I like the overall aesthetic of the game! I think the 3D models are cute and the music is quite fitting for what you are doing. I think with a little bit of polish in terms of the text and maybe a goal that the player can aspire for, this game can be even better. But in general, this was still a solid experience!

I think this was a great game!! The only thing is that it was a bit cut off on the sides, so I couldn't see or use all the buttons. I love the lil walking guy btw!!!
Good concept! But I couldn't see a lot of the screen and couldn't really tell how much the stuff I was buying was selling for.
Had UI issues and had to hack it a bit in dev-tools to see the 'ask expert' button.
It had a few minor bugs like text repeating of the previous customer briefly before showing correct new customer info.
Core of the game is done, just lacking a bit of polish. I think Reject is obsolete currently, as you can just low-ball offers instead and perhaps you get a bargain. Obviously needs a bit more variety in customers + items (and music loop is way too short) and an additional layer (story or inventory management for example) but a very solid start of a game, well done :)
Thanks for the feed back! I have had multiple issues with the ui, i guess if your screen website is scaled it makes it so you can't see ui or can see hidden ui that i want to add to later updates but didn't have the time. the music was more of a last minute panic, I had finished the main game and was making 3d models to add because I made this cool system that automatically adds the model to the list (what I spent most of my time on) and I was about to release it when I realized the music was missing. I took a song I made and added it to the game description (through comments(the first comment)). Overall there were things I would have liked to do better but I was proud of what I did in the time span. I had a lot of plans over the weekends so I had to squeeze in any work I could and ended up with about 9-10.5 hours of programming, art, and concept development.
Cute game. As others mentioned the resolution has some issues. I noticed that zooming in lets you see more of the UI, which tells me it was probably made on a laptop with a smaller resolution. Zooming in a lot shows 2 buttons which appear to be unused. An inventory button on the top right and an "upgrade luck" button to the right.
I would also suggest that with text inputs you look into adding RegEx (Regular Expressions) to prevent invalid characters from being input by the player. This is a lot cleaner than just telling the player not to use them. It was particularly an issue with "new line" characters. I, at some point, accidentally pressed enter, which caused a new line element to appear. At first I thought my initial input was deleted, and so I just reinput the offer, but no matter what I was putting as the offer was being rejected, whether it be the same or even substantially higher than the asking price. Came to find out later that it was because of the New Line character.
I like your theme interpretation! I experienced some light bugs and for some reason couldn't full screen but I like the walking animation a lot!
I felt like I was working for Pawn Stars! :)
A bit buggy but I had fun playing it. I probably played longer than I should have... which tells me there is something about the mechanic that keeps you playing.
I love the creativity of this game! The gameplay sometimes has a couple bugs (maybe intentional?) like when I try to buy something from the customer at the customer's price it won't let me. It would also be great to see more items, but overall, a really fun game!
Oh, running a pawn shop is a fun idea! Would love to see it expanded upon with recurring characters like in Paper's Please. It doesn't feel like there is much risk atm when rejecting because there is a seemingly endless supply of goofy guys (or is it just one?). Still, I was attached to the ones that gave me ridiculous prices, and by injecting that character into them I think that would be awesome. Like imagine a little kid comes up and wants $3 for a priceless artifact. What do you do?
Anyway, the gameplay loop is really solid, so with some balance and polish I could see this being special!
Neat little game. Has potential, just might need a little polish. Text was going off the screen and when i go to buy something the button to submit and offer was just berely on the side of the screen so i could hit it, but i almost couldnt.
A cute little game. I can see myself playing this a lot if the game is a little bit more polished.
The gameplay is pretty straightforward and chill, though there's really no end goal to the game apart from getting a highscore. Rejecting or selling too low also have little to no downsides. Furthermore, buying too high is risky since you can lose all of your money real quick. I think it would be interesting to have a certain amount of customers per day and a certain quota to meet, so it would involve more strategy in handling the prices.
Another feedback that I can give is to make the text have an outline, especially for the customer's dialogue. Sometimes the customer brought an item that is dark in colour, and that made it quite difficult to see what that person is saying. Having a white outline to the text should help with that issue, or at least having a slightly transparent background under the text.
Last thing, I think you should write down how much the expert and the multiplier cost. It's a minor thing but it would be pretty helpful.
Overall, cute and simple game.
This was fun and reminded me a lot of haggling in old school RPGs. As others mentioned, the text going off the screen was hard to deal with, but other than that I had a lot of fun and was laughing at the audacity of some of these peoples prices, haha. This can definitely be expanded on, and has some good bones. Well done for the jam theme and time frame!
I laughed a lot at this. For some reason the game was a bit clipped on my screen so could not see all the text, wonder if the issue was only for me.
I love the walk animation these guys have and the different items :)
I think the idea of running a pawn shop is a very good use of the theme! I think the design and animations of the customers are kinda cute and I like the variety of items they bring you! that's quite impressive given the time limit! I also think it was a nice touch for the buttons to resemble money. Music is very sweet and has chill vibe to it too!
I think it would be nice if there were like deadlines for amounts of money you had to earn to give the game some win / lose conditions. Also this isn't really a critique, but just some general advice, if you want the player to only be able to type numbers and not letters, you can use a spinbox node instead of line edit node.
Good Effort! : )
