Well I come from years of Unreal, and this jam was my excuse to dive in to Godot and see its strengths and weaknesses. So, I'm not an expert on the engine or anything, but here's our submission if you want to help Grumpy the Cat save the world:

Here you go, our programmers are a little insane so they decided to mix Godot and Rust together to make the game but I think it worked out!

Hiya birdnofoot! Your game definitely looks promising, and while I haven't played it yet, I'll be sure to give it a go later on! Also, you can check out my game, Owlet and the Biscuit Tower, and just to let you know, it's a Nintendo Hard-esque 2D platformer (and when I mean Nintendo Hard, I mean a really hard game) where you take control of a character named Owlet, who must climb The Biscuit Tower while dodging spikes to reach The Legendary Biscuit. The unique mechanic of this game is that you can pass-through spikes by walking through them, it's just that jumping on them is deadly, and dying sends you right back at the beginning of the tower. Just to give you a heads-up, there's no checkpoints, the tower is short (but challenging enough to sink obsessive runs into), and if you're a little annoyed about the hitboxes and visual clarity, I'll try to fix those once the jam is over.

I really hope you play and enjoy my game, and give me feedback as a big bonus!

Hi birdnofoot! Here鈥檚 my game, Owlet and the Biscuit Tower, and it was made in Godot 4. (Link: https://sproutkid.itch.io/owlet-and-the-biscuit-tower). Just a quick warning, I鈥檝e heard a lot of people recently say that the hitboxes from the player and the spikes were too big, the visual clarity was a little off between the background and the spikes, and the fact that this game is HARD.  But, the spikes are pass-through, meaning you can walk past them, so if there鈥檚 large sections of the game to where you would THINK that鈥檚 impossible, all you have to do is walk past them, it鈥檚 just that as long as you don鈥檛 jump on them, as doing the latter will kill you. wanted to ask, are you familiar with 2D platformers, because if not, that鈥檚 okay. I advise you to start with the first part (AKA the one with the small platforms and the spikes, and here鈥檚 my tip, jump on the empty platform, walk past the spike, and jump on the next empty platform, and then, walk past the spike, and so on so forth until you reach the next part.) I already fixed the visual clarity issues and I鈥檓 already working on the hitboxes.

I hope you play and enjoy my game, and give me positive feedback (or some suggestions if you want)!! Thanks a lot if you do!
