Too bad you couldn't finish it because you had to "get back to woooork" (see what I did there ?)

Really digging the art style, I see more and more 2D sprited FPS those days and I can't get enough !

The smear effect on the scissors might be a bit too smeary IMO it should have some more frames maybe ?

Really nice what you managed to do while having to work and I hope you can get more time for developping games, have a nice day :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! True, I couldn’t get the scissors anim just right xD I’m really glad you finished the game!!

Submitted(+1)

That really do be how it is trying to escape huh? Can’t quite do it, and it’s as dangerous as running with scissors. Truly modern poetry. I do feel like last year’s jam schedule was better, but amazing you got this much done with so little time regardless!

Developer(+1)

This comment resonates with me deeply, because it shows that you not only played the game, but you really consumed it, you felt it and understood it.

Maybe “modern poetry” might be a stretch, but there was indeed an attempt to translate a real life feeling into the game and you totally got it.

I love to create games that have a sense of art to them (as you can see from some games on my profile) and this one was no different and I love that you got the feeling I was trying to convey when you played it.

Thank you so much for playing and leaving this awesome comment, I love it.

Haha, really funny game, even with how short it was. At first I was a little bit confused on how this has "looping" in it, but then it's just loops back to the same room. I mean, it's not much of a game right now, but I'm glad you uploaded it anyway. Life happens so don't worry too much about it.

Thank you for playing! The loop back to the same room represents your day to day trying to escape.

couldnt really figure it out, but i like the idea

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting anyways!

Loved the art and the fact it was embed in the browser. Shame you didn't have proper time to finish, would love to see how it ends :)

Developer

Thank you so much! Yes, and its not a joke, I work remotelly and exactly from tuesday to saturday, I had to travel to city I work for, I literally lost 75% of the jam 😢

GET BACK TO WOOORK

Very funny idea, and definitely relatable. It's almost more fitting that it isn't finished because of having to work.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and leaving a review!! Also, congrats for reaching the end, not many people are getting there! (obs: im working as i type this)

Nice to have voice acting. I like the mix of 2D and 3D art.  Unfortunately, I didn't manage to escape. Anyway, the controls are nice and it would nice to see this further developed. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

Really a fun idea, wish it was finished ): ,but excited to see where this ends.

Developer

Thank you!

You should have put some warnings up, this was frickin scary...

Next time, escape work so you can finish the game ;)

Cool visuals and nice audio. I really like how polished it felt!

Well done, it would be cool to see the full game :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!! Did you manage to escape 😳?

Submitted(+1)

Yep, but I still have to go to work tomorrow :(

Submitted(+1)

Haha I wish we could have seen what could have been if REAL work didn't end up stealing your time. Either way, I like the art style of the boss and the scissors. Keep it up!

Developer

Thank you so much! Did you manage to escape?:o

Submitted(+1)

No I did not, but I did see the comment where you discussed the catch, though.

I am currently without work ... really. But I don't want such a boss. I was lucky so far.

When playing it was feeling very uneasy, having the urge to follow the bosses command. And again and again.

I was not able to find the right approach of pressing buttons, killing the boss.

Nice drawing of the pink boss and the sizzor.

Developer

Thank you so much, my goal was to make everything with that art style but had no time :/

Submitted(+1)

I pressed all the buttons. Any clue on how to beat this?

Developer

I intended to put hints inside the game, on the first part even, numbers on the tables and stuff like that, so that the player would need to check the environment to understand how to escape, but unfortunately I ran out of time to make those hints.

Basically you need to press the buttons and kill the boss in a specific order. There’s 3 buttons in total. In the current state its about trial and error.

The scissors animation looks cool ! Idk how I feel about murdering my boss with it tho (get back to work)

Developer(+1)

Its ok, your boss sucks xD Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I think the : "Get back to work~" will haunt me for the rest of my day xD

Cool narrative and monster ... unfortunately I can't escape work ...

Submitted(+1)

Also ... did I just commit a murder ?!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, now GET BACK TO WORK

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I can't escape work! I'll go back to it then…

Developer

I fleeing from it right now to rate some jam games aswell xD Thanks for playing

Submitted(+1)

I am too dumb to escape the loop with the pink monster. Usually I am not a fans of 3D games but this one has a smooth camera movement and easy control. Would like to have more guidance though. The art style of the rooms and the hand with scissors seem a bit unharmonic as well.

Developer(+1)

Yes, I intended to fit all art with the art you see at the hand and at the pink monster, but unfortunately only had about 8 hours to develop this. The way to solve is to find the right order to do stuff, but its very criptic and trial and error based, I wish I could have made it a lot sharper and more polished to be not just about guessing, but more about reading the environment to find clues, but no time. Thank you for playing anyways!

The signs at the end actually work so well, I thought they were the player talking to themselves as part of the commentary/narrative lol. Chillingly relatable...
Sweet hand drawn animation as well!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Makes me really glad that you got the end!
