End life plan
I will leave it up for anyone to play whenever. I may return to it as my skill improves to do some polishing but overall this will stand as a benchmark of where i started.
Transparency note
I still don't really know how to code all that much and instead of scouring the internet piecing together fragments of code found in tutorials and forums, I used ChatGPT to do all of the digging for me. Told it what I wanted and asked for all of my options. I would piece things together from there to fit exactly what I needed for my game. I didn't rely on it to code my game for me, just present me with all of the info I needed to build it quickly myself. I did use 1 AI generated image in my game. The background for the menus. That was the only image in which trying to create it kicked off an anxiety attack, so I bailed on it and cheated. That is the full use of AI in my project. Everything else was either made by me or downloaded for free after I attempted it myself first. Exactly what came from where is listed in the Credits of my game, found through the options menu.
The only thing I used that was made before the jam was my plug and play menus. They're very bare bones and easily dropped into most projects. I used it because i joined 2 or 3 days late and the extension hadn't been announced yet.
I have made what my overall skill level will allow. Learned quite a bit from my first jam. thank you.

my highscore is 526! good job making the game! :D
An interesting idea and a well-implemented increasing difficulty level that kept me engaged. Very cool entry!
Nice one!
The controls felt a little awkward; having to hold enter with the same hand as the Enter Key, but the game felt really artistic!
I had it set up siphon with enter or mouse so the player could choose to use the Arrows or WASD keys and not have to use the same hand for both. I suppose I wasn't clear enough in that regard.
Cool concept, would be interesting to see it fleshed out with other types of objects to diversify the gameplay, but I understand time constraints not allowing that.
I really like the worldbuilding in this game! Gray man sucking colors and time off the crystals for his personal goal of pushing forward. Wait are we a bad guy xd? On the other hand I wish the game was a little harder. Overall a solid project! Keep up the good work :D.
Really nice concept. Jumping goes nicely in to the rhythm of the music at one point.
I also went for the "delaying the inevitable" side of the theme which I haven't seen used by many people here . Over all nice game.
Thanks for taking the time to play it. I appreciate it.
simple but very good
Great game! I had a lot of fun playing it! It's simple but gets the concept along very nicely! Way to go!
The idea is great considering the jam's theme. As someone wrote earlier, it can feel a bit repetetive after a while, but overall good job!
very cool , congrats!! yes sure it is basic, but it could be the start of something you can expand on!!
Pretty cool game, only a bit repetitive after a some time, but the basic idea is great, I think you can easily expand on it!
The footstep sound when walking/landing on the crystals is very satisfying
This looked and felt really nice, love all the colors, kind of addictive and chill as well although simple
Thank you for taking the time to play it. I appreciate it, thank you. I wanted to keep it simple but solid. I think i did alright lol.
I love this! It's nice and creative and gets quite hard to the end. I'll definitely come back to this one. I only got to 501 ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the feedback and your time. I appreciate it. The highest score i was able to get when testing was 673 but i miss timed a jump so i know it can go farther lol.
Good basic concept could maybe use some more variety in gameplay and challenge
Loved the game! I played it before voting and its fun! So much that I came back to play again :D
Nice entry! It was pretty straightforward to play and I liked how the background had a nice depth to it.
I tried to keep it as simple as I could. I tend to fall victim to feature creep and ruin my own projects. It was a goal to not stuff more than I really had to into it lol. It was my first time doing a parallax background also, they can be a bit trickier than I thought they were going to be. I appreciate the feedback and the time spent playing. Thank you.
Feature creep is quite hard to resist, especially in a game jam.
You're welcome!
I scored 514 points! I didn’t know the crystals disappeared over time, so I was playing calmly until I saw them vanish.
I loved the sound effects and the game’s art, and the mechanic is really interesting and unique.
Yea, that's my bad. In hindsight, I realize I never once mentioned the crystal vanishing. After the jam, I plan to add a line about it. I'm happy that you liked the art and sound. It was my first time "scoring" a game from scratch, and I was worried the colors would make it look childish. I did the best I could, and the feedback really helps boost my confidence a lot. I appreciate that. Thank you.
I got 522, liked de graphics and the simple concept. Liked the fact that the game is becoming harder after some time. Great game !!
I got a score of 452!
Very neat concept, would be very interesting to see it explored more!
Regarding your end-of-life plan - it would've been a lot better to have a downloadable binary, so that any one of your players could easily have a local copy. The prospect of keeping the game only on developer's hard drive is a bit short-sighted.
Still, I believe this was a good effort, keep making more games!
I did originally build it as a windows build and converted to webGL right before i submitted. I probably will make it downloadable but i honestly didnt think anyone would want to download it. Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it.
