I think the progression is super slow for a game jam game. Nevertheless my time is 46:53. It’s so addictive.

I only stopped because I accidentally clicked a link, So many varieties in piñatas and weapons, great job!!
Tower defense meets clicker game. Quite interesting!
After defeating the whale, I wanted more : )
Could I have beaten it faster if I didn't get distracted, max everything (and not realise you could scroll to more pinatas)?
Yes. Yes I could have. But I don't care.
What an incredible submission. The style, the polish, the hilarious visual and audio design, and even how stable everything was even near the end... No wonder everyone in the team is so well regarded. An absolute pleasure.

Very impressive game! Everything , from the UI, art, and effects to the overall game feel is extremely polished. One tiny issue is that I missed the last two types of piñata at first. The piñata UI fades out at the bottom, making it hard to see that there’s still something underneath. Maybe add an arrow button or a scroll bar on the side. Still, an amazing game. Great job!
Thank you for playing and leaving your feedback! The fadeout was our solution to make it visible to people that there's more at the bottom actually. Guess that doesn't work for everyone. We used to have a scroll bar but it kinda broke the entire scroll view in this UI every time we turned it on. Thanks, Unity lol :D
Anyway, I'm glad that it still worked out for you and you enjoyed our game :)
Our team played together and we had to play 'til the whale was down because it was just too addicting :'D We made it in 61 minutes!! I can't believe that we actually played for 61 minutes because it felt like 10 or so? :D At some point, my team partner and me fought over the mouse because each of us wanted to play themselves xD
Your game was extremely fun, crazy and cute and we kept playing because we wanted to see more pinatas... the hedgehog was insanely cute :') (the others too of course!) My personal fav was the cake that could slice, really creative! The animations are simple yet incredibly fitting and make the game look even more polished.
Overall, super great game idea and execution! :)

Managed to beat it. I was super excited to find you guys! I've been watching a lot of your channels for years. Jonas Tyroller was a big part of the reason I started game dev about 5 years ago. I also have to thank rugbug for the photon tutorials 😂. I had a blast playing, you guys added an insane amount of polish. The audio was fun too. It would mean the world to me if you could check out my game.
Very fun idea! I agree that the beginning is a bit slow so I struggled seeing how the game would scale without the screenshot, but ultimately it was worth it. Excellent work!
Entertaining mechanics, very cute art, the only thing is the beginning is a bit slow but good work
I wish there was a button to give more than 5 stars for the artwork, I love it <3
Just to see what would happened, I tried this strategy:
Buy whatever is cheapest at that moment.
What did it teach me? I'm still trying to figure it out.
I know it placed FAR too much emphasis on weapons. From a very early stage, piñatas were obliterated almost the instant they appeared. I found myself forced to place more and more weapons I didn't need (another hat shooter?) when I should have been investing in the spawn rate. Some piñatas could not even be unlocked until all of the weapons were completely maxed out!
Below is a view just before I finally bought the the whale. Not a piñata in sight.
At 83:22, this is by far my longest game.
So what is the absolute best strategy to speed run this game? The one that future speed runners will someday know they have to use to have a shot at the record? And if you've tried it, what was your time?

Fascinating! That's some crazy dedication for science! And yeah the towers are kinda "too cheap" for this to be worth it. The best time I've seen I think was by AIA who had 34 minutes flat. He completely ignored waterguns but I think he could've built some at the boss because then he could've beat the boss faster so there's room for optimization, I guess.
I was completely engaged the whole 45m I spent right up until the end when I killed the whale. You guys did a fantastic job!
Easily the game I spent the most time playing ,the classic farming game (I forgot the name of this genre) mixed with piñata elements and tower defense. The art is super cute and pleasant, and the sound work was also extremely enjoyable and nice to listen to. I hope to see more projects from this team soon. Kisses!
This game is adorable. The art is very clean and cute, and the sounds fit in perfectly to tie everything together. Combining a tower defense game with an idle game to fit the looping theme is very clever and works very well. Great job on this game!
