Love the visuals and vibe of this game! That save animation was a highlight for me!

Overall, the balance of the game felt really good, it wasn't exactly hard, but I did find myself needing to pick up those hearts to keep my little fish body going. I didn't find myself swapping between weapons once I got a new one.  Though I think it is nice to have the ability to do so for people who prefer to play a certain way.

Two pieces of feedback:

1. I wish there was some kind of map. I realise it's not a huge game, but man did I get lost at one point 😅. And because the enemies respawn each time you enter a room, just checking if I'm going the right way by moving through a couple of rooms wasn't exactly a walk in the park.

2. It would be nice if the boss had some kind of health indicator. I managed to sit in the bottom right corner for most the fight without taking much damage and using the spray gun to keep hitting it. But I wasn't sure how far through I was in the fight, so it felt risky just sitting somewhere rather than dipping out and getting the health that dropped. But at the same time, if it was nearly dead, I didn't want to risk leaving my position.

Great entry overall though!

The checkpoint animation is great, love the visuals.

This is one of the best indie platformers I've ever played. I like everything: the movement mechanics, the shooting, the enemies, the screen shifting. By the way, the screen shifting is really cool because I'm tired of camera movement in other games. Since computers got more powerful, this mechanic has become a rarity. But it does affect your focus. The game is beautifully polished. I'm amazed you two created such a masterpiece in such a short time.

Really strong game. The save animation is awesome and I liked the many small details like the grass moving where you step.

This is sick, the visuals and music/sound design are such a vibe. Pretty challenging, and lots of content. love it!

I had a blast playing the game. It has such good level design. And the feel is real. Love the amount of detail with the grass, and rocks that you need to stand on top of. Played super smooth and very addicting and challenging. Very polished.
Big fan, would love to play a longer version of this 😄

The game is good. I’m not a huge Metroidvania fan, but one thing that could be improved is that there are areas with rocks that I can’t advance on just by moving left and right; I have to jump, which I find annoying unless you can crawl underneath them and jump over.

Otherwise, it’s fine. If they want to make it feel better, they should make the camera shake; that would improve it.

This was a very pretty game! Nice work

Beautiful game! Very simple but effective,.

Only issues is that sometimes the enemies would be right where you walk in so you get instantly hit which is a little bit unfair, the artstyle though is quite readable even with the camouflaged enemies

check out peripheral!

This is extremely well polished! I love the gamepad support considering that I don't have the usual WASD keyboard <3

I really liked the art, the main character's design being my favorite overall haha.  The metroidvania aspect was awesome, it's rather difficult to get down but this one was fun. The movement was also pretty smooth.  My only nitpick is the damage, there's no grace period, so trying to deal with more vertical enemies with fast shooting was a bit painful, or maybe I just need to git gud. Overall very fun game

Amazing Game! I really liked how tight and polished the whole experience is. I can definitely see this being expanded to add more monsters or weapons.

This is a slam dunk! I am a sucker for Metroid style games, so I loved the heck out of this game. From the sprite work of the levels and the enemies designs I loved it all! The gameplay loop was fun and concise, and the options of different weapons helped break up what could have felt monotonous. An extremely minor nitpick of mine was the jump felt very barely too short but that didn't detract from the game in any major way. Def 5s across the board!

very cute platformer, it reminded me of that old game Contra. So many beautiful details, loved the save animation, the grass animation and the little fireflies. You should add more levels and weapons, i would definitely play it!
