This game was so cool, I really enjoy it, it is a concept that I didn't know before, I loved that it forces you to process narrative instead of brainless clicking.

I love the narrative in this game, especially the different outcomes depending on what I dragged up the screen. The music is very relaxing to listen to and this is probably super important for a slow-paced narrative like this one.

One suggestion I will make is after I drag up an item above the screen, instead of having a timer to progress to the next part of the dialogue. Add a button/key prompt to go to the next dialogue so that I have more time to read the line. I'm a bit of a slow reader and I would have loved that implemented.

That's a really good suggestion - I did notice the text kept processing fairly quickly and made it hard to keep track of how the game was responding, but I think we ran out of time to make any significant changes at that point haha.

This game has a great potential, even though is short, it was really interesting. I liked how at first, Omen asks exactly what he wants, but then, he only tells about a problem, and we're free to choose what send to him. The art is pretty and the idea is really cool, congrats for your game!

Impressive, making all the combinations of scenarios and items in such a short time!

After the cutscene at the beginning of the game, the music cuts out a little abruptly. It could use a bit of fade out.

At first I had a little bit of trouble throwing the coins up because I would slide my mouse down to prep for tossing a coin up, which would move the cursor off of the sprite and stop dragging, but after I got used the game, it seemed fine.

The tooltip popup could use some boundaries to switch to the left of the cursor. It was hard to read for items on the right side of the bag. Though just moving the item to the left worked fine.

I liked the story scenarios and how many items there were. It must have been tough to think up things for so many of them and write them out, but it came out well.

Overall, it’s pretty fun trying things out and the limit of three moves things along nicely.

Fun concept, I had a good time trying to figure out what item would be best and tossing it up was a nice way to control that action (as opposed to just clicking, which I think would be a bit boring). Sometimes it got stuck to my cursor or to another object, but not too much of an issue, was pretty quick to resolve.

Nice job, team!

Very unique & innovative idea. Best part about it was playing again & again tossing different items for same situtation seeing different scenarios play out answering all your "what-ifs". One thing that bothered me a lot was the actual tossing mechanic where the object would stuck to the pointer instead of getting tossed all the way, not sure if it happened because I was using a trackpad & not a mouse

Developer

Yeah the click and drag is janky we’re going to patch after the jam hopefully though :)

Really cool game! Definitely could  be expanded to a  full  game!

This is a really cool game with an interesting gameplay mechanic and story. The atmosphere is great and I love the cute little cat.

Very cool and original concept, and it's very impressive that you wrote so much dialog to responde to various items that are thrown.

On the web build it was almost impossible for me to throw items. On windows it was much better, but still could be polished some - items felt either too heavy or too light, and I thrown items above by mistake a few times - it's seem like items you're not holding should be very heavy to avoid being thrown around by mistake, but if I sort of fling an item it should be thrown like a breeze

I beat the first scenario and it was cool. I'm not sure if the story is random - I can totally see this one being developed to a complete RPG gameplay system (maybe allow to throw several items? time limit? various directions doing different things?)

Developer

Hiya! Yeah we found the tossing mechanic was bugged before submission on the web build and didn’t have time to fix it. We think we know how to sort it though so we’ll patch it after the jam. :) Thanks for your feedback

Super interesting concept and great execution. Loved getting the fire staff then solving all my problems by blowing stuff up.
Nice game!

Hi

Iam a long-time Dungeon Master and i loved this concept.

I liked how i felt i was helping my party as they adventured.

The story beats were simple, easy grasp but vivid enough to keep interest up.

This was so very interesting. Iiked the items as well. To get loot is a great thing.

I could see so many scenarios, visual novel type story, different bioms even some mixing and creating by the cat as the player progreses.

I very much liked this. Who knows, next time I give a bag of holding to someone, there might be fistfull of white hair in there =)

Very well done, thank you.

Here is our game for your entertainment.

Wow, that was something I have seen interesting interpretation of the theme, but this takes the cake. A slight problem with the game is that it is difficult to throw objects upto the ceiling + with enough items in the bag, you could easily throw an unintended item into the celling

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, unfortunately our web build has some issues with picking up, throwing, and managing items - sadly that’s 90% of the game so it’s messed us up a bit and we couldn’t get a proper fix in the 48 hour window haha. Appreciate the feedback!

This is a truly strange place! The design is so clever and the game is fantastic. The vivid narrative is definitely a highlight of this game. Well done!

I love the idea of a helpful cat managing a not-a-bag-of-holding! I was really surprised by the number of encounters and items. It was fun trying a couple of different items and seeing what worked and what didn't, as well. If you revisit this I think it's worth paying some attention to the light area; it's a little fiddly, and I had to  throw some things three or four times before Omen would accept them.

I had so much fun as bag manager cat and would definitely play this again if you decide to keep working on it. Congratulations on a great jam!

Cool concept! Some of the items felt a bit hard to grab (grappling hook) but other than that interesting concept! Would be a cool choose your adventure type game with different outcomes based on what it thrown out.

Love the concept, this is really good! Great potential for a bigger game! Only criticism is I want to be an evil cat, but its really fun!
