I love LOVE the art style!! The style for the game is super cohesive with the cute and silliness of the character design and animations. CUTE

Developer

Thank you for playing! That means a lot to us seeing your game look that cute too. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Such a cutesy game, the failure sound is hilarious as well. Reminds me of those old-time flash game. Everything looks pretty polished also.

Thank you for playing! Hope you enjoyed the game!

it's neat, i liked the goofy art style, but maybe it could use some polish like particles and stuff, also the circle positions were a bit odd sometimes, probably because it's just an infinitely thin raycast

it looks a bit weird how you just instantly teleport to the spot you bite, but i guess it sorta fits the style (but also the come back is smooth so idk what's going on there lol, pick one and stick to it)

also seems like the velocity around it isn't constant?

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game!

Oh yesssss the particles! I knew I'd missed something :( And yeah, you are right, that was a single raycast, should have gone for something like a spherecast or whatever. For the velocity, I guess it's the physics engine not 100% sure what to do when the collider changes, but it may also be we just did something stupid. Need investigation XD

This game is adorable! Love the derpy fairies. Fun mechanic of eating away the biscuits! Very nice!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game!

This game is beautifully visually cohesive! Everything about the art and the gameplay works really well together to deliver a specific feeling. Awesome work!

Extremely cute and silly artstyle! :D

The game itself is really polished and I enjoyed the physics-based gameplay (although it was a little hard for my smooth brain xD) The audio design also fits the artstyle really well and it's just so funny watching those little fairies munch away at the biscuit. Overall, a really solid game! :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! I hope the game isn't too hard, there's a hard mode after all, so the easy one should be "easy". Well, I guess that's a tell of lack of balancing sessions I guess :(

Submitted

No no, it wasn't THAT hard, just took a little getting used to! I'd say it's just the right difficulty! :D

Game is so fun and SO POLISHED. Congrats! Loved the art style, the music´s great, and the idea AND execution both are excellent. Great job!

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game!

ITS SO CUTE. Only thing I wish that could be different is how charging works, as it felt like I had to wait a full rotation to get a big enough bite (but this is nitpicking). Great idea with the eating, and trying to make the biscuit roll afterwards is ingenious. The hill environment being a different style than the fairies and the cookie while still meshing perfectly somehow is some art witchcraft. Every part is tailored made to fit this whimsical but wacky aesthetic and I love it. Great entry.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! Charging is one of the things that we struggle with during development. We toyed with different ideas from those time-it bars to QTEs but the current one is the easiest to implement and fine-tune, and has just been left there due to time constraints. It would be cool if there were multiple ways to charge depending on the fairy/other factor. Sound fun to me!

Cute artstyle, love the design of the fairies and fun seeing a physics based game, can't get past that square biscuit!

Developer

Thank you for playing! The square biscuit is the first challenge that may or may not be too difficult. Still need balancing I suppose. Hope you enjoyed the game regardless!

This is actually really cool! To state the obvious, the art is extremely good and full of charm, you've perfected their gremlin energy! UI is really clean, I really like that on the main menu you press a button to fade to the actual main menu buttons, so clean!Bbefore I forget even the itch page is awesome, I love the banner having a chunk eaten out of it too lol. Gameplay is sold, I was worried it would only be circular biscuits but you then had multiple shapes which caused me to think of different ways I could get the cookie to roll, but not only that, it seems that you are also forced to bite for certain shapes like the rectangle in order to get it too roll at all (at least I think you do), and it's not just a thing for extra points, so cool! This is such a good idea, could definitely expand on this with a bunch more shapes and level layouts! Music is nice too. Just a really well crafted game with excellent art and a brilliant idea with great execution, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! Great thanks for the square biscuit idea from one of our team members, it was such a stroke of genius. It's a shame though we don't have time to add in more strange-shaped biscuits (ginger bread man for a start), but we are already so happy with what we have currently. We also thought of adding other layouts but again time is not on our side this jam.

Again, thanks for the kind words, and we hope the game gave you a nice time.

This game reminds me of the old flash games which was nostalgic, never thought someone would make something like honestly.

This game is perfect as it is no need to change anything as far as played it

Also loved the character design for the fairies and mayor they are beautiful

Also, you lose screen music was genius

Fantastic work

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! Ah the good old flash game days. We will take that as a compliment if that reminds you of that :)

Great game! Loved the art and music, and the gamepaly itself is very enjoyable. Not sure why, but it gave me the old neopets minigames vibe hahaha

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! Yeah for real, short games like these always remind me of the good old days of flash games, we will take that as a compliment! :)

Man, it's simple, easy to understand and navigate, yet had strong theme delivery. Love to eat most of the cookies haha. Beside of the gameplay mechanic, i love the sound effect that made the game more alive and funny! Great games!!!

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game!

The art is so cute omg I love my lil fairy guy I want to EAT them.

Very unique gameplay and I really felt the ‘risk’ element as the core of the gameplay loop, so very well done on theme interpretation. Simple and easy to get into, the tutorial section was clean and informative. I wish I could get finer control over how much I ate and where but that’s part of the challenge I suppose! I also wish I could speed up through the scoring menu instead of waiting the 5 or so seconds each time.

Overall very polished entry, well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! The scoring screen is something that was on our radar, but just came too late into development that we don't have enough time before the deadline the add a skip/fast-forward feature. Will definitely add that later.

Very nicely  done game! The sounds were very fitting and the game felt pretty polished. This is a nitpick but the lose sound continued even if you retried right after the screen came up. GJ!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game! Usually, for sound effects, there would be such an issue, but it seems like it's way too long for both the lose and win sound effects. Lesson learned :(

Submitted(+1)

A really fun idea, though I wish the scoring screen was snappier, especially if  it's a situation where I'm going to restart. My first runs were getting the idea of what they wanted out of me to make it down the hill at all, and not catching the pause/restart buttons before the score showed up would ruin my flow a bit.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah, the scoring screen is something that was on our radar, but just came too late into development that we don't have enough time before the deadline the add a skip/fast-forward feature. Will definitely add that later. Hope you still enjoyed the game regardless.
