Very cool visuals, great job
Great game, it's nice to see a game that's not afraid to show a bit of realism. The dialogues, visuals and sound design were top notch here. Of course, the entire running sequence was a cherry on top, each run felt like a sprint for your life that was almost impossible to pull off, yet somehow it worked.
Keep up the good work!
the pixelated low quality texture really made this 100x better defiantly unique
Why won't the sniper just let me have my food T_T. Great game, great pressure, the intensity just to reach another cover, will you make it? will you not....?
Wow. Bravo. I made it in the end. I love gim stories, and this could definitely be a theme for an 11 Bit game. That desperation and realism of This War Of Mine. The writing was great and I liked getting a feel for the place the protagonist lives from their interactions with the people in the other flats. I died many times trying to find my way. Wasn't sure where I was trying to get to. I read an earlier comment that gave me a clue so figured it out in the end. Very challenging. And very bold. Great work. Love seeing these kind of narratives and themes in games. Less of the glory and more of the grim reality of war.
This was enjoyable, sad, knowledgeable. I loved the little history lesson. And the graphics freak me out in a specific "granny" way.
Love the map design and the immersive story with the dialogue. Very well put together
Nice narrative. Visuals and audio really hammer home the vibe. Nice job!
Amazing. I am not sure if you actually can get through the ally? I got shot, but honestly, from a narrative perspective, that was probably the better, more impactful ending (as cynical as this might sound).
You talk to the people in the house and once you go out into the alley, you know what is coming. Not having the solution at hand and just getting shot is a very brutal, nihilistic narrative approach - but it is also totally fitting to the theme of the game. I also loved the soundtrack, the constant background hum was a really impactful choice and how you altered it outside of the building.
But I am still curious, can you actually get to the other side?
Thanks, it's definitely not supposed to be easy, but you can make it out, there's a little scene at the end.
Characters at the doors have some tips, and with one of them you can even unlock a shortcut to make it easier.
But it's totally possible to do it the whole way. I think the clues from characters might be a little unintuitive, when they say "side to side" it's meant to be interpreted from one side of the street to another, not strafing A-D during a run.
So once you're behind cover - pick the next cover that is most perpendicular to the street and just book it in the straight line. If you think about it from snipers view, the less you're running towards him the harder it is for him to hit you. This tactic will work 100% of the time, there's no luck involved.
Cool, I was just very curious how you approached the ending from a writing perspective. I think your game does it very well, that, if you do not get the good ending, you still take a lot from the game. For a narrative driven game, I really think that is such a strong point. But probably, most players wont get the good ending on their first attempt, since as you said, it is not easy.
So most players will get the bad ending on their first attempt. Which, I think is narratively really good. So I also like that the NPCs give you cryptic clues, at least, I personally liked it. I think it emphasized the theme of the game so much better.
so once more: love the game. Strong narrative. Well done
Great everything all around the board. The lack of a jump threw me for a loop for a second, but the movement is very intuitive. The story, visuals, audio, etc. were all really well made. Probably the best story out of the games that I’ve played so far. Really impressive for a solo dev.
Usually I take a screenshot of the end screen if I beat the game, but it kind of just cuts to black for this one sooo…
Liked the vibe of this game a lot. Loved your interpretation of the theme and what you did with it. I thought your game was especially aesthetically cohesive.
Here's a vod of me playing your game. Thanks for sharing!

Good piece of art we got here. The point of view where the story is driven is well thought, from the perspective of a child you get to interact with the world. I like how it may allow players to engage in the characters role and play it their way. I also like the way UI is displayed.
Prince of the snacks
Interesting experience.
Ohhh... Your writing is immaculate! Very captivating and artistic. I am really impressed. Why is there no "Story" criteria in this jam?!
Thank you. I didn't even check the criteria this time, shame. But it there's rarely anything to rate in game jam games in terms of narrative/story so I guess it makes sense
I like games with this kind of art; they remind me of Mike Klubnika games and similar developers.
Thanks! Now that you say that, it really does. It's that psx style shader with limited colour palette that does it I think
Friendliest sniper
Ok this was epic
This had a great atmosphere, the audio cues for the threat (not to spoiler it for others) really put the pressure on me to move and hide. The storytelling was nice and detailed - hope you manage to flesh this out more and introduce some more gameplay elements, it is looking promising!
Thanks!

for sure 5 out 5 it feels like real
Loved the game! It’s small but feels complete, and the narration was fantastic—I really enjoyed it.
Critique: There could be more gameplay in place of those 4–5 narration segments, but I still loved them.
Rating: 4 out of 5. Overall, it feels complete, which is great!
