Description
Genres - Orchestral, Solo Piano, Acoustic.
We composed this soundtrack for a short topdown RPG-Visualnovel game.
Our tracks represent, in order:
Title theme, Character Theme, Overworld (Day), General Story Cutscenes, Climax Story Cutscene, Overworld (Night) & Ending theme.
We composed these pieces by first deciding on the plot/theme of our game. The ghost girl, the shoreline, memory recollection, Yuri love interest, etc. Then we each started composing the important themes that would include motifs to be used throughout the rest of the songs.
DAW wise, all 3 of us used FL Studio,

How does it fit the theme?
Our songs are somber and slightly nostalgic feeling, we believe the themes fit as the pieces depict feelings of loneliness at night, quiet desperation and melancholy, and a longing/nostalgia for the past.

The timbres you choose work so well together. I like the acoustic guitar, pizz strings and marimba combination. Your melodies are well crafted, the subtle variation upon repeated motifs, so good. I can feel the nostalgia tugging at my sleeves, especially in tracks Ghostly Steps and Recollections. There is such a sadness that well up inside me when I listen to Forgotten Memories, along with a hint bitterness.The harmonies you use are gorgeous, and the piano work is remarkable.
Oooh, this was very nice. Love the piano's tone here. My fav has got to be the 2 shore tracks. The night one made me feel nostalgic for a day that never happened. I hope the ghost girl is well.

The string part in Ghostly Steps was fantastic! I think that one was also my favorite just because of how good the emotional swell of the strings was.
The rest of the OST was good too but that track had a really memorable high point.

I really loved that one, it feels like the music is played and the human side makes the difference (especially on ghostly steps and forgotten memories that are my favorites). Also a word about the artwork, one of the best I've seen so far, great job guys !

Wow this is so well composed! Reminds me of the excellent Chrono Trigger and Breath of the Wild soundtracks in places. The chord progressions and melodies are absolutely fantastic, it all seems so effortlessly complex and varied and they carry lots of emotion which is appropriate for your game idea. The tracks played live sound really good too! My favourite one has to be Title Theme, I really love the quick little flourishes you put in every so often.

Having our songs compared to the CHrono Trigger and the Breath of the Wild is genuinely such an honor, thank you! I think most of the focus in making the songs was definetely the melodic and harmonic aspect, we used a lot of motifs and tried to work on interesting harmonies to keep them interesting enough.
Very nice piano playing and strings arrangement I love all the voicings, chord progressions and melody used its very eloquant , lovely album, well done !

We came up with a story before the music so we could carefully select what song would represent what. I'm really happy it worked well to tell a story inside of the songs.

We wanted to emulate the Contemporary-Japanese style for this album so im very happy we succeeded :)
The cover art and instruments sound great! The harmonies used in all of the songs are what really sell me, SUPER dynamic, gripping and emotionally captivating and heart-wrenching. THIS is how you write orchestral music, fantastic work!

I really enjoy heavy-piano compositions like this. It makes me want to pick up the instrument myself so I can play these pieces! 'Title Theme' is my favorite; it’s just got that perfect feel to it.
