Wow, this is a great little game! The bite animation is awesome... actually everything is pretty awesome! Well done!
Cute game, I found it odd that bite and coin shoot always goes in the same direction regardless for the direction you're heading, maybe something with going right or left at the start. Good sound and music.
Really fun! Very hard to keep my poor little kids alive!
Fun game! Great art style! Its really difficult though saving children and saving yourself and hunting
Fun game! But very hard indeed. Also, as someone playing on laptop with touchpad, I'd appreciate having right mouse attack to be available on some key too :D
This was super hard, but a very, very cute idea. Great job on your first jam! I am sad I could not protect my children :(
I really love the idea! It can be really tough, but I had fun, good job!
Really liked the game, especially when I understood how to move properly using the attacks, was fun dashing around and eliminating the enemies. Unfortunately was only able to save one of my children, was finding it difficult to throw money at a specific chest but id put that on skill issue. Really cool art style as everything fit well. Overall satisfying game, Good Job!
I really liked your game. Tried it several times, but only could save two of them. The art was nice (liked the colour palette), and the music and gamefeel were also pretty good! It fit the theme very well, too.
Only thing that I would recommend is let the children follow the mother. I wasn't able to explore the world at all - I saw some coins at the right on top of a cliff, but it wasn't possible to go there because the enemys were already killing all my children. All in all, a great entry!
I like the idea, the intense moment where you have to go back and feed the little ones. although i found myself camping the spawn and waiting for the enemy to come to me instead. Smooth controls when i got the hang of it. satisfying coin explosion on kill.
suggestions:
- make the little one able to follow the mother on command. this will give the player the freedom to explore, and give you the dev the opportunity to add a lot more to the world.
- add a mechanic where you are able to hide against other objects to break enemies aggro.
other than that i liked the game.
This was awesome, and is my favorite use of the theme so far. Mimics are my favorite creatures to use as a DM, and raising little mimics sccratched an itch I didn't realize I had.
Excellent UI and juice on the interactions. The spitting out of coins was great, and I didn't get upset at any of the platforming mechanics.
Loved it, great game!
I tried a few more times but unfortunately it's quite hard hahah.
I do have one suggestion though, and it's to add some kind of marker or color to each of the little ones. Sometimes one of them is low on health but the others are fine, and as far as I know there's no way to know which one is the one low on health, forcing me to heal all of them and losing too much health in the process.
Almost a 10 for me :D just lacks a little bit of replayability idk maybe the ability of buying new children lmao
Otherwise all the other things were perfect, the 2 attacks are cool and satisfying, the artstyle is amazing, sfx + music also banger, and the fact that you are a chest in a dungeon attacked by some players is cool bcz it is the opposite of retro games aah i love the mood. Good job !
cool game! you should add a mechanic that if you don't move knights will think your a normal chest and not attack you so you can sneak up behind them.
do you want to try my game?
Very nice artstyle, enjoying playing this a lot! And fun concept as well!
