What can i not say about this! its so good and fun. I really don't know how you guys do this kind of games in G develop but you guys are amazing. I gave a ton of stars and its worth it.

Amazing game! My only problem is with the sound. If you added more it would have been perfect. Never the less I hope to see more updates for this.

It's a great game, I love the designs you made and the jumping mechanic with the weapon is very creative. The fights themselves are also frantic.

This game was pretty fun and the first person view was solid. The sounds could be a little better. But well made solid adventure. Please play mine and rate if you don't mind, thanks.

This is game might be one of the best games out there! Its really fun and exciting! you can use the shotgun to propel yourself up which is always a fun mechanic in a game I would be flying everywhere at the last part of the game just to avoid enemies HAHAHAH. The quality of the game is at its best, the sound effects, the music, the tentacles, the water, everything is just very cool! Congratulations man you might just win this game jam!

This game is very fun to play, a little on the easy side but still very fun. The low-poly visuals are well done (although slightly cliche) and the audio is nice too. Great Job!

Firstly, the game is actually fun, with low-poly visuals and PS1-style jagged edges, but the game's flaws are the bugs and the difficulty. The game has a mechanic where you shoot downwards and propel yourself forward, but the problem is that you can do this infinitely and just fly through the levels, and the enemies often get stuck in the scenery. The final boss is also ridiculously easy, and finally, you just end up spamming shots at the enemies since the reload time is ridiculously short.
Developer

Hey there! I appreciate your comment and am glad you enjoyed the visuals. I would also like to tell you that the gun-jump mechanic as well as the short reload are not bugs whatsoever, they were design decisions to make the game as fun as possible. I've had some people say that the game is punishingly hard, and others say it's too easy, all depends on how people play and how skilled they are at these types of games. The difficulty being a key flaw is true in some cases but it's also a flaw the game will always have, make it easier and it's boring some, make it harder and its impossible for others. The enemies getting stuck on levels also isn't really a "bug" in the classic sense, it has to do with the fact I had to manually place all the levels colliders both for the player and for the enemies pathfinding, due to the short time window I had to simplify a lot of the levels geometry when placing these invisible colliders which sometimes leads to enemies bumping into walls that are invisible to the player. I wish I had the time to take better care of the pathfinding colliders, but other things were more important at the time.

Overall, I just want to provide some reasoning/sense to why the game behaves in these ways in this response, and I hope I did that! I'm glad you enjoyed the game and had fun with it, and I appreciate the in-depth review and response! Comments like yours will certainly help me improve my future projects.

I didn't get very far because of the rocky section where I died hundreds of times, but the graphics are great, I'll have another opportunity to play again.

Awesome game, I love the graphics!

Thank you :D glad you enjoyed!

Congrats for your game! It was fun to try it out! I would say the rock hopping at the beginning of the game makes it very difficult and could be a potential barrier that will prevent beginners to see the FPS part, which is way more fun! Also the ennemies are running so fast that I can't even beat any of them without taking a massive amount of damage! Good job overall!

Developer

I agree, was not the best idea for a tutorial haha. Especially since platforming levels never appear again after the tutorial. Looking back, I would've done it a different way for sure.

Thank you for playing!

Beautiful and amazing game. Only complaints I had was I couldn't see how this game fitted the theme, and the gun jump is somewhat broken. Great job! :)

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals :D

the theme fits the game through the narrative/story, easy to miss if you skip it. I don't blame anyone for skipping it though haha, I originally wanted to create several interesting animated cutscenes with voice acting to make sure the story was a bigger part of the game (and the theme was more obvious) but ran out of time in the end and had to implement it through text :(

Thank you for playing! I appreciate your comment.

I love this game. When it loaded in 3D, I thought "They have a leg up over the competition in the game jam." Then I got to the action and couldn't stop grinning. I down want to spoil anything, but the agility you gain from an "item" in the game is really fun and funny. I struggled a bit with the platforming, though and didn't notice certain things right away. The music hypes me up too, the closest thing I think of to it is retro Jason in Friday the 13th game. Best game I've played in this jam. In my entire...no, just in the jam...for now ;)

I'm so glad you enjoyed playing! Your video is also great to help me understand how players are playing the game a little better, I appreciate you posting it!

Amazing game! The graphics really remind me of Dusk and it really fun to play. Also the gun jump is super broken, you can bombard the boss from above and dodge the eyes real easy that way! :D

Super cool boomer shooter! I think this would've KILLED in the previous jam with the theme "Overpowered".

wow! it is the best game I have tried so far. I liked the gun jump, it is so old school reminds me Quake 3 arena. I am very impressed that this 60 fps is made in GDevelop! Great work!
