I think the last two levels were going somewhere interesting with the whole strange places theme, so I was a bit sad to see the game ended right after that. Gameplay-wise, the point and click was a bit bland, but it was still an enjoyable experience, I think the graphics and lighting were pretty good. It seemed like you wanted to have more of a story line with the second to last level but again it didn't feel like it really went anywhere, I'm not sure if this was a late addition or not, but I think it would've made more sense to start off with the plotline right away. Keep it up :)

Nice work, wasn't fully what I was expecting when I read point and click but it was interesting to include some combat.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! Yeah, it was definitely A DECISION to put a little bit of combat in the game ahahahhaahahaha but we’re glad it doesn’t feel heavy or shoehorned-in (at least based on the commentaries we’ve received).

It's fun because it includes a variety of games using clicks. I was able to clear it successfully!! Nice work:)

Really interesting and fun click through adventure! Having the credits handled the way you did was a nice touch and kept the immersion intact. I liked the art style and the theme was on point. Great job!

This has a lot of potential for more fun chambers. Nice work on the visuals too!

I like the camera movement in the main menu as I actually did something similar like this in my previous game jams as that makes the main menu more interactive and doesnt feel like static UI. This game does really fit in the theme with lots of  strange places and strange creatures hunting down on you. Somehow at the later chambers it became a reaction time / aim training game lol xD. Overall, nice work and good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game! And yeah, that interaction at the beginning was Kaito’s idea, so kudos to him! We’re big fans of dynamic menus!

Nice, short and easy to play game. As a point-and-click game I actually quite enjoy the fact that the game is constantly kept going. A lot of adventure/point-n-click style games, especially in game jams, tend to drag on, but this one didn't, so well done!

It must not have been that easy to come up with all kind of puzzles in such a short time, and I enjoyed some more than the others.

Personally I think it would have been nicer to use all 3D models, or with somewhat more coherent arts, but that's a small nitpick.

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, we’re often torn with using full 3D or using some 2D sprites sprinkled around. It’s just that I recently played Lunacid and wanted to experiment with some 2D sprites for the background laying around.

For the frog and the fruits, we went with 2D assets due to time constraints and to help them really stand-out as puzzle elements, as we wanted to make this game as accessible as possible so everybody got to see the ending!

Thank you for playing our game!

I really like the visuals! It reminds me a bit of 64-era zelda games. There was a good amount of variety, but I was easily able to figure out what I was supposed to do. Really well executed!!

Thank you for playing our game! I’m glad you had an easy time going through the puzzles and that you enjoyed our jam entry!

Nice simple puzzle game, I like the unsettling and liminal feeling. The visual range is great, the frog is perfect.
I also like the horror references at the end.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! The horror elements at the end are a reference to another one of our jam games: Trapped in the Biscuit Bunker!

Kaito did most of that section, so kudos to him!

Not bad! The visuals were a little odd (seeing the next place before you transitioned to it was a bit weird). Not a bad game though, I liked the environment and the puzzles were interesting, but there wasn't really much challenge to it. A couple of them I beat accidentally haha, but that doesn't mean I didn't like them. Nice job :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying out our game! Well, about you being able to “see” the next area: we had to make cuts due to time constraints hahhaahha that wasn’t supposed to happen originally, but we ran out of time.

And about the puzzle challenge yeah, if you ask Kaito he’ll agree with you that they’re just too easy! But, BUT, I had to make them easy so that everybody had a shot at seeing the ending!

Thank you for playing!

hey no worries man, it was still great either way! If you ever need any music, hmu! (check my submission for an example of my work :D)

I would love to try it, but unfortunately I don’t have a Windows machine handy :(

Do you think you could add a Web build to your game page? That would allow more people to give it a shot even if it has unexpected bugs.

ah, thats unfortunate! i also haven't done any of the programming for it so its not really up to me. maybe at some point in the future!

Very well made! I thought the puzzles were the perfect level of difficult. I had to think a little bit and then I was able to figure them out. Very strange atmosphere! The 2D art in a 3D space is always cool. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!! We love 2D art in 3D spaces! Ww were afraid that people would hate the puzzles, I am glad that you enjoyed them :D

Very enjoyable game. I played through it and liked the little puzzles, although they were a little too random for my taste. I reallyenjoyed the last part where you suddenly find yourself in an office with people cheering you, and I would've pushed a little more on that weird side. Like, "why there's an office in a tower?". That is a really cool idea.

Hey! Thank you for taking the time to play and review our game!

Originally our intention was that, as you ascend the tower, the floors “don’t make sense” (why would there be a forest in the second floor of a tower?) but as you can see, time got the best of us and we had to back off from our original intention.

The same thing applies to puzzles: we originally envisioned them working more organically with the theme of the floor you were in, but ultimately ended up inspiring ourselves more from flash games like “99 rooms” instead of carrying on with the original complex-puzzle approach from others like Submachine.

We’re super glad you enjoyed it!

Nice visuals and camera movement, difficulty of puzzles is just right for a short game, and I really liked the ending, literally laughed out loud!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for taking the time to play and review our game! Yeah, we really wanted to do puzzles that were “just right” and that didn’t feel frustrating. I’m glad you enjoyed the ending! It was Kaito’s idea hahahahah

Congratulations for a simple idea with some clever little puzzles in a streamlined presentation.
