How does your game fit the theme?
The two little creatures find themselves in an infinite loop, and thus must {BREAK;} out of the loop through the logical means of making an infinity symbol with their tails!

I LOVE the rainworld aesthetic, and just the whole vibe in general :3

there is this bug where if one furloop is standing on another onna slope, the one at the botton glitches through the floor and into the void, and doesnt come back

but apart from that i really liked it :D and yeah godot's compatibility issues with glow is super annoying

Developer(+1)

Yeah i only just discovered that glitch through floor bug lol, anyways glad that you loved the vibes!

it's looks like rain world, i got confused for a second and the going up the wire and standing up also like rain world wow and the 2 interactive players are very interesting, great game

Developer

Seems like you like rainworld :D

Couldn't find all the breakpoints, got lost in the dark! But had a blast, thanks for sharing on stream!

Developer

Glad it was at least fun for a bit!

The atmosphere and art looks pretty good! I will admit that the music got repetitive a little too quickly though and my brain wasn't a fan of controlling both characters at the same time. I do find it funny how you went with the "fixing for loops" idea because my team thought of that concept during the dev process when we were dealing with off by one errors. XD

Developer

Happy that you liked the atmosphere!

I liked it.. The art and music was pretty. The sound effect of the creatures yelling was really annoying. And the exposition dumps were really long and annoying to sit through. Also the text was unreadable because of the pixel filter on it.

Developer (1 edit)

sounds like you didnt like it :P jkjk but overall yeah i agree with the issues,it all just came down to overscoping honestly since its my time gmtk jamming, anyways glad you liked the art at least!

Really cool. Love how they make a loop with their tales lol. The platforming is great, it really did feel like rainworld haha. And finding eachother is fun. Id like to see a bit more puzzle elements, but really good.

Developer

Glad you liked the concepts! Gameplay definitely lacked more variety due to time crunch :<

Submitted(+1)

I love the atmosphere and the meta for loop narrative! Lots of cool gameplay ideas, and the rainworld references are awesome!!

Developer

Im glad you liked the feel of the environment!

very neat world that you created movement feels good, i like the use of art and light, took me a while to figure out how to spawn the second character. got stuck on the first puzzle

Developer

Glad you liked the movement! Anyways for that part youve gotta hold down F and H and that will make a sort of loop, then in the future you do that same action at some special places to continue the game :P

the little cats remind me of rainworld ^-^. i found it impressive how big the level was but the controls felt a little slippery for me with seemingly no coyote time. it was frustrating to fall long distances and have seemingly only 1 good path back to where i was. meeting up & holding hands to capture an objective is a  neat idea, though i got tripped up that it only triggers the [break;] when i let go. and usually it was too much for my brain to control both slugs at once so usually i'd be getting one there, and pinging it over and over attempting to make the path a second time with the other one and it got a little tedious

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked the little creatures :D actually there was coyote time but i guess it couldve been a bit too short since i didnt have any playtesting, since most people have different opinions on the right coyote time, and yeah having to let go to break was also something i didnt wanna do but there was an issue with the players inputs causing game to break lmao so had to force player to stop inputting to loop it. Anyways hope you at least enjoyed the art and stuff!

I love the feel of this game, the art and sound really pull it all together! Reminds me of Rainworld.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the style of the game!

This world could use some rain

Anyways very cool simple platforming, the character controller could use some touch ups, does feel quite similar to rain world yes.

Love the way the game looks, specifically the characters the rest of the map is just plain colors,

Gameplay isnt that crazy and i dont have a 2nd person to play with me so that was something but otherwise really solid entry great job! I can tell the map took a lot of effort

Developer

Could use some rain... anyways the game is meant for only one player anyway, cmon nowww we all know game developers dont have friends, why would i make a co-op

Played it with my brother and had a fun time! very beautiful artwork

Developer

Hope you two had a great time!

Nice atmosphere and visuals. Movement felt pretty nice, though I'd say climbing up could be a little faster since some climbs are quite long which gets slightly boring just holding down a key and waiting. Narrative wise, it's definitely quite good. Good job on that. As for the audio, the music really added to the feels, but I feel like the sfx was slightly lacking. Like some actions could've felt more impactful if there was sfx to sell the effect. Also, I actually didn't notice the death timer on my play, so I was quite surprised that it suddenly game overed. Some sort of indication of there being a timer would've been much appreciated in the narrative, and some effects when the timer is almost running out would be great. Overall quite a nice game for 4 days!

ok.

Good work! I really enjoyed the game, I didn't get to complete it - but found it very soothing and comfortable to play. the art style is adorable.

Developer(+1)

Glad it was smoothing for you! Hope the lil furLoops were cute enough :3

Reminded me of Rain World a lot, cute characters and the underground setting? Great music.

Developer(+1)

Hehe yeah rainworld was a base idea reference at the start of the jam! glad you liked the little critters

W game, controlling two players is amazing and the art is fire

Developer

W comment! Glad you liked the concept and artstyle!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool controller! I didn't go through all of it, but I loved the split screen gameplay and the mood of the game.

Congrats! 💖

Developer

Glad you liked it! was worried the controls would kinda be off-putting to most

"Mom can we get Rainworld"
"We got Rainworld at home"
The Rainworld At Home:

Memes aside, i really liked how you emulated the Rainworld aesthetic, and the controls feel pretty tight, sadly i currently don't have enough time to get to the second player and experience the full game, but i will definitely revisit this when i have more time to fully understand the mechanics.

Nice work!

Developer

Nah this is the true rain world, anyways thanks for giving it a try! Hope youll enjoy when you hopefully return with time on your hands!

I love basically everything about this game. The characters are really cute and make me think of Furret (affectionate). The cutscene towards the start could use a "move dialogue faster" button though, as I found I was able to read each line like four or five times before the text continued. I'm really interested in the story concept and would love to see this get a full release. Like, I'd straight up buy a full version of this on Steam or smth

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! Ypu absolutely hit it on the spot my inspirations were furret and slugcat from rainworld, yeah the pacing is kinda iffy for sure. But anyways thanks for playing!
