Was uniquely terrifying to play <_> I got lost frequently and being under water alone would be awful. Great job to your team for the game you made!!!

The atmosphere is incredible. I felt this looming sense of dread wash over me intensifying the further I descended into the depths. The minimal UI is a great stylistic choice. It really emphasizes the isolation felt by the player, resulting in a terrifyingly immersive experience. The atmospheric sound palette and visual design are especially top tier.

I personally would have loved a depth gauge to see how far into the abyss I’d traveled, but ofc there’s only so much you can do in a jam.

Excellent work from the whole team!

Developer(+1)

Depth meter would of been an awesome Idea, Thanks for playing Shabs. Happy the atmosphere was a success :))

I got lost :D hehe would be nice to have a mini-map maybe? It would show us the part of the map that we already opened. Just an idea^^ But the idea being under water for long is already a horror to me, hehe.

Developer(+1)

Yeah the scale of the map is huge would be good to have more markers and a mini map

Developer(+1)

Mini map would be so cool, like a little radar effect a la halo or somethin if the game was a larger project

Nice game, love the atmosphere and the idea of being in an environment that is hostile, needing to fill up on air on the way, but i too got lost :D i did find the red artefact \0/

Developer

Thank you for playing!! Im glad you enjoyed the atmosphere

Developer(+1)

So glad you were able to find a single artefact. You win in my heart,

It's a nice idea (love me some underwater horror), but it's really easy to get lost. Also the physics while on land are too floaty.

Developer

Yea it is super easy to get lost, Tried using a narrator set up to lead people around but it ended up being a bit buggy. Were you able to get into the cave at all or find any of the artifacts?

The land physics are super floaty, i've tried to correct it and have made some really funny results, but nothing that felt better unfortunately.

Thank you so much for playing

I enjoyed it, but it is easy to get lost. I made it a ways in, but then got turned around.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing Ted!

The "anything" I find that I become a god that can fly (hehe)

Aside from the joke, I enjoyed the game

I did get lost on the level, any indication would be helpful

The atmosphere is great and fun visual

Great Job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, thank you very much. The level is really dumb big which helps with atmosphere but detracts from the experience in some aspects, thank you for playing our game.

Developer(+1)

The screenshot honestly means you are the most one with the sea out of anyone, you win the game.

I think it could have used better directional indicators or some breadcrumb mechanic as it was very easy to get lost/go in circles which was really annoying given the slow movement speed. I think the bubbles could have returned more oxygen as well, just camping on the bubble spawn to fill up was a bit aggravating. Those things aside I really liked the overall atmosphere and how the story unfolds and the oxygen mechanic created a lot of apprehension at times.  Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for sticking with it and playing despite the issues, that alone means everything. Thank you for your rating friend

I like the character physics and fishies, but no sound design, and really slow gameplay (also text at the beginning isn't lisible = white on clear yellow is difficult to read)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Really glad you like the fishies and character. Was the audio not playing for you? there are a couple different tracks that play as you move through the scene.

Fixed a couple things in the build including the colour you mentioned (I am colour blind for yellows and greens so sometimes I get them wrong.) Thank you for your comment! Made the character a little faster but yea the experience does run a bit long. Thank you for trying it out

I have the music from the beginning, but then it's just ambient sounds, should try it another time to confirm that.

Developer(+1)

If you want I can send you the different tracks on discord, the game is long and the path is unclear at the best of times

Developer

This is my first time making music for a game, let alone a horror game

Oh that’s a nice idea, maybe in your game page as a pack? How did you made the songs? Which tool did you use?

Developer(+1)

I made the final one that no one I think has heard initially as a test when devising the concept of the idea in BeepBox. the good old fashioned. The rest I "made" in ableton. I use air quotes because one of them is just a recording of me making noises and doing some crazy shit to it. I guarantee no one has heard it, which I am okay with.
