A very relaxing puzzle game! It's mindblowing that you were able to make your own engine. Solid gameplay, too.
i like this! very relaxing and cozy. not too difficult, and fun to figure out what works and what doesn't. nice work.
Love the aesthetic! The gameplay wasn't for me but I'm definitely going to check out your other games, and your engine.
Cool thing you did it in your own engine! I would like to try it if I ever had time to learn it to make something truly retro.
Interesting puzzle that used the theme and subtheme very well. I liked the music and sound effects as they completed the game greatly. The artwork is also very lovely and cozy. Maybe it would be interesting to have the game be a sort of memory exercise in reflection. You could set it so that the player has specific triggers to view how the "sculpture" looks like. Example:
Another approach is maybe to have the play area be already full of snow and then the player just removes those that are extra at least for more populated scenarios.
Wanted to provide some next steps in case you want to continue building this :) . Congrats on building your game and Wishing you a cozy winter as well!
A pretty good puzzle game with atmospheric music. It would be nice if new mechanics were gradually added while passing levels, like falling blocks.
I like the art and music but the gameplay just feels like busy work. it's only like 5% being engaged with the gimmick of the patterns have to be mirrored which is fun, but then 95% just placing blocks and destroying them which takes so long. I would prefer a way to hold a button down and mass delete or add blocks because it feels like I'm doing so much for so little to the point I feel like a mindless zombie. still I like the game and art and I respect you made it with your own engine
Loved it! Amazing game and overall work considering you used your own engine!
Well done, consider working more on the game, it is lovely!
I love the puzzles — definitely cozy! It was a fun and relaxing experience. It would be cool if you continued working on this after the game jam. Good job!
First: huge props for using your own engine. Besides that, I totally love this game. From presentation, through the music and sound to the gameplay. Very relaxing but also enjoyable. If I were to complain about something it would be the fact that so many puzzles are symmetrical (but I get that with jam this short you may not have time to make more puzzles.)
thank you I played all the levels, it was fun!
Really enjoyed the mood and the pixel art on this one in particular. The puzzles might be a bit basic, but I could see the developers expanding on this. Nicely done.
Really neat game! I love the pixel art and the overall vibe! Reminds me of Original Arcade Games!
Really cool game, one of my favorites for sure!
I really like the asthetics, the sounds and music is fitting and the art is goregous!
I love games that require effort. This game took a long time, but it was very fun. I really liked it. The style, the environments, and the design of the tools were also very good. In short, it was fun. I would appreciate it if you took a look at our game too :3
Thank you for trying out my game, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
:DI’ll make sure to check out your game too
Don't worry, I really enjoyed it :D
I'm always a sucker for games made with a custom engine, this one is pretty cool and fits the theme well.
I think the one major gameplay change that could be made is limiting the # of times you can delete blocks per level, and building puzzles around that.
Thanks for trying out my game
:DThat could definitely make the puzzles more intentional, I’ll keep that idea in mind for the future
Really nailed the cozy winter vibes here, I just wish the puzzle game element was a little more of an actual puzzle/game. As soon as level 2 it turns into fill the spaces and then delete a few. I feel you had a really cool idea but couldn't quite get it how you wanted. It's absolutely a vibe and with an improved gameplay loop it could be something very cool.
Thanks for trying out my game
:DYeah, I can agree that refining the gameplay loop is definitely something I’d like to explore further
I’m just glad that the core idea came through, it gives me a solid base to build on
The graphics are excellent, but I personally felt the immersion wasn't quite right. Despite the background music, sounds, and so on, your game deserves respect. And developing your own engine... that's serious business.
Thanks for trying out my game
:DThat’s definitely something I’d like to explore some time in the future, immersion can be tricky to get just right
Pixel art looks great, fits game well!
Thank you
:DVery impressive stuff!
Thank you
:D
