Very fun and addictive! Great level design and puzzles, that become more complex step by step, being very balanced and polished! Graphics and sounds are amazing too. Also, the time counter is a very cool detail. Excellent job!

Loved the atmosphere and characters in this game. I was amazed by the amount of polish that went into this project.

dang i just realized my review post isn't here... i must have not clicked "Post" with my full review yesterday. So sorry I don't have all of my notes fresh in mind from yesterday!

Very solid and SUPER polished. The music added so much from the prototype i playtested earlier! Art design is top notch, and the character writing was funny. Everything super well executed!!!

Level designs were also pretty interesting, varied, and satisfying to complete. I especially liked the secret solutions to some of the early levels with a hidden lever off-screen!

A few of them felt a bit auto-pilot though (didn't really require much aim or timing --  just spam the bombs and the clever rube goldberg level design plays itself)

The camera movements and long(ish) intro/outro animations started to feel like the game was pumping the brakes on me when i just wanted to GOGOGOGO and PLAY!!  Would be awesome if holding a button would Engine.time_scale = 2.0 (Or 4.0...) to speed things along. Skippable intro cutscenes/outros etc. Sometimes you wanna pump your fists in the air as the victory music plays, other times you wanna just go STRAIGHT into the next level without any pauses (there's kind of a delay in the timing of Generator Trigger -> light turns on ->  (long pause) -> Camera pans -> (pause) ->  Elena disappears -> camera pans -> (pause) -> Elena appears) | *disclaimer: 100% ADHD gamer note :P

Also unfortunate soft lock at the end cut things short. not sure what happened there!

Enjoyed every second of it! The game is very polished, and I love the colors. Rubber ducks were also fun to play with.

OMG, what a sound and animation in menu <3

Ive played 3 or 4 stages of levels, that was really a lot interesting gameplay mechanics. Nice work, really want to see codebase of it, to understand how to produce this masterpiece)

Wanted to say that its maybe  very oldschool to reset all progress after quitting, but i think it will be perfect save player progress to give possibility back to game after time.

Also, all the music is awesome! Bomb throwing feeling really smooth and nice. Thank you for great job!

That is the saddest part of game, i cried a lot...

This was really polished and really fun. I didn't expect it. Having 99 bombs was a nice touch, I could experiement with throwing bombs just to test out the game and still pass the level.

Really amazing job on this one! I liked the visuals a lot and the music and sounds were perfect. The gameplay felt super polished and precise. I was able to get my time down from 20 minutes to just over 14 on my second playthrough, and it was very satisfying to get perfect shots straight to the generator on some of the levels with the flippers and ducks. Overall, it was an amazing experience both times I played, and the dialogue between levels served as a good introduction to the mechanics, as well as giving the characters more depth. I did encounter a bug where if I tried to throw another bomb as the camera was coming back from a cutscene in another part of the level, I couldn't throw any more bombs as if I was still in the cutscene, and I had to restart. Other than that, this game was super fun and I really enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I’ll look into that camera controller bug. Keeping the camera and player states synchronized was a constant source of bugs during dev, and I think I’ve got a path forward for eliminating that class of bugs entirely, but it’ll take a few to get that update out.

This feels soooooo finished and well rounded. The intro conversations and character introductions caught me off guard, was totally not expecting this sort of patience delivering the game. Then the game keeps on going slowly giving you the pieces to understand its mechanics and variations. Super cool rhythm, super nice experience!

I was able to come back and add the actual star rating now that the submission period is over and the rating period has begun.   I got the hang of it this time around quite well.  Made it through the 1st set of levels and enjoyed the puzzle / arcade action.  Glad you start with a lot of bombs, it took some practice.

I know you probably saw my Alchemist submission many times (or at least the POSTs about it), so please try to give it a try and a rating.  It's HTML JavaScript only with no engine and I believe you'll appreciate the use of the previous winning assets as well as all the work obviously that I put into this one over the long month!  thanks for this jam, I really enjoyed this one -- first time creating an isometric view game for me, and the bomb was a great inspiration!

The graphics are really good and polished, loved them, I also liked a lot the puzzles and the ingenious ways to resolve them. I also got a bug in the level 3 of the stage 2 I think, where I couldnt throw bombs, Beside that one of the best I played in this jam nwn

Developer

Oh no! Do you remember the sequence of events that led to the player being unable to throw any bombs? There were some similar bugs that I squashed along the way, but I'm sure I missed a few, too. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!

Peak automation - we now have a robot that is mining and another one who is starting the miner with bomb
Very polished game. Fantastic level design. Really goes to show how much you can convey with how little and simple art style.

If this doesn't win, I'll eat my hat. (Wait, I like my hat--- I just mean, damn this is fine work.) My first perfect rating of the jam.

why is this so insanely polished. very nice work

Thanks for playing! I love to pour hours and hours into my games—they're just so much fun to make, and with each game I learn more ways to be a little faster for the next one so that I can spend time on the polish.

Everything about this game is smooooth. Truly well done. Also that ending caught me off guard lol

Submitted(+1)

The only problem was that the game ended! I really loved how new mechanics kept getting introduced, it felt very rich and full of content. I also really liked the art style and the sounds. Great job, congrats!

Actually amazing! I would give constructive criticism but I got nothing. You cooked me a gourmet meal, gave me milk and cookies and read me a bedtime story, Absolute cinema.
