How does the game fit the theme?
You are a top chef with a great restaurant, but you bump your head on a tree and forget all your recipes!

To get your memory back, you don't explore a normal kitchen or town. Instead, you go to a very strange place: inside your own mind! The whole game takes place in your weird, dreamy thoughts, where you have to run around and collect ingredients.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We made everything from scratch (cuz we are goated)

How many people worked on the game?

I dig the aesthetics as well as the gameplay. I do believe it has huge potential to be a sandbox/restaurant sim if you wish to go beyond just "finding recipes".

I like how you need to physically explore the environment to get ingredients. Would love to see rare ingredients being placed on difficult places that requires you to do platforming or other risky maneuver. Gameplay itself is intuitive and the controls make sense. However, there are little things that annoys me. Having to go through portals multiple times just to grab a 4 items each trip is a little tedious. A backpack would surely make the experience better. And you can add mechanism to it such as making it weigh you down if you put too many ingredients in them. But other than that it is quite enjoyable.

I would also suggest adding more content regarding what you can do with the food you make. Having a restaurant sim attached to it might make the expiration and experimentation more meaningful (like how Dave the Diver does it).

Gorgeous game, and I loved the music. I could not play as much as I wanted because the mouse sensitivity was wayyyy too high on my computer. Looks like there is a ton of content with how many unknown recipes I had left over

Really loved the aesthetic and the art style! Nice game!

Loved the art style and the overall vibe of the game! Cool idea :)

Thanks!!

What cool execution of a cool concept! Love the visuals and music. The movement was a little much sometimes so I would recommend adding a little friction to it, especially since we're playing POV, and it would be great if the size of the inventory could be increased since the back-and-forth between the ingredients island and the cooking island can get a tiny bit tedious. Nevertheless, solid game!

really cool visuals!

Very enjoable and calm game. Really like the visuals. Overall game is fine, but there are some things i dont get: why climbing is on LMB? it should be better if you climb without pressing it, because i nearly forgot about it mid game. Also you should add more combos like honey and apple is honeyed apple of something like that, I spent like 3-4 minutes only to got questionable stew like 10 times in a row trying to make culinary masterpiece. And I dont know if it's just me but game screen is only like a quarter of its actual size

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, we honestly didn't have much time to add more dishes but we will def add more in the future.
For climbing we went for a PEAK style.
The screen thing it is normal for me, if you could drop a screenshot so we can investigate

It's a cool idea, but there's not enough motivation to run around and open recipes. There needs to be some kind of game goal and it would be awesome.

Really ambitious visual design and also procedural generation? The Peak inspiration is clear, and pretty well implemented. I got bored relatively quickly because it seemed like just trial and error and I just kept making "questionable soups".

Submitted(+1)

Great game! The visuals are great and exploring the different worlds is so cool.

Visuals are very good. It's fun trying out recipes even though if at first you only get Questionable Soup.

Movement felt pretty good, maybe climbing trees is a little floaty but nothing too bad.

Developer

mmm i love my crystal and mushroom soup. thanks for your thoughts tehe <3

Congratulations. I enjoyed the game. It's very satisfying to search for the ingredients to make the dishes.

Glad you had fun :D

We are very happy you liked it!!

Overall, I liked the game! It was fun exploring the island looking for ingredients and filling out the recipe list. The movement and sensitivity did feel a bit fast, so I found it a bit rough just moving around the place, but I like the concept a lot.

Developer

settings coming soon! just found that the settings menu we had wasn’t really consistent with the design we ended up with last minute .-.

Nice, I don't know why but I felt a SlimeRancher Vibe

I liked the idea, the graphics were good, the sound is good, everything is good! The only thing I'd change is that I'd add a portal on the islands where the player first spawned, but overall, really good!

The visuals are really great and i loved them. The music is awesome.

Lovely environment, defenitly a strange place!

Developer

Thanks!

Really nice music and vibe! I enjoyed exploring the little world, the only thing that could have been more appealing in my opinion, were the instruction boards, there are quite a few of them and all are presented in almost the same shape and size.

We will look more into ui stuff after the jam thanks ;)

Submitted(+2)

Impressive visuals. I enjoyed exploring around and trying new recipes :)

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it ;)

The visuals look really nice! Exploration is fun, but the inventory feels a bit too small. I think I saw a carrot silhouette in the ingredients, but I never managed to find one. Still, great work overall!
