The idea that planting flowers expands the radius of the safe zone seems truly brilliant. It would have been splendid if implemented. The visual effect where the screen distorts like an old CRT monitor whenever a pursuer appears was quite striking. As I grew accustomed to that warning sign, I found myself gradually adapting to what I'd previously considered an unreasonable difficulty level! Thank you for creating this.

Really love the aesthetics, it's got such a strong vibe. The screen distortion effects are cool! Nice spooky game :)

It's a good game. I like the clear gameplay and the monster design. The game's style is great, and the chase feels intense (I keep crashing into trees). Thanks for the 3 hp, it's very balanced and fair.

Nice job, the handdrawn style is a big plus; personally I get along a bit better with less chunky pixelart but it works for you. I am terrible at games where I need to evade dangers, I'm a through-the-wall kind of player :D But I did find most flowers at least. The camera effect is pretty cool, and it's cool of you to warn of it.

I liked everything about this game: the atmosphere, the art, the story, and the vibes. I'm glad I got to experience this game. Well done.

I love the concept and aesthetics! That said, it does seem both rather difficult and rather simple, not much to do besides wander around for flowers and *try* to run from the monster, I wish there was a bit more to it.

Cool game! I like the art style, it's really cool! I like the idea of the gameplay, but I have some comments: The game is really hard, it took me 3 tries to understood that I could run. It's quite hard to avoid monster; and it's even harder to find the flower, I wish there was something to lead me toward the nearest flower. But I liked  the whole vibe!

The juxtaposition between the menu and the actual gameplay surprised me, but it was welcome.
The art style is visually appealing, and the use of SFX is quite effective.
The only thing I will say is that it probably wouldn't hurt to tone down the game's difficulty a couple of notches, as whenever a chase was initiated, it just felt like there was no actual way to outrun the monster, and you were forced to take the hit.  This gets a little more frustrating when you realize that the spawns for the flower are random, so part of it feels inevitable.  Maybe I just have a skill issue or something, though.
Overall, though, this was pretty fun despite how crazy challenging it was.

Ok, that menu screen got me, it was super nice. I actually like a lot how the SFX were used in this, plus the music of course, but that coupled with the bold black-and-white visual style got a nice atmosphere to this game. I'm bit salty that it felt kinda unfair how running didn't seem to help against it, but who am I complaining, the effects when it approached were great addition. Overall, I liked this one, I'd say maybe it was bit too hard, maybe because the controls felt bit floaty, but I might just be complaining because I suck at the game lol. Good work on this!

I happened to come across this game, and the pixel art style is really beautiful. The sound and effects when the monster gets close are well done too. However, I found the gameplay a bit confusing at first. It took me several tries to get through.

If it’s not too much trouble, please try my game and leave a review. Thank you so much!

It was atmospheric, although the shaking made me feel a little nauseous, but maybe I overplayed it.

I think that this game is fine, I think it works well other than the fact that the monster is always there, and difficult from getting away from, and the fact you can see almost nothing in the large map with randomly positioned sunflowers.

Not bad.

The theming with sun and sunflowers, light and dark, it all builds a nice context and theme, the grey background with the yellow flowers is a good way to make them stand out, that I all like.

But there was one thing about it I liked less.. The monster..

There was ok build up, knowing they're always there, and that visual effect when they are close.

But then they themselves show up..

To me at least. They feel less like a big bad that wants to murder me, and more like a gremlin who's after me lucky hearts, only missing them cackling to wind as they run off after poking me.. I'm not quite sure what it is about them but that's the feeling I get looking at them..

Although I'll give you this, in my playtime it happened twice that I was on my last heart running from them, carrying the last flower, and that, that was tense..

I couldn't finish it but I will the game in my opinion uses a simple concept and it works well the monster can sometimes be a bit too hard to runaway from but I recon its just a part of the challenge the sound design is good I never really got scared but I would see other getting scared with how the monster gets the jump on you overall great game.

also the visuals look great I like the atmosphere and how everything is dull except the player and the flowers

The web version runs pretty bad thoe although it could just be my internet or browser

Fun gameplay loop, I really liked the effects when the monster gets close to you. I struggled a bit with finding the sunflowers later in the game, would love some sort of item that provides directional hints (maybe with some heavy consequences such as emitting sound). Overall thought this ran really smoothly and was very enjoyable :)

Really nice visual effects when the monster is near. I found it difficult to know what direction the monster was in. I often accidentally walked into the monster. It's also really frustrating not being able to get away from the monster. Would love it if the bed of sunflowers was a safe spot where the monster couldn't touch you giving you a chance to escape. Hope the feedback helps. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing! We definitely wanted to implement some kind of saferoom-y mechanic, maybe something where the flowers emit a radius the monster can't approach, and building the garden grew a larger central safe area. We didn't get around to adding it though! We have a lot to build on!

I really liked the use of the screen warping to sortof indicate when the monster was close, but I wasn't quite sure if/how I could interact with it beyond trying to run away. Finding the last few sunflowers was pretty hard and I had to venture far, but overall a fun experience!

Nice visuals and sound! The gameplay is fun and simple, but definitely challenging to win. I did feel like the stamina recovery is a bit slow. At first, I thought holding the sunflower or staying near the garden would keep the monster away, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

A well-crafted and comfy horror experience. Great use of the tilt-shift effect to ramp up the anxiety. Music is quite effective as well! It wasn't clear to me if the monster follows any pattern or can be avoided, but I may have missed something.. Good work!

Nice survival horror in a cute pixel art aesthetics. It would great if there is potion to revive health. Overall, it's very solidly made.
