This played really well. The attack indicators were clear, the enemies had a good variety, and the whole thing felt smooth to play. I also liked that the sound design stayed pretty gentle even with all the shooting and enemy deaths going on, which helped it keep that spring vibe instead of turning harsh.
The art is very bright and cheery too, so this might be the most cheerful bullet hell I've played lol. I especially liked the puddle system. Having to stop and reload in the middle of frantic fights added a nice layer of strategy, since you had to choose between standing still to refill and risk getting hit.
And I definitely relate on the two-week jam scope, this was the biggest jam I've made too, so I can appreciate how much work and care something like this takes.
thanks for playing my game and I really appreciate you enjoyed it this much. I'm very proud of the puddle mechanic myself, it just came to me in a fly and I thought it'd be a great idea.
but don't give me credit on the sound design I made it with duct tape and hopes and dreams. just recorded garbage sounds on my phone's microphone the night before the deadline and spent 2 hours debugging the sound code and deciding to just keep it in because I ran out of time.
I enjoyed the bullet hell! The lack of iframes was brutal sometimes. But, the tells were really well done.
thanks. on hindsight I should've added some iframes, just didn't came to my mind. and what do you mean by tells?
I'm a fan of bullet hell games, so I'm glad to see one here in this jam. Especially considering you made all of it yourself, I think it's really nice. In terms of polish I'd love to see a little bit more "punch" to the fights (SFX/VFX). But of course there's limits what can be done in a jam :) So, well done, it's composited well, it runs smooth, it's enjoyable!
thanks for playing my game. like I said before I wished I had more time adding more effects and polish
Love the art style and how bouncy the plants are. Wish there are more hit effect from the water, like splash effect when it hit.
thanks for playing my game. I originally planned to polish the game way more like more effects and some shadows but I was unexpectedly busy during the jam and I had to cram so many bug fixes. I didn't even add the boss fight I wanted : (
