- Excellent submission! The gameplay was fun, the fact that you're cats is cute, the art style and music supported and added to the gameplay, feedback was appropriate to the systems and helps the player understand what is happening. Reminds me of an action shooter you'd see in an arcade. That said, I encoundered one weird bug where the static level scenery almost 'blew away' is the best way I can describe it and did loops around the screen. Bug aside, this is something I'd play again. Great job!
- I loved the animations, art, and sound effects. The theming was on point and I could tell most of the enemies apart. The weapon upgrade system was a real treat. I started with the multishot. I never felt like I made a bad decision, and the one time I did make a poor shop choice I was able to bounce back. My issues with the game are mostly nitpicks: The animations seemed to break when moving up or down. For art, I was unable to tell the bouncy skulls apart from the normal skulls until my second playthrough. For glitches (and this is a big one), I walked up to the 2nd level 2 shop cat and saw every decorative prop (boxes, torches, signs, etc.) fly out of the map. I later found the props stuck in a wall. Luckily, the enemy spawners and green apple were unaffected.

This is the last game I am reviewing and its safe to say I saved the best for last. This game was incredibly fun, I liked grinding the enemies for coins and upgrading my cat to become even stronger. The upgrade mechanic makes the games progression feel meaningful and I wish there was more level to play because I had fun in the first two. I did however encounter 1 glitch that was pretty game breaking. The movement speed upgrade has no cap and its extremely cheap to get so I upgraded my character move speed a bunch which made me zoom so fast that I could phase through walls and the entire map. I don't think this speed was intended because at some point all the objects on the screen couldn't keep up with my character and started zooming off the map. It was kind of funny seeing all the objects fly out of the map. The devs should really cap the amount of times you can get a certain upgrade. Also, I chose the sniper class and upgraded damage a bunch, but the grey skeletons still took the same amount of hits to kill as an un upgraded sniper which is odd. The animations and graphics are really nice, but there is no animation for going up or down. Overall, my favorite game out of the 7.
This is a very good action-adventure game.
Pros:
- Nice artstyle
- Unique weapons allows for replayability and player customization
- Shop system is ambitious
- Implemented sound effects enhanced experience
Cons:
- No music leads to bland sections
- There is a intrusive lack of feedback for many of the systems, including: bullet registration, player damage, collected keys, and purchasing shop items. This led to me thinking the grey skulls were unkillable for a while.
- Allowing nearly infinite upgrades can break the game in unintended ways, such as with the speed upgrade.
The game could use some music to enhance the atmosphere, But even without that it was a fun experience to play. Though I would potentially recommend adding a cap to the amount of speed upgrades you can buy as if you buy enough you can walk through the walls and send the environment objects spinning.
Overall, quite good, graphics and sound effects supported a very functional gameplay loop. My only real complaints are that the lack of music results in an unintentionally oppressive atmosphere and that the lack of enemy variety and combat options results in the gameplay loop becoming tedious in very little time. A minor complaint is that the shop roulette system feels unnecessary and frustrating.
Overall very good; would be nice to have clearer indication as to when you hit an enemy. Difficulty was also a bit on the easy side.

Very fun game with a wonderful aesthetic. It reminds me of many beloved roguelite games. The cats are adorable and the sound effects were excellent, although the multishot attack seems to be missing a sound. Some background music would have been a nice addition. I tried all of the weapons and the shotgun/sniper felt nicely varied, although the multishot felt like a weaker shotgun to me.
Importantly, I would highly suggest either reworking the player's movement (it seems like you're setting the transform position?) and/or limiting how many speed upgrades the player can buy. After buying about 12 movement upgrades, the player can move through locked doors, and 22 upgrades lets the player move through walls freely (to say nothing of how difficult the game is to control). I ended up skipping the last third of level 2 because I found the apple while speeding around outside the map.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this game, and it gave me the same fun as other games that I love.
Super charming and runs incredibly smoothly. Love the art style and the movement controls. Being able to choose a weapons class is super neat and adds a lot to replay-ability. There isn’t too much challenge with the enemies, but that’s not a bad thing, especially for a first level.
This game was very fun! I really enjoyed how I got to upgrade the characters stats and use that to kill enemies faster. I loved how the art style fit the game, and I really enjoyed the animations on the player. The game was not too difficult, and I thought the progression in difficulty as one went through the maze was fair and balanced. The enemies didn't pose much of a challenge; the player was so fast they could easily be dodged. This made combat a bit superfluous. I think the maze was also rather small; I would have enjoyed more challenges along the way.
this game was so cute!! i will say i think there may be an issue with the projectiles not always counting as hits even though it would visually connect with enemies, unless some of them took more than one hit. it was a little embarrassing because i kept saying "hey hold this for me" thinking they would die and then they didn't LOL so as someone else mentioned i think a health status bar for the enemies would be useful! the art design was very cool, a bit barren but nothing about that took me away from the experience! cool sound effects, especially for the sniper weapon! i haven't won yet but i'm going to try all 3 weapons until i at least win once! great job on this! (also hugeeeee fan of the wobbly cat)
Collision on projectiles is a bit hit or miss, if there was a health indicator on enemies I could see this removing some frustration.
This game had a fun gameplay loop. It was hard at times because projectiles that seem like they should have killed enemies did not, but other than that it was a lot of fun. The shop mechanics to upgrade your character were very rewarding and I felt pretty powerful by the end of levels.
I like the upgrades and weapon choice in this game, it really brings a lot of player choice into the gameplay itself. Most of the rooms do feel a bit empty, which could be helped by them being a bit smaller.
I am a fan of the player choice provided in this game. The options for initial weapon and shop upgrades allow for the player to make their own decisions in building the player character. The levels, however were very large and bare, which made it easy to get lost when its hard to see anything besides the ground. The colliders for the walls were not all present, which had me accidentally going out of bounds often near the end when I had accidentally bought too much speed and it became difficult to control my player. Overall, fun game though!
I thought the game was very visually appealing and felt much different than the other games which are primarily 3D. The core gameplay systems worked without issue and I liked the art asset design, whoever made those. The level design left a lot to be desired. I never felt like there was a real goal and the feel of the combat was very static. On the topic of combat, it seemed entirely optional, I had one run the I just went pacifist for 90% of the run, because I can get in-game currency without even fighting. The enemies had different attack types, but much fewer sprites. As a final note, the levels felt to big and empty, perhaps make them smaller and add more features to the levels.
Very charming game. I like the replayability of it and the feel of the combat. I do think the rooms look a little empty and the enemy density is sparse if you keep moving around. The upgrades were also a nice touch and it seems that if you get fast enough you can phase through walls which I don't think is intended. One last thing is I think having the enemies have a damage animation would help the satisfaction of the combat.
Fun game! I enjoyed the randomized upgrades, it greatly enhanced the replayability. My main complaint was that the enviorment felt empty and could have used more decoration
This game was cool. I thought the sound effects were the coolest part, and were also definitely the thing this game did better than the others. I thought the visuals, while simple, were awesome! The different weaponry, each with different perks were a unique implementation and made the game worth playing multiple times just to see what the various weaponry did. I will say, the only thing I have against this game is that the player actually finds it to their benefit to dodge all the enemies. So making the enemies more dangerous or making their projectiles more lethal would give the player reason to defeat them. I did like the shops and the fact you had different enemies with different abilities. One more VERY small thing I noticed was that late in the game, there was an enemy who almost killed me because he was invisible and he was hitting me with bones. I tried so hard looking for him but couldn't find him. Maybe it was intentional, but I felt that if it were, there would have multiple enemies like that. Overall, definitely a fun game and definitely one of the best I have played!
Really good! The weapon upgrade system was definitely very complex. However, I felt as if there were too many open spaces and lack of enemy variety. Although the gameplay was general fun, it got easier because player could explore with no boundaries. There should be a level implementation that locks the player inside a specific area, in my opinion. But overall, this game is really solid.
I really really liked this game! The art style is cool and well done, gameplay is consistent and I enjoyed the bullet hell aspects. Upgrades were simple and at times unbalanced, as stacking movement speed upgrades for example could get pretty absurd, but I almost like that too. It was fun to play, well balanced, and a great game considering the timeline. There was one glitch where all of the elements in the room spun around me and disappeared, and the rooms felt too big at times without anything much to do in them. Overall, though, wonderful game.
