Never thought being a snowball could be so exciting, this is really fun! The physics are amazing, jumping feels super satisfying. I would've loved some audio here though!!
Overall really good job!!
Yeah, I overscoped my audio idea, and now that's biting me in the butt for sure. Good lesson for a short jam. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Very fun lil game here. I really enjoyed the jump mechanic. Idk if there is audio but I couldn't hear anything sadly. Overall good job!
I really enjoyed playing your game. Keep making great stuff!
Easy to get into but harder to master. It’s pretty good but lacks audio as others have mentioned. Reminded me of “Crazy Mammoths” which was REALLY fun to play with friends.
Fantastic situation. 2D platformer is the most common genre. And I haven't seen anything like this game at more than 10 jams! And the gameplay is interesting.
The game also has good visuals.
Well, you already know the drawbacks. And the error message and the lack of sound, and the end trigger I didn't catch even once out of 5 attempts.
I love the theme of the game, and the interpretation. Trying to balance speed with not becoming too big was fun. Deciding which snow balls you should hit or jump over. Can you launch off the ramp at the end? I tried but couldn't end with enough speed.
Yeah, haha. Most people had the opposite problem as you and couldn't stop in the valley. I didn't actually mean it to be a ramp, it was meant to keep going up to form a valley, but I did not verify the paramters were set right in this build.
nice
The scaling mechanism fits the theme perfectly, and the feeling of falling through the air is very exhilarating. Has the music not been added yet? Or is there a problem with my audio equipment...?
I was using sound generation techniques with the OnAudioFilterRead method in Unity, but this does not function in WebGL, and I haven't figure out a way to do it yet, so no sound in this version. Thank you for playing though, and glad the feeling came through well even without the sound.
I like a concept, and idea looks very fresh, especially how you lose both by losing and gaining too much snow! And yet it looks very calming due to pastel colouring! Well done!
This is such a cool concept!! I really like that the controls are simple, but there's some unique strategy to it with not always needing to jump to collect more snow and how the jumping reduces the size.
The art style looks very chilled out and relaxing, the presentation of having the text show up when getting to a new check point is a nice little touch.
would be nice if it had some chill music to go along with it.
Great Job!
Thanks so much for the play and feedback.
Funny story, I initially meant this to be a test bed for some ambient music generation ideas I had, and never got around to implementing that in the 72 hours. I definitely plan to keep working on it, and adding some reactive music in.
it's all downhill from here. simple satisfying concept, very much enjoyed it. def could use some sound to fill the silence tho. well done overall
Good concept, reminds me of the good old era of flash games.
Very fun, I didn't hit the trigger somehow at the end ledge but I won, I promise :D
Creative use of the theme and its fun to work out by trial / error how small or big you can go before losing.
As others have said, I love how smooth everything is! The controls couldn't be simpler, which is lovely.
Good job!
Enjoyed it! Felt very smooth, nice job! I wish the text was a bit bigger and could be made out a bit better from the backgrounds, I missed them completely :(
Thanks for playing, and that is a super helpful feedback! I am not the art person usually, so I think a good look at the colors and framing will help a lot. I probably should have spent more time making the lines legible consider how much time I spent thinking them up xD.
Fun and short game! Really like the balancing size mechanic, really creative.
Cool concept! i loved the jump mechanic i think it feels very smooth! also, does that fall last forever? i waited for a long while but it seemed as if i was still going down. overall an amazing game!
would you like to try my game?
Thanks for playing! And yes it does go on forever. The Ending trigger is very hard to hit, so you end up flying past and that was a bug. Sorry about that, and thanks for the feedback! I already have that fixed and ready for when the voting ends. Thanks again, I'll check yours out too for sure!
Awesome stuff, Great art, very fun, all in 72 hours
I like how movement feels in this game! And successful jumps feel very satisfying :) Well done!
Note: there are some MIDI error messages (both in Firefox and Safari) and I didn't hear any sound.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
I noticed that error too, and it is a remnant form when I wanted to make this a rhythm game.
I really liked it, I believe there's a lot of potential there. If you have time to polish it a bit more by adding some music, sound and effects it'd be awesome. Very creative!
