Neat little physics mechanics for the game. I enjoy the visuals too. However, I would really have liked there to be a lot more feedback on player action like opening the door triggering a sfx, an animation, or some sort of indication which lever connects to which thing etc. In fact, a lot of elements in the game could use a lot of juice/feedback. For example, the "oxygen" bar, I didn't even realize it was a thing until the game resets the level for me a few times, which honestly feels kinda bad when it's deliberately janky like this.

Tbh, the game didn't feel rage-y/funny to me, yet it also didn't feel like a super solid, satisfying platformer either. It sits in a weird, uncanny valley territory. In other words, perhaps it just feels under-realized as a concept due to tie constraint of a game jam, or for some other reasons.

The project's bottleneck was the team synergy being a bit more on the troubling side.  I wouldn't necessarily say that the time in a vacuum was the root cause, but rather us fumbling under the pressure and not adapting properly to the given circumstances.

I can vouch for my team mates being extremely talented, though the politics are something we failed to properly establish in a timely manner.

Having done a number of team jams by now, I can really relate to the struggle you're describing. I found what worked for me in the past is to try and establish some sort of baseline communication days or weeks before the actual jam happens. It could be a struggle at first and most people may not be that responsive either (since they only sign up to engage during the jam period, not before), but I think persistence is key. I hope you learned some things you can apply in your next jam!

I love the visuals, they are stunning. I felt really bad kicking the fish xD.

It was fun to kick the fish around and I love the art. It was a bit hard to control at first but I got used to it after a while. Nice work!

Poor fish! The level of polish is insane, especially the art. Super fun game and very unique concept.

Very fun game! I shouted at my fish a lot, how dare they not move exactly where I want them to!

Art was fantastic, and the audio made it for a really fun time.

Great job!

Big fan of the character art! The tether mechanic was also well-implemented and as consistent as can be expected. Cool stuff!

The art is amazing. Very very good job. The game looks cute. Kicking fish is a very funny trick😁

Never knew I needed an excuse to dribble a fish. Hilarious premise of a game with cute fish and some fun level ideas! (Would have loved some kind of resolution/magical fish transformation upon completing all the levels, but great job with all the stuff y'all got in!)

Thank you!! Yess crazy fish transformation would have been very fun,  we wanted to add a lot more flavour like that but sadly didn't have the time T^T

The art is amazing, the levels look really cool but the character controls feel janky bacause of the traction of the fish.

Good game, I enjoyed it!

I never thought I'd enjoy kicking a fish this much XD. The art direction is great. Awesome game!

This is a very strange place for a fish to be. The graphics are stunning - I spent a lot of time just kicking walls for the fun of it. The physics are super janky, but its playable and fun.

Congratulations on the game! It's very fun and challenging. I think you could add background music to the levels to give the game even more charm. The art is wonderful. Congratulations!

Very fun short game! Well done!

First off, the preview/thumbnail image is  pretty sweet and overall the character design and animation are very well done!

I loved that you always had to kick the fish into its pot at the end.
Level 4 with the FishZip was really cool.

My only criticism (even though I know its a game jam):
I found the levels a bit too short/easy once you knew what to do

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! When working on designing the levels we were in quite a rush so in the future it would definitely be fun to expand the project with some more interesting and challenging level designs :)
