How does the game fit the theme?
Players must carefully dunk their biscuit into a beverage, balancing risk and reward: dunk too cautiously, and the perfect score slips away, dunk to recklessly, and the biscuit falls apart. Play

I am a perfectionist and a stressor, so this game really tested me lol! I really appreciated the attention to detail, like the changing of the biscuit colour the more/longer you dunked it.  The music was also perfect.  Perhaps including a way to close the shop by clicking somewhere on the screen instead of clicking the shop icon again would be helpful to save time, every second gained is a second closer to perfection! Thanks for the lovely experience!

Appreciate the detail recognition. Good suggestion. Thanks for playing :P

Really loved the aesthetic of the game. Graphics and animations are really cute, and with the music it gives a calming feel to the game despite stressing about my soggy biscuits at the bottom of my drink. 🤮🤣 The game is a little bit long so it would be nice to see an overall timer, or biscuit counter. Otherwise, really well done. 🤗

Developer(+2)

Oh for sure, should have added that. Thanks for the suggestion:D

The concept and details of this game are really amazing, and I absolutely love playing it. The graphics and animations are also very well done. It's a pity that the content is a bit lacking. If more gameplay elements and challenges could be added, it would be perfect

We're thinking about updating it with more stuff, but not sure if we can until after the rating period. Appreciate the feedback :D

Menu and starting the game has awesome animation and the music is nice :D
I like the shop and of course crumbs number goes up feels good!

A couple of notes:
- I had a bit of trouble figuring out what the optimal strategy was, it was hard to see how many crumbs I got every round.
- I wanted to read about the items in the shop but they rotate every 10 seconds or so? And the game doesn't pause when shop is open.

Maybe a message showing +x crumbs at the end of each timer could help and maybe pause time when shop is open.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for your feedback :). To emphasise the risk of the theme, the crumb amount and frequency are random, but they will only spawn on the release of a click. The shop resets what's avaliable per level (when the timer reaches zero) Like a lot of the game, risk was the key idea, so the game not pausing in the shop was part of that. The idea is you figure out the shop items and optimal strategy through multiple playthroughs. It was our first game so there was bound to be things wrong haha. Like others, your feedback is valuable information that will lead to better guided games in the future though, so thank you for reviewing :)

Had a good time trying to min-max my cookie perfection. I never thought a game would have me slide my scroll wheel with my whole arm. Yall actually got me craving those cookies, they look so delicious. Would glaaaadly recommend!

Developer(+1)

Haha that's hilarious to imagine. Thanks for playing :D

pretty fun game, loved the asset, looks really yummy 10/10 :D

i do wish the game pauses for the shop and when you are in the shop and you dont have any cookies to spend you cant really  get out of it :(

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

We wrestled with whether it should pause while in the shop haha. Oh you can click thr shop again to get out of the shop, should have put a close button on there too really. Thanks for the review :P

Found the game after you commented on my game which is quite similar. Overall I really like your game, there's a lot more input than my game, well done.

Developer (1 edit)

We might have more stuff, but you did a better job emphasising the theme mate. Thanks for the review

Very soothing chill-out, out playing game. Would love some SFX to accompany the dunking, now all I want is to buy some cookies (biscuits) and dunk them in a glass of milk or cup of tea :)

Developer(+1)

Agreed, SFX would have made it much better, just ran out of time. Appreciate the review :D

I liked the idea, I think there are things to build from it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your time :D

Very solid foundation! The music is very fitting. The dunking and rotating is made very well.
The only gripe I have with it is that I do not seem to get very many crumbs even when I dunk again and again.
Apart from that, great Work!

Developer(+1)

I'll tell you a secret, crumbs are only awarded if >5% of the biscuit perfection meter is full, to avoid spamming without risk, but past that the amount and drop frequency is random. Thanks for playing :)

Game looks, sounds and feels good. Great game to spend time with during the coffee break.

P.S.

  • As the progress bar on the top of the screen end on the perfect biscuit it's not clear that you can over-dunk it. I got it only when observed the crumbles particles. (Or maybe I just don't understand something)
Developer(+3)

Perhaps a mini tutorial or putting our description into our game page would help for next time. Thanks for the feedback :P

Nice and simple. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot :D

Charming little game. The rotating cookie was a clever idea to add some difficulty and variety into the game. Also, I really like that the cookie can break if you try to force it into the cup, very nice attention to details!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks for playing and reviewing:)

cool game, there were some good things about your game, the clicker style was changed and refined into a biscuit dunk mechanic. and the use of the theme was incredibly creative! but i wish there was more of a punishment for dunking your biscuit too long, and the duncking mechanic could be harder, like adding a qte or something similar could work. and i’m not sure if you did this on purpose, but the shop menu could pause the game so i could read my upgrades better and choose easier, but i guess that was a type of risking as well, you risk your timer for an upgrade for your first jam, this game was great!

Developer(+1)

You're correct about the shop mechanic, we played into the risk factor going forward with the shop making the player choose to miss a few points in exchange for an upgrade without pausing. Either way would work honestly but just felt like it kept the pace up with the fast moving levels. Thanks for playing 😊

Submitted(+3)

Cute game, liked how dunking switched up the cookie clicker style of game. Think gamifying and tweaking the dunking a tad more, and some new and unique upgrades would make the game a slam dunk.

Developer(+1)

There were many ideas, but unfortunately we didn't have the time after spending so much on the shader code to make the darkening and breaking of the biscuits haha. Thanks for the feedback though :D
