This will be a roller coaster of a review. I swear to god I played this 40 times and I didn't complete a single mini game. 39 of the times I was trying to hit the bus driver with the plane. Couldn't time the look back. This may seem like a bad review but I can tell you it's my favorite game of the jam so far. I can't explain why I liked it so much, or why I played it so many times. Maybe because I love ska and fart noises? Maybe it's because I hate my dad and it brings back memories of the back of the bus. Whatever it is, BRAVO. All 5 stars from me.
Yooooooo! I love this. First, this music is a jam and I was vibing. Second, it was breaking my brain since we are so used the standard way, and it felt nice to "re-train" a muscle, if you will.
My only critiques would be:
- You can just start the game by doing nothing for a while and the ball can just bounce back and forth for a while. You could possibly start the ball at an angle to fix this?
-I didn't like when the bars would change course randomly. I would prefer a standard "rhythm" that gradually gets harder, rather than a random change in direction. I think this would fit the chill music as well.
But damn, bravo. completely new take on a classic and I will be checking in regularly to make sure no one overtakes my high score for long.
I thought this game was a lot of fun! I love the movement mechanism and the general "select 3 things, find the 3 things, get outta there" gameplay was intuitive and interesting. The only thing is that I wish the power ups and mail types had descriptions so I know what everything does and can develop a strategy. Other than that, I couldn't help myself and had to play multiple times. Well done!
I don't enjoy clowns, but this was fun! I had a hard time knowing how many hits enemies needed , so some sort of mini health bar or another indicator would help. Also the 1st boss (the guy that rises up into the air) didn't always trigger from that checkpoint. I loved the hammer animation and the dash mechanic is such a cool idea. I see a lot of my self in that pill popping freak. Well done everyone involved.
