This was a really great and immersive experience!

The gameplay was original and fun, not too easy and not too hard, really enjoyed it (on the later sections it was much more challenging, but very fair in my opinion).  And the graphics and sound contribute in immersing you in the stressful setting perfectly! I also love the old-style graphics, as they are consistent and contribute to the feeling of unease, like replaying an old game who scared you in your childhood.

And I loved the ending.

The scenes outside the train windows were very cool, the pouring drink mechanic was funny, and the narrative was cool! Good job!

I love how silly pouring drinks is :3 I feel like this would transform really well into like a vr game lowk. Narratively, it feels like the character is like somehow mourning the loss of themselves through a soulless job or something and then gameplays like "mario party drink pour ha ha funny" :sob: crazy dissonance, good work!

Incredible narrative setup with that loop which translate super well the intention. Congrats really !
We have a kind of similar approach but in 2D, feel free to test our game ! :)

What the hell did I just play?

The retro style visuals are incredible, and the narrative and cinematics are really well done. Super cool experience.

absolutely loved this. I had to look to see what the control was for continuing dialogue. itd be a nice add in to have that right on the screen when you enter dialogue. was laughing out loud trying to pour my drinks as they all slowly tipped over and spilled out. LOVED this. fantastic work

Truly, these are the gems you only get from jams like this. Your idea was lovely. Put a smile on my face when I poured my first cup and got half of it on the floor like momma. Your execution was fantastic. The mood, the vibe, the cinematic framing. Very well done. I enjoyed this short and sweet experience immensely.

I really enjoyed the pairing of the goofy hand mechanics and the cinematic story and camera angles.  I had a great experience, congrats on the game!

What a cute little game, I was expecting something horror like but I was surprised. The story of the characters are really cute.

Gameplay wise I wise there where a little bit more variety in how the pour mechanic is used, but I get that this is not the main focus of the game.

Really great job, very cool and short expierence :)

thanks so much! Yeah were planning on developing it further, and added in more elaborate and complex pouring mechanism later on. Unfortunately for this game the time constraint had us cut some ideas out

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, I feel you :D but I think that is normal for a game jam that many ideas get cut in the end because of time limitation :)

This game was hilarious. I had a lot of fun pouring the drinks. At one point my cup was upside down and it was really funny pouring it. I also liked the little stories every now and then and the cinematics was really nice. Nice work!

So good, great job visually, with the gameplay and the history

The little passenger stories after serving the drinks are such icing on the cake. The graphics, controls, and sound are all fantastic. Great job!

Loved the game, its retro feel, the camera angles, and the QWOP like controls. Its short and sweet, and I enjoyed the story that came with it!

Developer(+1)

haha yes!! When we made this, I really wanted it to feel like QWOP

Very nice work of using a simple mechanic to tell a very emotional story! Good work :)

Fun game! I pour juice all over. The drinks were satisfying to pour

This was such an amazing game! It was short and sweet. The visuals were amazing and I loved the style of it. It was interesting learning about the characters, and I really liked the ending. The game was also very polished. Also, the train sounds were strangely calming... Great job!

This is a great game and I am really impressed with what you've all built. The narratives and camera and scene set up was fantastic and I think some of the best I've seen in a game for a long time. Honestly. The shot with the legs swinging back and forth from under the seat was inspired.

Sure the pouring was janky at times (and it was supposed to be to jar with the slower narrative and stories) but the feeling of pushing the cart through the train and again I have to reference your camera switching and scene setting. Oscar worth directing here... :p

You mentioned that you built everything from scratch. Kudos guys, seriously - kudos.

thanks for your absolutely wonderful comment, it means a lot to us ♥️

Very impressed with this game. Really well done, and spot on the theme as well. That you made everything from scratch is equally impressive. So glad you commented on ours so I could find this gem. Thank you.
