Nice job! I think the balancing is a little off, starting quite slow, and then very suddenly I had one attempt make it halfway through his healthbar but very slowly, so I died and got a so any skill points that next round took me 30 seconds or so lol. Good loop idea though! The end said I died 186 times but I'm pretty sure I only died like between 5 and 8 times lol

As other said, I found the start a bit slow and the walk to the boss at the start of every loop a bit tedious. At the very beginning of the game I was lost too on what to do and didn't know that I needed to go to the other side of the map to truly start playing.
But the gameplay loop stays fun, as it's always fun to become stronger and stronger. Well done!
Starts a bit slow. But once you got some speed and damage and the ranged weapon the fight became pretty fun. It felt good whacking all the minions with the hammer. Well done!
Super fun! Though the devil tried to gaslight me about my number of deaths :)
Great idea and super neato 1-bit artstyle
It was fun becoming more and more powerful as you die more. Makes the game easier and easier over time. Camera shake makes it look well-polished. I pretty much mostly used the hammer to defeat the demon, so I feel there isn't much use for the other weapons.
For cool idea to use death as a loop mechanic! I enjoying it a lot while playing.
This was a really unique take on the theme and I loved that first rewind going back exactly where I walked, everything felt great and like the feeling this game gives you of constant progression! Only thing that was a lil tedious was walking back to the demon every time when you had low speed but the art and sound effects defo made up for it!
Seriously great entry well done!
Yo top 100 for sure right?? Love the idea and I'm super jealous of the art! If I HAD to make a suggestion I'd say maybe find away to make it less repetitive/slow (?) Great Job for sure!
This is a fully fleshed-out final bossfight! the roguelite mechanics are also pretty polished and enjoyable, and despite the challenge the demon lord is perfectly balanced and doesn't take too long to beat. Probably one of the better games I found in the jam so far!
I killed the demon king! but I did not die 81 times... I love the narrative, art and concept!! Good job you all. It's so much fun - weapons and narrative are the best part.
This game was really really fun I enjoyed it a lot, the narrative of the loop being a pert of the story and interaction with the boss made for a fun experience. Really liked the touch of the game rewinding once you die, it was an idea we wanted to incorporate in our game but where too strapped for time. Ran into a bit of a bug right at the end though, once I killed the demon king, I was killed by skeletons. Then the game reset and I couldn't do any damage to him :/. Still really fun game and great entry. Would love for you to play ours and let us know what you think :)
Great game! Took me a while to find the boss the first time, haha. But after that, smooth sailing! The weapons each felt like they served their own role to counter the boss, which was nice. The sprites were fantastic, and I really like the palette you went with. If you're going to keep developing the game - maybe let the player test their weapon when they're just walking around? Or maybe it was to prevent the player from 'cheesing' the fight by firing the bow from a distance before the fight? Either way, great job!
What a blast! Our team brainstormed a similar concept in our early meeting, glad someone went with the idea. My only wish was a little bit more variety in how to approach the boss and restart the loop. Otherwise I really liked the progression and the challenge scaling.
Nice game and cool art! My only complain is that the walk up to the boss (even with the skip) was a bit tedious hah
Congrats on finishing the jam!
Great game! Loved the concept and the looping level ups, as well as the aesthetic. Took me a little bit of time to figure out I had to be in combat to use the weapons, was a little confused when nothing was shooting from the get go, but that's the gamer in me who wants to shoot the boss from across the map! -- Chris
