Beautiful atmospheric game! A cool idea with switching between two worlds:) I enjoyed both the art and the music!
As a suggestion, the jump movement needs a bit of polishing, but otherwise the controls feel good:)
Thank you for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. We are fine-tuning the game's polish to make it even better, but thank you for your feedback.
Your game is also very beautiful and delicate in its portrayal of childhood trauma. I found the way your story led to this in a playful and understated way very beautiful. Very delicate. Congratulations.
Thanks you! I'm very pleased you liked our game:)
Beautiful, environment, music and sound effects. I would pay for this game if it was longer and with a deeper storytelling and wider variety of characters and scenarios. Btw, wonderful sound effects for the worlds switch!!! :D
A really cute game! I had lot of fun just switching between worlds that was really satisfying to do. Massive kudos to the team for doing different sprites and different music for the two worlds, you all did amazing!
My only small nitpick would be that the jump felt a little floaty and hard to time correctly but it didn't stop me from finishing the game and having fun while doing so!
The artwork and music of the game is nice. The game is short and concise, and I enjoyed my time with it which I did finish to the end, though I think the jump feels a bit off and it's quite easy to slip off objects pretty easily near the edges sometimes (maybe a collider issue)
Also drawing sprites for both dimensions would take almost double the effort, so kudos to the artist :D
That's great that you enjoyed the game. Everyone on the team dedicated a lot of effort and care to deliver their best and create something beautiful. We are addressing these polishing issues to make the game even better. Thank you for your feedback.
I really enjoyed your Indian game. You mentioned that one of the team members is Indian, so congratulations on bringing such a rich culture into the game's universe. There's so much you can do using Indian mythology as inspiration. The Mahabharata, for example.😆
I really enjoyed the vibe on this game! I think the music was the most standout (and I liked the being in the alternate world with the music and colors the best). The controls felt a bit off to me - the changing direction in mid air happened too fast for my taste, and I kept barely clipping the corner of a platform while jump up, which would launch the cat into another jump.
Loved the atmosphere of the 2 different worlds, really beautiful! I really enjoyed this game, although I did struggle in the pit for a while XD
I really enjoyed this game :^) the pit was really difficult
What a beautiful game!
Very cool platformer, enjoyed the switching of worlds. I thought the character controller was a bit floaty. Other than that it was an amazing game
I really enjoyed the game and the concept was great. I loved everything about it.
very good, i liked the weight on the fall alot. amazing atmosphere, everything contributes to it, very immersive too and pretty cool mechanic.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked the game. We worked hard to deliver the best in such a short time.
Your game is also very cool, a very different idea and a unique mechanic of balancing boxes while moving. I think it's the first time I've seen it. Congratulations on your work.
Gorgeous pixel art, cudos to whomever created that! The game feels very polished for a week of work so great job! I really enjoyed the platforming puzzles where you had to switch worlds mid jump and such. As somebody else noted, the jumping felt a bit off, I think it was because you could move a lot to the sides in the air which made it hard to be precise with the landings.
Great job though and good luck in the game jam! :)
Thank you for playing the game, and we're glad you enjoyed it. We put a lot of care into making it as beautiful as possible. We are correcting the movement issues to improve the game experience. Thank you for your feedback.
Your game is also very cool, with creative and engaging mechanics. You can spend hours playing it. Congratulations.
The pixel art is beautiful and the concept is interesting. I feel like the jump is a bit clanky sometimes. Otherwise it's really great !
Thank you for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. We made the game with a lot of care to deliver something beautiful. We are adjusting the game's polish to resolve the movement issues you mentioned, but thank you for your feedback.
Your game is very good. Really good. It reminds me of ActRaiser and Civilization. It has beautiful art and pleasant music. You can spend hours playing it. Congratulations!
I've played a bunch of world switching games in this jam but this is by far my favorite. The platforming is fun and the puzzles are really cool. Honestly the only thing I would add would be coyote time, as I found that some times even though it looked like I was on the platform, it wouldn't let me jump. Amazing game though!
Thank you for the compliment, really. We'll adjust the movement to make the game even better. I'm glad you liked it.
Your game is very funny, starting with the title, haha🤣. Congratulations on your work too!
The visuals of this game are really great! I love the world switching mechanic! It's a really interesting concept that I would love to see applied more in the future!
I ran into an issue where I fell down in the pit with those broken-down cars. I kept failing the jump on top of the wooden platform when I got back onto the boulder, and after some presses, the world changing mechanic stopped working.
Other than that, great game!
Thank you for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Thank you for reporting the bug, as we didn't detect it, but it's already on our list to fix.
Your game is also very cool and intriguing. I see potential in it to become a good horror game, since it leaves you wanting more. Congratulations.
Great game! The world switching is implemented really well.
I found it hard to tell that the boulders were something you could jump on, so I got stuck in the deep hole with the moving platforms for a while not realising you were meant to jump onto it (or world switch to the top of it).
I'm not a fan of platformers so almost gave up right before the end on the hard jumps (I didn't figure out you had to world switch between each one, I thought you had to use the box to jump up and world switch while colliding with a platform).
One more polish tip, during the credits you can still run around underneath the credit screen (I could hear the world switch when pushing Q and see some flickering behind the black box). You should turn off the character controller or set game speed to zero to pause the game.
Overall great work!
As the guy who put the ending together super last minute, yeah. I forgot to lock movement. But as soon as I saw that bottom corner flicker behind the black screen, I decided to not fix it as a bug. That fade to black image is a giant picture of a monkey that I turned black, so I left it as almost an Easter egg 😉
The hacky way is often the best way! I once had to make a big black square with a tiny transparent hole, and then scale it up 100x the size of my canvas to make a circle fade in and out between scenes.
I loved the art audio and the gameplay, it fits perfectly the theme and this much work in one week is amazing!!
Thank you for playing and for enjoying it. It truly took a lot of work, and we spent hours and hours and a lot of energy to deliver something beautiful in this game. It was made with a lot of care, you can be sure of that.
Your game is really cool too. You have to pay attention to the data to choose the correct planet. It proves that you don't need monsters and shooting to make an interesting and immersive game.
great visuals and great atmosphere!
please let me use W to jump, I keep falling into pits because I press the wrong button
Thank you for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed it. We'll work on fixing the movement issues. Thank you for your feedback.
Your game is also amazing. Immersive, narrative, with well-applied voice-over. Congratulations!
Great game, enjoyed playing it till the end. Cool art and atmosphere. The jam theme feels strong. The difficulty progresses smoothly and never gets too high, and this is important for a jam game as it allows you to enjoy it fully. Well done!
Thank you for playing and enjoying the game. We put a lot of care into it, striving to do our best in that short 7-day period.
Your game is also very cool, very immersive, with a great atmosphere, beautiful art, and nice music. You should consider continuing to work on this game to make it bigger and more complete.
Thank you for your kind words! We are going to add more content and juice to our game. The process of making it was quite inspiring and gave birth a lot of ideas in our hearts.
Great game! Everything is on point — the gameplay, the mechanics, and the art style.
I would just remove the transparent fullscreen button on the page because it doesn’t actually make the game fully fullscreen. I’d keep the blue Unity one instead, since it works correctly.
I think that's a feature of your browser or Itch.io. All Unity games seem to have it (mine too, and I didn't put it there!). If anyone knows how to override it then let me know.
You have to do it in build settings sadly we uploaded with like 30 mins to spare and it took 30 minutes to export so we just kinda said its alr.
