Snek fun. This game has a nice aesthetic to it - the colors, fonts, shapes. I don’t mind the difficulty, but a quicker restart would be a nice QoL improvement.
Very fun! The game felt polished and thought out! I especially liked some of the visual effects used!
I love the sound and screen shake!! the juice is juicing for this game. one thing I found about control was, I think they are not exact path of cursor. so If I go and took a sharp turn it will be curvier by the snake. Even If I think I am in clear I end up getting hit.
This is experience. Overall loved the game.
- Satoru gojo :)
oh yes, I made the snake turn a little slower since the original controls were super broken and jittery, but ill try remaking the controls from scratch for the post-jam version
Thank you for playing!
Cool game, fun to see more people with the same idea as us. I like the art and the narrative is a nice touch. My feedback would be that I think it would had been nice if the player could see the direction the enemies are going to move even when they are red. Maybe also exploring how the controls would feel if you controlled the snake by turning it with A/D or left/right arrow if you haven't done already. Other than that well done!
thank you! I'll keep this in mind for a post jam version :D
A really nice concept! I liked the art and UI too. The controls are a little difficult and you need to be really fast to make the loop. Overall nice work!
Thanks! :D
I plan on making controls easier after the jam since a few have complained about it being too hard
i like the concept and the gameplay the art, the game also feels very polished and the font everything seems clean,
but i did find the controls harder but this game is a BANGER!! def would reccommend u to try it
Thank you for playing! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :D
I'll keep in mind to make the controls easier for future versions of the game!
This game is a lot of fun! We actually built quite similar mechanics; it's so fun to see where we made small different decisions and how those cascaded into different games. I really liked the later stages where I had a longer snake and more speed points. I found myself wishing I could pick up items to increase my survival rate to make up for small mistakes I made earlier in the game when my snake was smaller. Just so that I could have kept my run going for longer!
Thank you so much for playing!
yeah I should have added a health pickup at some point, it wouldn't have been hard to implement but I kind of forgot about it 😅
But I'm interested in your game now. Will add it to my play-list :D
this is so peak teach me your secrets
First I mash my computer and then make two identical functions for no reason. This is what they call Peak Programming Experience.
ah I see, I will try this in my next project.
also is there any correlation between PPE (Peak Programming Experience) and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)?
research in that department is still undergoing
keep me updated
Soundtrack is very fun, design IS CRISPY, I enjoyed the narrative. Nice work.
Thank youuu! :D
SUPER creative idea for this game jam, and incredibly well executed! great stuff
Thank you so much for playing!
This is REALLY polished for a game jam! The idea was really creative too. You made great use of the shaders and text effects. I think the bug I experienced has already been addressed by another developer. Overall great job!
Thank you :DD
yeah a lot of bugs last-minute unfortunately, had to scrap a ton of content or it would ruin the experience (im assuming you mean the enemies taking a fraction of a second before death)
Great art style and cool twist on the "loop" concept.
Really dig the music.
Really cool game! What separates this from other draw a circle games is the strategy and speed points, killing enemies gives you speed points but you shouldn't waste them when not needed and not knowing which direction enemies will move keeps you playing it safe and staying in a small compact shape to be ready for any situation, also random enemy spawning forces you to choose if you want to form a big circle to destroy any unlucky enemies that spawn inside your loop or stay to the side of the map where it'll be safer, really awesome gameplay idea, the crt visuals and the dialogue have such a cool vibe and good tense music too that fits the theme! Not sure if the bomb at the end is just the end game sort of thing or if there's a way to live, still though really fun game! Good work!
originally it was supposed to be an infinite arcade game, and the bomb was supposed to be a game mechanic where you had to SHATTER all of them before the timer ran out. but 5 hours before deadline, it crashed the game. still no clue why...
so i completely scrapped it and made it a last minute mechanic.
its an endgame thing btw, there is so surviving it
also im pretty sure you're the only one who's actually seen the end, even i had to use cheats and debug mode to reach the end lmao
thanks so much for playing! i'm glad you liked it :D
Well I've wrote out my strategies if anyone needs them lol, great game!
This is surprisingly polished for a game jam game, easily one of the best games I played. There's a slight bug when you complete the loop around the enemy, I think they still have a few frames in which they can damage you even after dying. But everything else is great
Oh i didnt know that actually. weird bug.
glad to know you liked it! i focused waaaaaay to much on polish instead of the actual content this year :0
Interesting concept but it's a bit too hard for me, keep dying in the tutorial XD
oh sorry about that! ill see if i can get a video of gameplay by tomorrow to show how to play through the game, if it helps!
if i can, ill reply when i update the page :D
neat
oh by the way i got a playthrough on the game page done, but it doesn't show the ending as i want players to experience it themselves :3
Really stylish and fun, but definitely kicked my butt a little.
I feel like adding an ability to heal yourself would been helpful (unless there is one and i missed it in my brief time playing it)
Oh, theres no healing thing unfortunately :(
wanted the game to be a bit challenging since there are only 11 (plus secret ending) levels
so far i dont think anyone has reached it.
but if it helps, you can boost to complete loops easier (since you temporarily increase and then decrease in size when doing so)
it can also be used to escape any danger
Thanks for playing! will try yours out soon
Ok , For me its number 1 game in this jam , I am so proud of you , Keep It up , Dont forget That you made a peak game in 3 days oh actually 4 :)
Thank you so much for playtesting!
Np its a pleasure to help you
This is literally one of the ideas we had and then discarded it, but it is so cool to see it come to life and so well done, I really like how the game explains little by little and the soundtrack is so cool!
Thank you! I'm interested in what idea you went with, but I can't see the game next to your username. Even if you didn't submit it, I'd like to know what your idea was :D
Sure thing, /jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3785280 !
Pretty decent idea and very nice implementation. Artwork us clean and CRT boosts it by a lot.
The issue I found is that The tutorial runs every time and it can be very difficult to tell whether you can kill an enemy or no.
I just updated it. This version now should be my final one.
Thanks for playing by the way :D
I changes a lot of the game here so i recommend you check it out
DONE! I added a skip dialogue option!
Nice work
I'll play again once the rating period begins or maybe tmr
