How does the game fit the theme?
The greenhouse starts out cozy and heartwarming, but in a David Lynch–ish fashion, grows progressively stranger and darker as the game unfolds. Is the greenhouse even real?
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was prepared for the game jam, except for music & sfx that we borrowed from a previous game.
How many people worked on the game?2

Full game.
hopefully some time this year we'll publish it:)
Beautifully melancholy game! The watercolor art style fits really well with the story and adds to the emotions of the atmosphere. I really enjoyed sorting the flowers/leaves. I would sit all day and play a game that was sorting different items of nature. Also, yes, of course, I would love a full game.
thank you so much for such lovely feedback!:) I'm really pleased to hear that!:)
it's still a long way, but hopefully some time this year we will release the full game:) at the moment we are thinking of publishing extended version of the jam game soon after the jam is over:)
This was beautiful in every sense of the word. Glad to see you guys are looking to release this as a full game! Wishing you all great success :))
thank you so much:) It's still long way, but hopefully some time this year we will release it:)
I love the art style sm !
thank you:)
Full game? YES.
Yes please!!
Ah thanks! We are planning to release it sometime this year:)
nice! I would buy that :)
I really enjoyed it, it made me a little bit sad though.
Yes. Kinda "good sad" I hope :) It makes us a bit sad too, and the bigger story I'm working on for the full game is a lot sadder, lol. Sorry! 🙈
Beautiful game. Glad to see you are making games again.
Thank you:) Yes, it was very long break from game dev - but now I'm very determined to finally make a full game:)
Omg I love this, my heart hurts a little 😭
Aww, that's a beutiful description. Sorry, uhm, and you're welcome, and thank you! :D
Great game, absolutely nailed the theme!
thank you so much!:) I'm happy you enjoyed the game:)
I was very hooked on this game! I love the art and the ambiance, amazing!
Thank you! So happy it resonates with people.
The art style is really really nice
I like the puzzles but I wish the drop was more flexible so you can be a bit more further away and it would still click into place
what might also be nice if I can connect pieces of the puzzle that aren't connected to the main puzzle yet
this helps fit pieces that fit together and declutter a bit
But its such a nice game and the narrative is really good.
Good job!
Thank you! Yes, I think we both agree on this. Time constraints and all that. Hopefully, we can expand and polish this version a bit and release a new one in not too long.
I liked your game too, btw! :)
What a beautiful & soothing experience, and definitely amazing artwork! loved that so many puzzles used the same drag & drop mechanic, keep things simple -> infact it made the 3rd puzzle easy I could just drag & drop the leaves to understand which one fits where 😜 The attention to details was great too, loved that clicking everything had a meaning to it. Awesome work!!
PS: The artwork + game name did me some deja vu, and then after digging I realized I had also played & reviewed "Trust the blackbird" 5 years ago back in 2021.1 jam. Love the consistency you have over the years. My title this year on the other hand is completely different from what I had made back then 🤣
Thanks for the feedback - yes, indeed we made it a bit simpler with 3rd puzzle - in case somebody gets stuck he can just try to drag and drop random letters and find their correct positions. Maybe we'll make it more difficult after the jam end
Ah so great to hear that you remember the game from my very first game jam!:) Five years ago I made that game, and three more shortly afterwards, you can try them too:) And after long break from game dev with this jam I'm finally back:) The goal is to finally make a full game out of the Blackbird series:)
Will try those as well after this jam period, looking forward to the full release too :D
Fantastic game! I love the visuals and slow reveal of the story. It was really well done and an impressive game to complete in a week. Great job, I wanted more!
Thanks so much for playing - and congratulation with finished the game:) if you would click on the moon on this final screen you could open the bonus scene:)
There are 4 more games about the same characters that I made about five years ago - you can try them, they are much more cheerful than this one:) And we are also thinking of making a full game - hopefully some time this year:)
Amazing Art, Lovely gameplay, great audio and music. But man, the story hits hard.
Thanks for this.
Thank you! I was kind of hoping it would. Ana was a bit worried it was too sad, as well. I have no such boundaries 🙈
Bro wtf, that scared me a bit, but I really liked it, great game!
Eeep, not too much I hope :P What scared you? (Since the story is somewhat open to interpretation)
This was so cool! I loved playing it, I showed this game to a friend of mine that would definitely love it!
Very pleased to hear that:) Let us know what your friend thinks of the game:)
I was looking for other people who made original art for their games and yours is truly amazing! It immediately caught my eye and then the game was so interesting to play. So cool that you started with a cozy puzzle out of pressed flowers, one of my favorite things, and then ended it in such a dark way! Very unexpected plot twist :)
Thank you so much:) Original hand-drawn art takes a lot of time, but I think it's worth the effort:)
This is just gorgeous! Didnt finish the whole thing, but I'm hooked and saved to go back to it later :)
Thanks for playing:) Let us know what you think when you finish the game:)
This one really stuck with me. The watercolor art style is beautiful and the slow reveal through the puzzles makes the story hit harder than I expected. It feels calm on the surface, but there is something deeper going on that kept me thinking about it even after I finished.
Hi! What a pretty art style and overall great experience. The story was intriguing and pushed me to keep playing. The only part I struggled on was the second puzzle, the flower pieces weren't snapping as easily as some of the others. I would love to see this expanded!
