Very fun. The game looks beautiful and hitting the balls everywhere is so satisfying!

The visuals and the atmosphere are just awesome. You did really good work with the shader. The game is really juicy with lightning and smooth animations. The fighting felt really satisfying
The sound was really nice : music fits the atmosphere, and SFX sounds good (I don't know if it's a mistake, but the Cloud Dash plays a different sound if it's used with the Spacebar.
Hitting the lightning ball was really fun !
The only problem in my opinion : there isn't a real goal. The game can be endless, but adding some health and damage is the only improvement I can imagine for your game.
Amazing work !
This game feels so good, is so fun. It lacks polish some things in the gameplay and stuff but feels nice, great game.
Very satisfying combat. I enjoyed the first minute of this so much, I felt unbeatable. Kept playing, still unbeatable, oh. The game looks and feels incredibly good, it got me addicted for a while, the lightning ball is my favorite.
The attack is really satisfying and totally fun playing baseball with the orb. It’s a bit weird with no real objective I thought, I’ve left it running while I type this and just racking up points. I think some kind of fail or win state, something to give the player more reason to engage. Cool stuff anyway!
This is by far my fav jam game it has such nice visuals and the atmosphere is amazing as well. Though weirdly I had trouble starting the game up it was freezing on the ttle screen when I press enter and onopera it was playable but kinda laggy. Overall ı liked this game very much though I would've preffered our main character taking damage and stuff
it's everything I've ever wanted but I would've preferred if I could take damage
Very nice! The game feels very polished and is quite addicting X) The lightning ball kinda reminded me of Wand Wars.
Great game, It feels really juicy, with incredible visuals and a fun attack. I only missed having some kind of objective or losing health against enemies. Great work, the game feels incredible!
With no damage and all the nice animations, sound effects and juicy game feel it's almost a chill relaxing experience watching the number go up. I liked the visuals with the dithering shader too.
i'm glad it was chill and relaxing! That's how it felt while I was playtesting during development... so... since I was running out of time and couldn't implement the boss fight in time, I just decided to leave it chill and relaxing for now. I definitely want to add some actual gameplay challenge to the prototype next with the minotaur as a boss and enemies that actually hurt
Glad you liked the visuals! thanks for playing
Look at that beautiful game... I'm invinsible hahahaha. I would just suggest an audio improvement and adjusts in the UI interaction, I guess upgrading while attacking is kinda difficult... Awesome game btw.
Yeah I realized afterwards you attack every time you click levelup. I really would love to make shopping/buying a separate phase with rounds of enemy waves or something... do you like having timers and rounds or leveling up at your own pace? Sometimes it's fun to save up points and spend them all at once?
Very cool game. I love me some dithering. The only downpoint for me is that I thought I was doing so well only to find out that nothing was hurting me. Otherwise very engaging game and I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Would like to see more with potentially some damage / stakes.
no you're just a god of i-frame dodging :D
sorry for the disappointment though, it was unfortunately just something I didn't have time to implement properly, so I opted for letting the juice flow without damage. But health and damage is definitely the first thing on my TO-DO list for expanding.
And then there's the broader question of stakes / game objectives....
So just curious, what kind of stakes would you find fun to go from here?
I've been thinking of making it similar to dome keeper's vibe where you have phases of exploration vs. defending the home base, but i could also see it being a full tower defense (defend the well), or full vampire survivors-esque (focus on character's HP only)
Very cool looking game, liked the spritesm shadows etc! Especially small enemies sprite, love it!
