Pretty cool dungeon type game! I like that the room changes dynamically and love the way I have to manage my money as well. The artstyle is soooo gooodd!!! Kinda reminds me of Baba is You. Great work!

Thank you! So glad you liked it!

Interesting idea for a dungeon game having to manage gold coins to progress. Love it!

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

Phew, at some point I thought I'm stuck, but then remembered I could sell gems! Interesting idea, good game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, glad you liked it! Im glad the gem selling actually game in handy, it was something i added early on that i thought would be needed but as i god closer to the end of the jam i was realizing it wasn't necessarily as needed as i thought, but im glad someone was able to make use of it!

Thought I was lost forever but finished it eventually.  Had to maneuver very carefully through the spikes. I like the artwork. Good job on making the game.

Developer

Thank you! It is kinda up to random luck when you come across the final room, sometimes it can be the first one you come across, sometimes if can take a while. The idea behind some of the spikes is that unless you line yourself up perfactly then you have to "spend" some health to get to some of the really cheap gems, but it is possible to get through without getting hurt

finished it quicker than expected. simple but really satisfying run, loved figuring it out as i went. great work

Developer

So glad that you liked it! how long its takes to complete it really comes down to random luck, the room you are sent to it completely random, i wanted to add more rooms that i have in there now but i ran out of time, that way there would have been more rooms for you to be sent to and less chance of completing the game super quickly, but ultimately it does come down to a bit of luck (a family member playing it before i submitted it took quite a while before the final room showed up)

This was super fun! The randomized costs of everything lead to some really fun moments! The exploration caught me off guard, it was really engaging! Smart to let players sell gems to avoid softlock. Great work!

Developer

Glad you had fun! Im glad to find out it was really engaging, a lot of it really just comes down to random luck, lol, the prices, what you get from the pots, and the rooms you are sent to are randomized (was trying to go for a roguelike style), i added the gem selling early on since i figured it might be needed but it ended up being less needed than i thought but i still like having it

Cool idea! I like the premise. Made it to the end, eventually with a spike injury or two. Can you squeeze by some of the spikes without pain or are they just making sure I have to buy HP? Like the idea of looping back into rooms to solve puzzles. Good job

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! You can make it past the spikes if you line yourself up just right, but the idea behind it was that you would have to run over some of the spikes and "spend" health to get access to cheaper gems. I wanted to have more rooms so there would be less looping back to rooms but i ran out of time, lol, its all random chance wether or not you end up in the same room or not

Nice game! Polished and fun. I like the art style, simple but the colors and design fit well together.

Developer

Thank You! Glad you liked it! I will say that i didnt make any of the artwork/sounds/or fonts, they are packs and are credited in the game page, which is why they would fit together so well, since someone who knows what they are doing made them, and made them available for others to use,  It would not have looked very good if i also had to make the artwork

Lovely little game. It took me a while to realize I could buy gems cheap and sell them for more, but after a few tries I figured it out. It was a nice simple game and left room for me to discover how to play and where to go. I felt like I was exploring a dungeon and figuring out how it worked.

Nice job. Solid entry. Good luck.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Im glad you also managed to find a gambling mechanic that i added lol. when you sell gems you get a random amount of coins between 1 and 10 so you can loose coins depending on how much you spent on the gem. So glad you were feeling like you were exploring a dungeon, that is the feel i was going for, i didnt get much decorating in the rooms like i wanted to, so im happy i was able to make it feel like a dungeon

Cool game!  i couldn't figure out how to pick up diamonds at first but then i pressed every key on my keyboard and it worked!

Developer

Glad you like it! I initially had the gems being automatically picked up but decided to make it need to be interacted with just like the doors so that you arent buying gems and spending coins with out realising it, i wasnt able to make a tutorial in game so i put the controls in the game page instea

Nice little game! I like the minimalistic style and the idea behind the dungeon. I would recommend you to decrease the hitbox of the player or the hitbox of the spikes. At some passages it felt a bit unfair - but then again, since there are no enemys yet maybe this was on purpose to have a reason to purchase health? All in all, well done :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I did originally want enemies but i was not able to add them in time so i settled for the spikes. They are basically there to give a reason for the health. Some areas they are there so that you basically have to run over them (unless you can line yourself up pixel perfect) and "spend" some health to get access to cheap gems, so it was intentional, but i agree it could have been done better

Love the feel of what you made.
