Nice to play a 3D racing game and I like that van art. I had some trouble with the steering though.
The controls defiantly need to be looked at. But its a good idea. I love kart games.
good job, controls was in need to enhance, but for game like this with this limited time, it is good
For your 2nd 3D game this is pretty good! I'm not too worried about the controls because you can easily tune those. The art and level design is solid, I'd just add some sound effects and tune the controls a bit and this would be really fun!
good use of theme! risking getting them and collecting cookies (biscuits).
i like the art and FX!
the controls do need some tightening but that would be easy! good work for 1 week jam :)
yo sorry but i cant enjoy the game, the controll way to hard......
Very difficult to control
Also, if you're making a 2D game, y'all could in fact try out my game (Owlet and the Biscuit Tower) or another 2D game to see some inspiration or at least take some notes on some Godot tutorials since it appears that y'all used Godot for this game. There's my advice for y'all, and I hope this helps in the future of y'all's games! Happy game developing! ๐๐
Thanks for playing and for your feedback, we've actually been using godot as our main engine for a little over a year now, and it's been a great learning experience, we are always looking to improve!
This is our 2nd ever 3D game, and due to time constraints, we couldn't finish it at the level we envisioned initially. Making cars are hard, so I will definitely be doing some research and watching tutorials on better implementations to improve the handling xD
PS. If you're interested, you can check out our previous 2D jam projects on my itch page, they are also built with godot, and we are really proud of them! :D
My apologies to y'all, but I have VERY mixed feelings about your game. First off, when I gone ahead and chose my track (There was only one), the game was severely struggling on my laptop. Second off, when I have accidentally gone out-of-bounds, and tried to reverse by holding the S key, the van got stuck, and I couldn't even move, which those two factors just ruined the game for me. I'm not saying your game is terrible, but it could definently use some improvements. 2.75/5 stars. My apologies, but this is the lowest score I've ranked throughout all the games I reviewed, but hopefully in the future, you can improve on a lot of factors! ๐๐
bro what am i suppose to do drive my car start to the hell like what is this control the only way to win this game is going as slow as possible i am crying T_T
I like the 3d models but what is this car handling ๐ญ
Thanks for playing! We have to agree that the car handling is absolute dog water xD
It was our first time building a vehicle in godot, and for ease of use we decided to use the built-in vehicle body class which in hindsight was a good idea as the initial setup saved a lot of time. The built-in class is awesome, but it can get a bit finicky when adjusting values to get the right feel. We initially wanted a car controller that was difficult but still fun to use, and it ended up just being difficult and unintuitive.
We've gained a lot of knowledge and will hopefully be able to develop beter cars in future projects, but overall the jam was really fun!
