Thank you for trying it out! :D

Very funny concept! Managed to survive for 13 minutes. The visual of frantically trying to earn credits on the computer while the sub is filling with water around you is hilarious. Also 10/10 voice acting.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying it out! Also thanks for the compliments on my voice acting lol

3 5-stars! I'm surprised by how polished it is! "I'm not paid enough for this..."

Developer

Thank you! I'm honored to receive your high rating! and indeed, "I am not paid enough for this" xD.

Best dialogue ever

I liked the computer. Very cool. Also, walking around to buy things was also an interesting mechanic. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! Appreciate it for trying it out!

Voice acting is wild lol.. this was fun despite the camera bugs, good job.

Developer

By all means I am not a voice actor HAHA. I do reccomend trying the Windows build since the camera bug only happens on the web build! Thank you for giving it a go!

Nice game. Loved the atmosphere. Great submission.

Good luck with the jam.

Thanks for trying it out!

The sound and all really created a cool atmosphere. The controls were a bit clunky, even on the desktop. I couldn't spin all the way around. But still well done, I enjoyed it.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for trying it out! Ah was it? It worked fine on my end and I can spin all the way around. When you started the game did you click your mouse on the screen immediately?

Its pretty annoying when these bugs happen on computers that I don't own HAHA. But I guess that's the cost I have to pay for doing a game jam xD. Still glad you enjoyed it though sorry for the unfortunate clunky experience!

It might have been my setup, since I use Windows Sandbox for downloads

Developer(+1)

Ahhh that might have been why! Good to know though so I can potentially fix it for the future! Thank you!

Very cool! I loved the scenario. Great job indicating problems with minimal HUD as well. The gasping for air instead of an oxygen meter was a nice touch.

Developer

Thank you for giving it a go! The oxygen gasping is kinda inspired by the way Subnautica does its oxygen decrease by slowly fading out the screen. Great to hear that you liked the implementation!

I appreciate the unique gameplay concept with oxygen loss and water leaks in the 'iron lung' inspired game. It would be helpful to have clearer indicators for unlocked and blocked minigames. The diegetic UI elements, like the walkie-talkie introduction, add a nice touch. It could be improved by making the timer and credits design more cohesive. Overall, great work!  Iloveed it!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Really appreciate it for trying it out! Very similar feedback to one of the other ones before. The Credits and timer is being diegetic is definitely something that I would improve int he future! The minigames are never blocked and are all unlocked from the start, my theory is the same as the other comment, you might've clicked it once instead of twice so it seemed like its blocked which is my bad, I should've made it clearer rather than just putting it in the readme since some people might miss it. Thanks for the feedback!

I exploited the number guessing app. The answer was 4 the whole time and I ended up with over 50000 credits. Stayed on for about 10 minutes to see if anything would happen. Good job on making it. Was a fun game to play!

Developer

Dang, that's a crazy amount of luck! Thanks for trying it out!

Could smell the iron lung inspiration from a mile away haha! I like the game play it's a very creative take on the theme, with taking too long costing the loss of oxygen and water leaking in, I think it's a clever idea to unlock new minigames are the game progress to keep it fresh and create more tension as the difficulty of them increases.

However I didn't know when I unlocked a new one or when the previous one became blocked, so it made the game feel unresponsive when i was clicking the previous minigame and nothing happened so i think would be useful to have some indications of what you can't and can access on the computer any given time.

speaking of the computer, I really like the diegetic ui of the read me file as well as the guy on the walkie-talkie acting as a kind of introduction, it reminds me of the iron lung movie and his tone feels similar to 5NAF phone guy lol.

Although since the game has a lot of diegetic ui elements, I think it would be neat if the timer and credits value had a similar going for them to make the ui feel more cohesive, but understandable given the time limit there's still an impressive amount of work put into this!

Great Work! : )

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying it out! Appreciate the detailed feedback as well! The games on the computer are all unlocked for the start, I suspect you must have clicked it once instead of twice to open it so it felt like it was not unlocked which I should've made it clearer since it is mentioned in the readme file but people might've missed that.

Definitely something to improve for the credits and timer being diegetic and you guessed right, I did ran out of time xD. Also thanks for the compliments on the guy on the walkie talkie. That's actually just my voice that I edited lol.

This was fun to play! I like the style a lot, reminds me of the game Iron Lung.
Good job!

Developer

Thank you for giving it a go! This is definitely inspired by Iron Lung! Glad that it reminded you of it!

Developer

Thank you!! :D

Ouch, my claustrophobia! Also, for some reason I was always out of oxygen, no matter how many times I tried to repair the tank. Oh, my dreams of becoming a submarine captain are shattered! Hehe, but seriously though, nice game, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying it out! There are a couple of things that could cause you to run out of oxygen (being underwater for too long or power generator out of power). These definitely are things that could have been improved if I had more time in playtesting but definitely something I will fix post game jam!

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed this! It was super stressful, and the incremental cost increases to the fixes was anxiety building the further I went in. I will say, first attempt I heard gargling and had no idea what was happening until I got off the PC and realised I was drowning, oops! But yeah, good job!

Developer

Thank you for giving it a go! There is currently a bug where the underwater post processing doesn't apply to the camera when it is on the computer which I didn't notice until jam submission unfortunately. Definitely something I will fix post jam!
