Played your games one of the last yesterday and yooooooo, this was a cool end of the day! I really like music, art, levels and, i mean this is overall a very cool project to play!
Also incredible representation of theme, so yeah, definately my 3rd all 5 in this GJ ~

Thank you for fun experience! 🖤

This was AMAZING! It's so well made and has so much potential for a full game- not to mention that it was adorable, too!

cute lil goat dude. got stuck in ghost form after stepping on a bramble, pressing R did nothing

EDIT ok I was able to find the thing to interact with to progress. It's not that clear what to do when you die far away from the thing you want the player to do. Maybe add a little wisp to guide the player after not moving for a couple seconds

There's lots of backtracking from your spawn points to where you were before when you did the thing

Not sure the lives system is necessary, pretty frustrating to have to start again.

I reached the end with a key missing and now I have to slowly walk back through the level to look for the missing key. Keys should either be optional or make them less easy to miss.

Walking back over the spawn points doesn't replenish your lives so now I have to try to stay alive so I don't need to repeat the whole game to see the ending

Cool game

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah we definitely have a few sore points to iron out haha.

This was adorable! The graphics were so polished, especially for the time period (that water shader was very neat), and the environment really had strong hollow knight vibes. Sometimes it was a bit annoying to go through the same parts of the map over and over for parts where you were required to die and respawn, but that was more of a 'me being impatient' issue than anything else. The menus, lighting, and transitions really made this feel like a finished, polished game. Great work!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! It's a common piece of feedback that we get so I don't think it's just you haha. Thanks very much <3

Fun game! The graphics looks and feel really nice.

The music is kinda simple, and I noticed that it was an asset, but it gets the job done and set a good vibe.

On the gameplay side, the puzzles were fun, but at the same time pretty linear and easy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I would have loved to see a bit more challenge :) I didn't quite like that sometimes the respawn point feels a bit far from the hazards, so you have to re-tread a level. The hazards were a bit too blended in with the environment, so sometimes it's hard to see and avoid them when needed.

Overall, I think it's a well made game, with pretty cool vibe, but I would love to see some of the kinks be ironed out :D

Developer(+1)

I appreciate the detailed feedback! I definitely agree with all points; we were a bit rushed getting everything in, and in light of it being a game jam, we decided to treat this as more of a tutorial level to a potential bigger game - if that helps explain some of the linearity and lack of proper challenge!

Thank you so much for playing and taking the time to leave feedback!

Looks really nice. Though on my computer was quite low on fps :( Also I suggest making the camera not hardly attached to the character, but slowly moving after

Developer

Oh, I'm sorry about the performance issues! We definitely need to look at a system that can enable/disable some of the graphic effects. The camera idea is good too, we'll take a look :)

Thank you for trying and giving us your feedback, though!

Just great there no much to say here! Played while listening Ghost... they should totally throw money at you people to do a game for the band xD

Developer

Haha, that would be cool. Thank you!

damn this looks so good!, the puzzles were cool and the whole vibe was great, its polished really well even if the movement is a bit jank imo, but other than that amazing

Developer

Thanks!

Oh this is BEAUTIFUL for a jam!

Decent amount of level, VERY good visual and artistic feel, relatively well debugged for a game jam entry, and overall something I have to give 5 stars.

I am wondering though: Is there any clue to the torch puzzle other than it being "two torches"? I wasn't sure if trying every combination of two was the intended solve.

Developer

Thank you very much!

There isn't another clue for the torches right now, we kind of shoe-horned that one in at the end as it was - it would definitely be beneficial to add more hints!

RAAAARGH i love the art style and it overall gives hollow knight vibes. Really like the living/death mechanic. Fantastic job!!!

Thank you very much <3

Super basic concept executed in a very cute way. I encountered some mildly frustrating collision issues, but the lives were lenient enough that I did not immediately game over. Plus, in instances where I died, I ended up just using the "ghost time" to explore the area a bit and maybe take a stab at a puzzle. I can see this going somewhere with maybe some kind of additional movement tech or enemies (I may have missed them, I did not have a ton of time). Overall, solid work! Thank you for sharing your project with the world.

Oh thank you, that's a huge compliment!

Amazing graphics and the goat was so lovely to move about. Not too sure if the extra lives system was necessary, but collecting the keys and the orbs were superb. It was beautiful
