI are brilliant in this game. I was a bit confused about what to do at first - think I got there in the end and managed to form my band! Would have liked a little more guidance I think, otherwise the polish is very nice and I liked the little easter eggs when you click on things :)

I loved the artwork and audio but I really didn't understand what to do on the stage. Still, it felt nice collecting cuties!

I love the creature's artwork but the same time I do not know what should I do on the stage. I clicked random things and I won ???

Besides that, I love the hand cursor and how my mug fills with marshmallow.

Developer

The stage is probably the least developed/most confusing. I explained roughly how the stats work on the itch page, but from playtesting I would say the stage can/should just be skipped entirely…
Thank you for the kind words on the art!

Oh, I loved your use of the cursor, nicely done. The embedding of the UI to be elements around the central game map was also well done (and the little touches like the marshmallows in the coco and the power bar). I'm not sure I quite understood the game loop, and there might be a slight shader or asset loading hang right around the time you're selecting which spotlight to turn on (if it's a shader it might be fixed by pre-using it invisibly in the title screen) - or that could have just been a slow down in my browser.
Oh, the artwork was also really well done, very cozy.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I haven’t noticed the hang, but there is a shader with the spotlights so that is possible. I agree the game loop is not super strong. Fidget/clicking toys are probably the strongest based on feedback.

The artwork is absolutely incredible, and the level of interactability with the UI elements is really cool! The gameplay could have a little more depth to it though. Still a nice entry!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, and definitely agree on the game loop.

Clicking on things were really fun, really solid UI :D I enjoyed collected the musical pokemons critters. Just kept collecting until I realized the rarer fish wasn't in the band lineup because it was full lol

Developer(+1)

Glad you had fun! We were torn on how to accommodate things. You can release from the band screen, but it is unclear that you will get to see the others if you release the older ones. I probably should have just done a scroll bar.

I enjoyed this due to all the fun artwork and things I could click on.

I wasn't sure how anything worked though, could have used more help / tutorials. Or maybe I missed them.

Developer

Appreciate the comments. Things are explained more on the itch page description, but I agree things aren’t as clear in game. And honestly, I agree clicking on things was the highlight. Makes me want to make everything interactible in future games,

The artstyle and gamefeel are pretty good, whish there was a little more gameplay. Great job on the entry!

Developer(+1)

Appreciate the kind words. Our original idea had the battle system, but after implementing I think it's one of the weaker parts. I agree there needed to be more choice. We mainly made a digital fidget table.

The art style and the ui were PERFECT! you really did great!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! Perfect is high praise :)

Beautiful artwork on this one. Love the tiny details (sunscreen-customizable custom cursor), overall I feel it really delivers a cute atmosphere, but not the biggest fan of the critter mechanic.

Developer

Thank you for the comments. Would you mind elaborating on which part of the critter mechanic you didn’t care for? Was it catching? Or using them in battle?

Submitted

I meant the catching with the timing circles. The battle was over in a second, and I won - so can't elaborate on that.

Developer(+1)

Totally fair. Thank you for your feedback

Very cool game, I gotta say I really love the art for this one and the cool little trinkets on the map were a nice fun touch. I got kinda confused at the gameplay and like what the actual end goal of the game was. Also not really sure what the stats meant but maybe I'm just going crazy and missed where it was but overall cute game with some cute creatures

Developer (1 edit)

Appreciate the feedback! I agree on the confusing gameplay. I’ll try to update the Itch page to explain things more for future players.
The goal of the game was to collect all of the badges on the map screen. They light up every time you catch a new one. The band camp was more a way to listen to music and play with your critters, but I think it was more complicated than it needed to be.

I also just updated the Itch page to explain things hopefully if you feel curious.

Super nice game! I really liked the theme and the little details in the UI, great work!

Loved collecting those little guys. Satisfying to discover something more rare. Might steal that aspect for future games of my own!

I loved spam clicking things, it reminded me of those tiktoks where they have the little plastic hand on the end of an extendable stick.  Really cool and ambitious idea!  I did lose my way at the actual music part, maybe some bits got cut for time.  Sometimes it told me I won before anything had really happened, and I expected them to combine into different songs but couldnt really make anything out.  Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words. Very much agree that the battle section wasn’t as robust. The fidget clickables were definitely a favorite.
