That was a lot of fun! I liked using all the different brew combinations, that was really cool. Good job!!!

That was a really fun little experience.  I did forget I had to press 'brew' and took damage quite a few times, but still managed to win :D

It was a bit hard to build up goo early on, and I wish the indicators were a little clearer, but once I understood how it was presented, it wasn't too bad. Overall fun little title!

It's a very fun game :) and the controls are intuitive, it's easy to pick up and very fun to play, thank you for making it!

Really creative and polished entry for this jam. I like how different combination provide different interaction on how the effects are applied. Given that, water as the primary goo is so OP haha I managed to beat hard difficulty on my 2nd run. Great game!

Damn, this orb collecting games sure is fun, though it seems kind of pointless. Wait, what's that slime? Um... are they chasing me? WHY IS THERE SO MANY OF THEM?!?!

Really nice entry, I enjoyed it. You really put a lot of effort into creating synergies between the attacks, it was fun goofing around trying out each possible combination.

Keep up the good work!

Very enjoyable! I think water attack looks most satisfying out of all :D

The game was pretty good, the art was really unique in such a short amount of time, good game!

Really fun game! One thing I noticed is that the fire spell sometimes didn't seem to shoot projectiles out? I also thought using water as the primary ingredient was a bit overpowered, with the massive AOE and pierce it gives. My biggest complaint I think is that sometimes collecting goo didn't register or work? The maximum goo you could hold onto also felt limiting, but understandable for balancing reasons, however if I see a water goo I want to actually collect that water goo, it's frustrating when I collect the wrong thing or collect nothing. Really fun, polished game though, I had alot of fun with it and even beat it on hard difficulty!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the detailed comment!
But yeah, I was worried someone would get the fireball bug, but it was after the submission that I noticed it. I have a few guesses as to what it might be, and I'll try to fix it post-jam. It works sometimes, and then, at others, it's just a dud.

I haven't seen the wrong element collected, though. They might be stacking and look like many other elements. If you do have a full goo container, it will toss overflow. But thanks for bringing it up! I'll try to see if I can reproduce that issue.

And yes, water is busted lol. It is funny because I think it has one of the lowest damage numbers, but it scales so well with combo counter and any other element since it's so wide. And it has special effects with most elements.
Amazing, you beat hard, good job! Thanks so much for playing!

Really enjoyed this entry!  Very pleasing graphics, audio, and feedback.  I liked seeing all the numbers pop up when I hit enemies.  I was a little fuzzy on the details of how my goos were combining but I got the gist and had fun!

Even witch's witch cauldron has enemies! At some point I really started to worry, barely held until time ran out! Great art, good game, well done!

Great looking, very fun to play, that's a massive release for a jam, congrats !

Oh how cool! The fact you made so many spell combinations is really cool! I wasn't able to make it very far, but I've played so many times because it's just fun seeing all the different effects. I wish there were sound effects on the spells, but otherwise I'm a big fan! Building up your goo and unleashing it feels great!

Developer (1 edit)

weird there should be some sounds for casting, launching projectiles, each elements debuff, and impacts but its very very possible they arent balanced well against the music lol. Thanks for playing!

Huh ok that must’ve been my fault. I’ll give it another go tonight.  Fun game :)

Developer

Oh no! I didn't mean to blame you. I think I just made the SFX too low. But thank you!

This is amazingly impressive! Could definitely see this being a full release game! Fun concept, great execution!

Great Job! Love the idea and the creativity side of it as well, having to find the best/favorite combinations of ingredients!

This was super cool and the visuals/sound were on point for such a short jam.  I lieked the turn based aspect, and the UI was super clear. I was a bit confused at exactly what to do with the brewing at first, but I like idea and can see this being developed further for sure.  One of the better outside the box theme implementations.

Loved the difficulty settings and strategy aspect of it! Great idea and great implementation.

Man what a well put together game. Loved the turn-base style of it. Combos were very satisfying. Well done.

Great little game! The combat and combinations are interesting. The second time I played though I was able to win by simply running in one direction, even in the hardest difficulty. I ended up going outside the world boundary lol.
I'd try spawning the enemies closer to the direction the player went to in the last turn, that way at least they'll have to change direction if they want to simply run away.

Overall it's pretty good!
