This is incredible. It feels like a purified vampire survivors. Playing this cleanses my soul. I feel like this could be expanded, but I also think making it too long could potentially harm the experience.
Hail the snail.

I love the gameplay and numbers going up. Great gameplay. I was scared of the worm at the start until I figured out it's the shop. I don't know if it's by desing but after my first purchase to get more fruit, I got infinite water. I filled all the space with bushes and struggled a lot when I got trees and dragon fruit. But overall, it was a very nice experience. Gonna be back for sure !

Developer

Wowww we hadn't heard about that happening before, thanks for reporting it! Were you playing in the browser?

The worm is indeed scary, but it is the Maker of the Ground! It needs all those teeth and normal maps xD

Thanks for the feedback, we soon publishing an update!

Really pleasant incremental and lovely entry all around. The visuals! The audio! I don't normally play most jam games for as long as I did this one, but over an hour later I got the worm! If you're planning to continue working on this, I'd either bring in more mechanics or reduce some of the grind along the way—I had a lot of fun, but the grind got tiresome at points. Really well executed, y'all!

Love to see another incremental game, I had to keep playing until I was able to beat it :D

Couldn't figure out how to attach an image but I ended with a 1h 2m playtime to beat the game ^^

As some others have mentioned the progression could use some work, it got really slow and grindy at some points.

Loved the low poly 3d artstyle, and the art itself was really well made and looked super polished already.

Sound effects were decent but I really missed having some music to go along with it.

I also got some lag spikes once I had a large number of trees and fruits placed.

Overall this was a really fun experience, definitely my favorite in the jam so far. You definitely have a lot of potential here if you keep working on it ^^

pretty fun to play. Simple but various strategies are possible and if I play again would do it differently :)

On start gameplay feels slow and calmly, but after growing more seeds and upgradings, i founded how easy to claim fruits. Also the balance of upgrades feels really overpriced, because on gamejams all like to have fast experience. But i think its a phenomenon of games like this - slow and calm relaxing, and i got this experience.

When i started to use tree seeds that sound of birds brought feeling of life on map <3

Also found little exploit - when u shortly press 'Shift' to sprint it increases speed, but save ability to grow the seeds.

Thank you for done job, it was really interesting to play!

More fruits and water!

I really had fun playing this, the art is satisfying alongside the sounds. It feels very polished and sweet, my only complaint? The scaling is super difficult, maybe I was playing it wrong but after the first few upgrades it takes FOREVER to get the next upgrades, making it not feel rewarding and more taunting.

Seriously tho it's great and you guys did a good job.

You have definitely polished this one up since I first tried it, back when it was called the snail and the snake ? or worm I think.  Game play is smooth and intuitive.  Very nice 3D world and although I didn't go that far, I see from the screenshots that there are more areas/levels to explore that seem very nicely drawn/graphics, etc.  I agree - Art design was beautiful and clean - Is that worm supposed to be almost like the big worms from Dune ?  anyway, nice job.

Seriously impressive work! I also seriously lost track of time playing!! Great work all around the music, art, and game loop is all super polished and addictive! SUPER FUN

Also...helper snails?? Wizards found: 0??? I'm so intrigued but i didn't see any hints of them in my playthrough

Art design was beautiful and clean. Very clear UI and visual information all super readable. And rolling around felt GREAT - i think was the core of the fun. I found an advanced speedrun tech for early game grass-rolling :D (Hold Q and tap Shift repeatedly)

I have only more good things to say, with only minor critique on pacing; i had a flawless experience on the web build with no lag or bugs, only one tiny UI glitch:

The early game pacing was perfect, felt a good sense of progress and 'carrot on a stick' feeling of constsant upgrades to chase, but i think the mid-game big purchases could all be lowered by an order of magnitude and still feel quite satisfying/earned without feeling too grindy (100k->50k, 10k-5k etc) cus at the end it felt a tad bit grindy to get the worm egg -- not the final 100k itself, but the grind of getting the econ + apple upgrades to allow me to collect it. I think what i noticed was a change in the pacing mid-game where it just took quite a bit of time to reach my next goal compared to early game. But if i missed the whole 'helper snail' concept maybe that would have helped the pacing?

Also noticed tiny UI glitch when you get into triple digit x123 numbers on some upgrades, certain numbers (with larger width) got split into multi lines from auto-wordwrapping

Thank you for the fun experience playing! :)

Developer

Hey ecaroh, thats a bunch of great feedback and plenty of nice words, thanks for that!

Regarding the helper snails and wizards, they are coming! We were okay having it as a joke in the stats, but now that many players are asking about them, we totally have to hahaha

Thanks for the Art praise (that was my role, and it was pretty great having the time limitations of the jam to not loose myself in endless rabbit holes of details...) and shout to victor (design) and edd (programmer) for creating systems and gameplay time at this insane rate.

And noted about the pacing. Many players felt as well that the beginning was the slow thing, and it does seem like we will be ditching entirely the fruit storage upgrade to create more speed. Helper snails will totally also affect the economy progression, so lets see the next iteration.

Noted the numbers breaking, all in all thanks for the time and nice words! :)

Thanks a lot Lukenzo!

Pretty fun game, very satisfying filling up the barren land with green. Enjoyed the sound effects a lot, and that sprint button came in clutch!

great game with an original feel and look, i hope this does great in the jam, well done

Developer

Thanks a lot Max! It does seem like people went full in with the bomb as the central piece of their games, so I think we will appear as a bit weird in comparison, but maybe that will be good for some hahaha

i LOVED this game, maybe my favourite in the jam, spent like 1 hours here XD hope it gets a lot more of content because i see future here

Developer

Thats great to hear Ksois, our designer did a great job with the economy progression, its by far the most gameplay I  have ever created in such a tiny amount of time. And yes, more assets are taking a bit more time to get around, but they are definitely coming

I really liked the game, I’ve been playing it for a while and I’ll keep playing. I especially loved the way we can change and affect the world.
My only small negative comment would be about how well it fits the jam theme, but other than that you did a great job,  congrats!

Developer

Thanks! We have been updating it with a bunch of player comments and will keep updating during next week as well, so hopefully you'll see some new content we are preparing...

And I totally get about the theme, we looked for a jam that was pretty flexible precisely because we knew we had to test internal ideas, so we were probably always gonna go for something nature related, growing based...

Thanks for the kind words!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Agreed on the theme, initially we went for a tower defense concept where there would be enemies throwing bombs at the forest. Later we decided that an incremental game suits better the vibe we were going for, but then we found integrating the bombs a lot harder

Interesting concept! cool visual!

Developer

Thanks!

I though this was really good! The visuals and sound design were amazing. I loved how the map gradually felt smaller as I played through it and the dynamic ambient sounds were very impressive too. Great job!

Developer

Thats so nice to hear!

Yes, the map is quite limited in fact, but at the beginning there is almost nothing so it feels kinda big.

And sound design it was all programmer magic, thanks Edd!

This is VERY impressive for a jam game! The text is all a bit too small to easily read, so I didn't get too far (eye strain is real!). That may be my old man eyes, not your game though :) Great work. (Only bad rating is, it doesn't seem to fit the theme at all)

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

We will check those font sizes, we are preparing new store designs, and hopefully we can make it all more legible, thanks for the feedback!

And well, even if the alchemy and the bomb are there, we didn't make the game around those, it was mostly a way for us to explore ideas we were interested in. But they are there! 💣🐌

Truly a very nice project. I followed,. best wishes!
