I love the game! The gameplay is super fun, and I find myself coming back all the time to play it.

How does your game fit the theme?
The game takes the concept of one of the first game ever published and turns it upside down, i think that fits inside the theme of outside the box, pun intended

I love this game😀 It’s such a nice idea to take the classic ping-pong concept and turn it opposite so you control the ball instead. The glow effect is a really nice extra touch.😁
I enjoyed this a ton! Only real notes I have, I wish the balls movement wasn’t so rigid, maybe instead of it being where you move vertically with W and S/Up and Down arrows back and forth, maybe have it so it changes the angle you’re moving at, or have it so when you land on the paddle, you have to aim in the direction you want to go with your mouse? Second, Doesn’t really feel like a lot of progression is happening, which is fine if you’re aiming for that old school arcade style kind of game, but regardless, it’d be cool if like you could “level up” or something similar to increase the difficulty a little more significantly a little faster, and also have some kind of milestone? Third is I wish there was a way to go back to the main menu after finishing a game, or even able to pause at some point. Other then that I enjoyed the concept and I feel there’s a lot of potential here!! Good luck to your game development journey!
thanks a lot for the review, i tried to implement the angled movement but i couldnt do it within the time limit so i stuck to straight, ill definitely try and implement that and as for the difficulty trust me bro i already tried making the game more difficult to the point of it being hated by my non gamer friends just cause of the difficulty,
Concept of pong but you control the ball is really cool. For a first jam submission it looks pretty and I liked it over all. The game itself isn't too long, and will get repetitive at some point after playing a while, same for the music. Would be nice if the paddles actively tried to avoid the ball at some point. Though technically the pitch isn't valid, since it was specifically supposed to be a youtube short, and you are supposed to hype your game up not just talk about yourself. Anyways overall a cool game!
i remembered the video type after i recorded and i was kinda busy with my exams so i had less time, for the talking about myself part - i really didnt wanna give away anything about the game, ik its not technically valid but i would like if i was judged on the game itself not the pitch, thanks for the review btw, helps a lot.

Yooooooo! I love this. First, this music is a jam and I was vibing. Second, it was breaking my brain since we are so used the standard way, and it felt nice to "re-train" a muscle, if you will.
My only critiques would be:
- You can just start the game by doing nothing for a while and the ball can just bounce back and forth for a while. You could possibly start the ball at an angle to fix this?
-I didn't like when the bars would change course randomly. I would prefer a standard "rhythm" that gradually gets harder, rather than a random change in direction. I think this would fit the chill music as well.
But damn, bravo. completely new take on a classic and I will be checking in regularly to make sure no one overtakes my high score for long.
Loved the twist you mad eon pong! Its that type of thing that feels like it shoulve existed before! I played for a while! Well done!
