Can't fathom how you got all this done in the time frame by yourself, but good job. I think the late game needs some balancing, but otherwise, a 10/10 game. I hope this gets you the win.
The art, the gameplay loop, the simple mechanic. Everything goes well together with the amount of polish and the sprinkle of juice. Well done!
I WILL VERY UPSET IF THIS GAME DOESN'T WIN THE JAM, I'VE SPEND 2 HOURS PLAYING, I LOVED IT
That king was easy to beat with my mushroom run! This is trully a greatest balatro inspired roguelite I trully got a nice experience of this, If this was a full release I would buy it!
This game is easy to leave a comment on because you don't have to think about what was done well and what wasn't; everything was top notch! Super well done and so polished I can't believe it was done in only 9 days individually! Fantastic work!
Balatro meets Tetris with tons of ingredient synergies and so much polish. And you made this solo? Truly, there’s nothing more I could ask for
Best game so far for me.
the best game I played on this jam so far. 10/10, absolute cinema.
the pixel art is ridiculously good. Every single thing looks so fantastic, the level of polish and cohesion across the entire game is just insane. Added do this is the crazy amount of items/ingredients/characters, and I am left speechless on how this is a single person's entry in a jam game
I mean, look at this thing. What the hell is this? Its so good

The SFX goes hand in hand with the amazing visuals. Everything has a nice feedback, nothing is left out. The dwarves drinking speeding up as the points are being tallied... just all these little details come together so beautifully
The game mechanics are not new, but executed so well in this game. Honestly, even if you had bad pixel art/sfx, I would have still thought the game was great just because of how balanced it is. There are lots of items, things you can buy in the shop, decisions to make about rolling/what to put in... just this part alone is masterfully done.
our game kinda went in a similar direction (use different ingredients to fit a shape) but your game set a bar so high, that its very motivating. Makes me realize the difference between an actual polished game and a noob doing something in a jam :D
this is incredible, amazing work.
um excuse me that was awesome
Really fun and addicting, easy to pick up and understand. Had a few issues with clicking on objects at times, but opening and closing the bag resolved them. The art style is really well done and suits the game.
Hell yeah, this is such a good entry! Very original take on the theme, looks and sounds great with some genuinely compelling gameplay.
sick job, well done
Well made and really fun! Simple and elegant but compelling design.
I thought my entry had a good chance at winning, this game made me realize that there's always next time... Wow this was awesome! Everything about the game is great. I can tell that you've been in 12 GWJs in the past because this thing is so polished. Hats off to you
Hard to believe that it was made solo in 9 days... So experienced dev. I agree with some previous commentators that - this game should be in Steam. Nice job!
You nailed this. Gameplay is super engaging; vibes are top-notch; theme and originality are incredible. How did you manage to do all this during a game jam?! Great job. I played for almost an hour...
Thank you for playing! One of the benefits of working as a software developer is that I can write a LOT of shitty code very fast when put under a time constraint. That works well for jams, not quite as well for regular game development lol
Yeah I'm very happy to lose to this, amazing job :) Art is so good and the lil sfx I love
Like other have said: polished, well thought-out, crazy fun, easy to pick-up and hard to put down. Fantastic job and for sure has to be one of the best entries for the jam.
Wow - what a fantastic entry - a really solid theme and so well executed!
This game is so cool, it should be in steam, such a nice game with a lot of items, potions and combinations! Balatro + Backpack Battle XD
I love it. My favorite game in the jam so far, I really wish you to win. High level of polish, the art is beautiful, sound is amazing, feels like a release game already to be honest. Great variety, good balance. If this was a paid game - I would buy it.
10/10 highly recommend
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is definitely a project I'm interested in continuing- although I think there are a range of improvements that need to be made in order for it to be what I would call "complete". There are bugs I know about- and the code base is kind of preventing me from adding functionality that I want. There are already at least 4 or 5 items in the game files that I just gave up trying to implement in time for the jam. I can even see in the screenshot that you posted that the boss icon is on the wrong layer and is showing above the background effect!
Jokes aside I greatly appreciate you taking the time to play the game to completion. Thanks again!
