Unbelievably polished, super clean execution. Don't really know if there's anything I can add that hasn't been said. Congrats on the submission!

Absolutely in love with the art style and music choice, this makes this simple idle game 100% more enjoyable! I think it would be great if you made the “feed” options scalable with the population, or just remove the feeding cooldown completely. Right now, the end stage is just waiting for the option to become available.

The polish on this was insanely good, the vibes were amazing, the audio was stunning, the art was beautiful and the gameplay was really fun, I wish there was a little bit more in the end game but other than that it's really good

Very nice build game.

All is very polished and the mood is excellent.

The only trouble I've got is about selecting a building to build and can't unselect it, need to click on the top left candle to free selection.

super cool and very well polished, hope to see more progress on this in the future!

Very nice polish, great sound effects and music. I bought all the upgrades pretty quickly. It was fun to optimize what buildings I wanted in the end, but would have been nice to see an end in sight. Overall great job!

Fun but a bit hard to understand what's the end of it.

I played for so long... Absolutely phenomenal game. This deserves the win in my opinion :)

Very polished game but wish it had an objective.  Was fun trying to figure out how to optimize the village

Insanely polished game, I do agree that it definitely needed an ending. Great job on the submission!

Great jam game.

Music, design, SFXs are great.

UI is mostly great, aside from building description covering leftmost building slot.

Gameplay is nice at start, but gets very limited by cooldown of sacrificing. Works fine for jam.

Objective part is over, rest is subjective:

Upgrade system can use some work. Upgraded level should always give more stats, than previous one. If it doesnt - combine cost with next one ’till it does and call it one level.

Faith, research and food should scale with amount of people. Seems wrong that vilage have no followers, but faith increases at rapid speed. Same for food supply increasing without any people to collect it. Same for research.

But, it’s all small-ish details. Great job.

While this isn't usually my favorite genre, the amount of polish you put in to this entry is truly impressive. I'm amazed how well you brought it all together. Fantastic work.

Honestly hard for me to believe this game was made for a jam with the sheer level of polish in it. Just feels very professional. The general creepy vibe around the cult and the consuming mother is very well executed in the art style and sound design. Only problem i have with it is the gameplay can get a bit stale. Other then that its an unbelievablypolished game. Fantastic Job!

The game feels really polished. And is very addictive. Sadly I think the buildings can't level endlessly after my altar had a bonus of 37 I was able to spend more on upgrades but the bonus didn't go up :(

Developer

Hi Borsche, thanks for testing. A single upgrade doesn't always increase a building's production.

This happens because production is a int number, and sometimes the improvement resulting from an upgrade is only a fraction, meaning it takes 2-3, maybe even 5 levels for production to increase by 1.

Unfortunately, I didn't find a better way to communicate this to the player in time, but it's something I want to improve in the future!

Outstanding levels of polish and work, absolutely incredible job. My only (and very very very ''cherrypicking'') complaint is the fact that the game becomes very repetitive in a short period of time, but that's all the criticism I have, the rest of the game is brilliant!

A really high quality entry with an astounding amount of polish.

I really liked all the tooltips and hints. Pointing the player in the right direction or giving warnings about potential issues is an incredibly important and more often than not overlooked aspect in a game jam.

Nice work, looks fantastic and i loved the vibe of it all. Definitely not a cult.

I'm glad the tooltips helped; it's usually something that goes unnoticed. Thank you so much for the review! ☺️
