I think the theme interpretation is really good and the gameplay, while punishing, is simple and easy to understand. The music was pretty good but I am not a fan of the AI generated art. I understand that it was mostly tweaked in photoshop but it doesn't feel different enough.  I'm more on the side of learning to do art (even if badly) than to use an AI to make it for me. To each their own I guess. Other than that it's a really nice game!

Developer

Thanks again for your understanding! Just to clarify — I always prioritize and adapt to the rules of the jam, and I make sure to strictly follow the official guidelines of the event.

I like the mechanic with the "time zones". Gives a good skillcheck for speedrunners. Good work!

Developer

Yeah, thanks! I thought it would be interesting to experiment with that. The game lasts exactly 2 minutes, matching the length of the background music — but because of the time acceleration mechanic, players can actually finish it faster or slower, depending on how they move.

I was curious to see if speedrunners would enjoy that kind of idea — where movement directly affects how time flows. :)

Nice game, but it was really hard for me. Was not able to get to the end! :D

Thank you

solid game, great art, I just feel like some platforms were ambiguous, whether I should jump on them or not

Developer

Small note about the mechanic:
There’s a moving platform on the right, and during the first loop, it’s actually quite hard to reach it with a perfect jump.
So I added the spike path on the left as an intentional alternative:
You can take the risk and try for the moving platform, or go through the spikes — take some screen cracks, but progress more safely.

Unfortunately, when I gave the game to a female friend to test, she thought the spikes had to be avoided at all costs — so I guess that’s my fault as a game designer 😅
Next time I’ll try to communicate that choice more clearly!

Submitted

Oh, so you can reach that platform! I didn’t even try to go for it, I took the mines every time because the other path seemed like an impossible jump.

Also, I felt like some of the platform art looks like it’s part of the background rather than an actual path you can take. The mine area felt like that too, when I first tried to go that way, I fell, so I got confused about whether it was a real path or not

This is really fun!

Simple but addictive gameplay! Music was great too.

Not a bad entry, I know using gen AI is part of the jam, but this entry does feel.. A little heavy on the AI.

Music is good, but the art.. I'm not a massive fan of. I just tend to find AI generated art tends to feel a lot more soulless, and I'd often prefer to see bad human made art than decent AI generated art.

The gameplay is also a little lacking in my opinion, it feels like a little more time spent honing in on the player movement would have been a good idea, since it's the heart of the game, and making it feel good is really important.

Overall, solid entry! Nice work, your team did well! ^^

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed the game overall!

I’m not really a fan of using AI extensively either, but getting an artist on board isn’t always easy — and I couldn’t find one before the jam started.
Hopefully I’ll have better luck bringing someone in for the next one. Let’s see how it goes!

i liked working on this game! hope it was as fun to play as it was to build!

Apart from the clear AI generated assets this game has potential. I would love to see more of your own original work even if its super bad, we all started there at one point so no hate if you did!

Developer

It's a pity that you didn't enjoy the game much and rated it rather low.
We actually have a small team with artists, a sound designer, and me as the programmer — but for this jam, I could only bring the sound designer on board.
Personally, I'm more of a technical person and I honestly don't see much difference between AI-generated and hand-made art, especially when it comes to game jams.

Since this jam was sponsored by Bizy, I assumed that using AI tools was allowed and even encouraged, unless stated otherwise.

Still, I appreciate the feedback — thanks for playing!

Ah that makes sense if Bezi is used for all that. I hate using assets or AI stuff because you dont learn.
In saying that I know now that this was mainly focused around AI generated assets so I shouldnt be so harsh on it, apologies!
I will update my rating, but as an artist myself please please please use artists work and dont trade us off for AI!

I have updated my rating to reflect the Bezi partnership

All 4/5 stars

Gameplay and audio is really addictive, but everything feels like its done with gen ai and that breaks it for me, a great game idea but lacks that individualism from game jams art style as a whole.

Developer (1 edit)

Just to clarify — the music was actually made by a sound designer from my team.

It’s fully original work, not AI-generated :)
I probably should’ve mentioned that more clearly in the game description or a content note… I’ll make sure to highlight it better next time 😅

Thank you! I really appreciate that you gave it a try!
Fun fact — in the final version, I literally had to bribe a friend with $1 to reach the ending 😅
He managed to beat it in 25 minutes and record the full gameplay for me.
Then he actually liked it and ended up beating it two more times — so in the leaderboard, there are 3 clears from him, 1 from me, and 1 from another friend :)

Really nice game! I especially like the visuals . I wish it has more forgiving inputs :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I'm really glad you liked the visuals 😊
I actually spent a lot of time thinking about how to simplify the gameplay — but in some earlier versions it felt too easy.
The problem is… during development I got so used to the platforming that it started feeling simple to me — and I probably overdid the difficulty in the final version 😅
Might adjust it a bit if I keep working on the game!

Submitted

You should obviously keep working on the game! It has great potential for a full release, and I’m sure and hope you’ll rank well in this game jam.

Developer(+1)

Not sure about getting a high placement — there are some entries with more interesting mechanics and gameplay.
But we’ll see, maybe something will come out of it :)
Thanks for the support!

This requires too many precise inputs in a row for me to play it, but I can report the game (especially the dying mechanic) does work. Maybe if it was a bit more forgiving I'd be able to finish it. I like the music and visuals though!

Developer

Yeah, I made my previous games relatively simple, so this time I decided to go for something more challenging — just for variety!
And it actually fits the theme really well too 😄

Love the art style and music

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! That really means a lot 💛

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Wow that was really cool, did you make all the art yourself?

Developer

No, I haven't finished the page yet, references and modeled in Leonid AI, but nothing good came out of it, so I had to switch to gpt, and then correct it in Photoshop

Amazing visuals, amazing game. It does captivate you and pulls you in with the aesthetics. Great work.

Developer

Thank you !

the game is very minimalistic, with a beautiful visual, a kitty steal my heart!;) It really reminded me my school days, when we all played at break on the one phone and chasing high scores (doodle jump, geometry dash, subway surfers)

For a game jam, it match the theme perfectly

My current score is 33% :,) lol

Nice game bro, I like the visuals, may be coyote time will be perfect, could you try my game??

Developer(+1)

I actually tested most of the games yesterday — including yours!
I played it all the way through, great job 😄

Nice game, cute graphics! :)
