does anyone has suggestions for good free 2d and 3d game engines that dont need my email to use.

I have an idea for a new game but can't decide on an engine

The engine will depend a lot on the game you want to make. Having said that, I can highly recommend Godot, it's free, no account or email, and you could make pretty much any game in it. There are also plenty of tutorials online now to learn the engine!

Godot, the 3D is not as robust as say unity and unreal, but still adequate for indie devs.

If you are new, I recommend you Godot engine. Its easy for beginner. If you are more professional i recommend using Unreal engine.

Hope this useful for you .^v^.

Can't agree with that more.  You will be able to create your own games from the ground up using this method, even if there is more of a time and mental commitment that is required.

You can make any feature in your game but you also need to build every aspect of the game.

That’s not true. Most engines, big ones like Unity and Unreal included, use plenty of middleware.

I don’t have to build a physics engine, graphics engine or sound engine for it to count as my own project. As a software engineer, you simply have to pick the right tools for the job.

In contrast, by being made for every use case, Unity and Unreal are never the right tools for any job.

For visual novels, Renpy is pretty good too even for beginners
