Pigeon mafia!!! Really cute idea. I had the spinning bug too, but it was fun nonetheless.
I'm really glad you still managed to find it fun despite the spinning bug! Hopefully that's something I can avoid having happen again in future game jams :) Thanks for letting me know about it!!
Funny game! I unfortunately had some issues with the web version and my camera kept drifting off to the side. I checked to see if my gamepad was plugged in if there was controller support but it wasn't that. Other than that I had a lot of fun. The birds gave me a good laugh!
Thank you for giving it a try! I think there was a lot of issues with exporting it to web since it was my first time doing so and didn't have enough time to test it sadly but I'm glad you had fun playing it regardless :) I appreciate the feedback!!
super fun concept. I got nervous and left early :D
Really glad you enjoyed it! Nothing wrong with leaving a bit early, surely the pigeon mafia won't be too mad about it!
I liked this idea a lot, wasn't able to clean it all up in time, but had a good time doing it!
Thank you!! I appreciate it a lot :)
Great game! Very funny concept!
I don’t usually play 3d games so it was harder for me to move around a grab stuff quickly, but I still had fun trying to :)
Thank you! I appreciate you giving the game a try, even if it's not your usual style of game! (Btw I love your profile picture)
Having it based around pigeons was daft in the best way haha. It took me a while to understand what I needed to do and understand what was happening when the pigeons behind the window were telling me off (which was funny).
But once I got it I became a well oiled machine of exploding the evidence though I still managed to miss like 5 things so maybe I'm not cut out for this life. I feel your pain with exporting to web there are no end to the surprises of things that randomly break but it gets easier. Nice one.
Oh and the name of the game is great!
Originally I was going to make a game where you had to stop messenger pigeons sending your drunk letters to people but ended up going for a murder scene clean up and thought why not make it pigeons instead and I honestly love that I kept that idea ahah.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it though! I'm going to be completely transparent, there's a very good chance that I messed something up which makes the end screen not be completely accurate all the time (gotta blame last second implementation for that one!). This was my first project I've completed fully in Godot so I'm honestly really glad it even came out playable at all so I appreciate the kind words!
Great job on the first completed project in that case. That first idea sounds funny as well, I hope a future theme gives you excuse to make it!
I've decided that every game jam I do, I'm going to try and sneak a pigeon in there some way or another to pay respect to this jam ahahah, gonna have people looking out for a pigeon from now on! I'm loving Godot though, switching from Urneal was the right choice and I can't wait to join future game jams!
I really liked this Pidgeon theming you had going here. It turned your game from just another crime scene cleaning game to something a lot more quirky. Nice voice acting as well. I had some issues with the game screen being too large. A smaller screen with an option to go full screen would have been how i'd of gone about it. Congrats on finishing your first solo game jam.
Thank you!
Exporting to web was a completely new thing for me and I ended up only getting it exported with very little time so sadly didn't get to test everything as much as I'd like to so I missed a few things, I'll take your feedback and learn from it for next jam/project. Thank you again!
I don't think i've ever been told off by a pigeon before.
Cool concept, reminded me of something like viscera cleanup detail.
Loved how ( in the nicest way possible ) weird it was. The idea of just piles of guns, drugs and pigeons lying around in an alley? Funny stuff.
Fun game for a first time. The mouse being captured to the playable space would have been nice, i kept losing focus on the screen but otherwise i thought it was a fun idea.
The mouse thing is something I noticed when I uploaded it as a web game but sadly didn't have enough time to fix it, it's something I'll definitely keep an eye out for in future game jams so thanks for pointing it out!
I'm really glad the weirdest came across in the way I wanted it to, I wanted it to be as absurd as possible when making it to add some flair to it so I'm glad to hear it worked out :)
Thank you for giving it a try <3
Cool game, it was a little hard for me to control though, but I like the concept!
thank you! If possible can you let me know what parts were hard to control? I’d love to be able to improve on it in future projects or this one when I continue working on it :) any feedback is welcomed!
Yah I think it was just too sensitive and choppy, I'm not sure, maybe it was my computer performance, but it felt hard to move around where I wanted to.
That makes sense then yeah, I never exported a game for it to be played in the browser so there's a lot I need to learn going forward so this helps direct me a lot, thank you!
Nice take on the genre, loved the idea of a pigeon mafia. Good jobs the with models and the layout.
I was a little confused about "being seen by the neighbors". I saw the red lights turn on, and often they turned on right when I was in their area, but I saw no effect of them (as I quickly ran out of the red area). If they were a two phase event (eg; you get caught if you remain in the area past X seconds) I would have liked it if the danger area had a ramping up effect to help telegraph the effect.
Thank you for giving it a try :) the way the getting caught by neighbours is meant to work is if you’re within the cone of vision for 2.5 seconds, you’d have time deducted but you’re completely right about this being something that should’ve had more visual indication :) It was intended at first but I implemented it pretty late and sadly didn’t get around to it in the end but I plan on working on this project again sometime and will definitely have a better visual indication :)
That's the pain of game jams, there is never enough time. :)
Couldn't be any more right hahaha, I would have had enough time but I had like 3 game breaking bugs in the last 3 hours of the game jam and had to squash those instead
That was a cool game, I'm a fan of the concept :D Had to turn the sensitivity wayy down because I get motion sick easily in games, had fun nevertheless
Great job!
Thank you! Yeah the default sensitivity was a little high 😅 that’s down to me naturally playing in ridiculous speeds 💀glad you enjoyed!!
very creative and cool concept! love the gameplay! i would 100% play a longer full release of this game!
Thank you so much! I am absolutely planning on making this in the future, just going to keep refining my skills first :) I appreciate you trying it out!
Pigeon mafia is a creative idea, this was fun and I think the timer limit adds a lot to make it feel urgent. Congrats on your first solo jam!
Thank you!! I’m hoping to try and do more jams in the future, I just recently switched to Godot from unreal and it’s been so fun working in Godot so hopefully I can make more games like this one :) thank you for trying my silly little game!
