The font is pretty small. I had to zoom to 200% to comfortably read it. Mentioning that an NPC can be hired as a porter feels very old school. The salt and slugs feel very fun.
The font is a tad small for my eyes, but man, this is an excellent dungeon. Everything is the perfect level of detail, and the emergent gameplay drips from the pages (slugs and salt!).. Will try to find an empty hex to plug this one into.
I commend the cross-hatched cartography and creatures. Bravo on the briny bestiary. Cool dungeon to play Mazes & Mollusks. A pleasure to check out.
this is absolutely cracking. I love the art (best I've seen in the jam so far) and the two floor dungeon, with the party able to accidentally release the slugpocalypse into the world. The salt temple is so good and different, love it!
You had me at “sluggoth”. Fun vibes, interesting things to do, foul beasts to slay — what more can you ask for?
Very cool, well-themed dungeon. Why would someone need a salt seal? Alien slug monsters of course! The encounters all seem really great. Yes, you can pet the cat! There's also some real horror that could be leaned into here, particularly in the depths.
I might give PCs a hook that encourages them to use the seal with a misled understanding of what it does. There are some really interesting implications in the potential outcomes of this one.
I love the art. The seer illustration is my favorite. All the creatures have a weird vibe that is 100% Appendix N.
I will be running this for sure in Shadowdark!
Really cool old school adventure! Love the descent into weirder stuff. The art and maps are great. I really like the doomsday-keeper job of having to constantly reset the timer, if having used the stone in area 2.3. Great way of retiring a character into a job of importance.
This is pure old school and I'm here for it. Great cover and maps, very approachable layout and cool creatures. So much jammed into three pages. Very nice.
I love the old school fantasy vibe coming from the pages of this adventure!
Art really evokes the atmosphere of the dungeon. the maps are great, I love all the loops!
Love the variation on elemental antagonism, instead of fire and water, its salt and slime!
To begin with, I can already say that I loved the art. The drug and limited senses gave me an Appendix N feeling, not to mention the buried temple and all the strange things going on. Oh, and I confess that it took me a while to figure out where 1.7 was, as the arrow next to it on the map confused me a bit, as did 2.4. But despite that, I really enjoyed the adventure and will definitely give it a try.
yeah, now that you made me notice I could have placed the numbers inside the rooms and made it clearer (i think arrows would have caused additional clutter).
What do you mean with the limited senses? The sluggoth not being able to see?
Thanks for the review by the way and be sure to tell me how it plays out if you do try it :)
This is so cool, and I absolutely love the art! You fit so much into it as well, such a fantastic job. I look forward to seeing more!
Beautifully done. A real labour of love, fantastic artwork. Sticks to the title. Looks eminently playable too. Frankly, I'm jealous!
There is so much I could say! This has stunning artwork and a great design. The hallucinations are a great touch too. It really captures the old-school aesthetic.
Some things I have learned from reading your module-
Your art is fantastic, I would have scored it with a 6 if I could.
Don’t fall over in the slippery tunnel, you could end up in a slime pool.
Don’t stick amulets into holes that are perfectly made for them- that way lies disaster!
Excellent, it all works really well together- good job
Oh, my--the art is truly gorgeous! Especially the cover. Even better, the dungeon itself is packed with great encounters. Frightening monsters, too. Lots of slime and mucus in this one!
