Great job! you guys made me realize that i suck at cleaning fossils, hahaha the game is really fun and a cool concept , i think i dindt see something like this in 2d mmm... The only thing i think MAYBE could be improved is the noise in the pixel art, i saw a lot of noise and jaggies but maybe is in purpouse so... great job! also i enjoyed the music a lot!
Again the not necessary bad things are a few and this little game is big! i see the work in the UI, the music and the pixels, amazing entry guys!
Goty
I loved the controls in your game You have to try really hard to carve out the fossils The art style and SFX are nice too
Honestly a very well done game in every aspect! Moving the knife horizontally without moving it vertically at the same time for some of the cuts is tricky, yet keeps the game challenging, and it's nice that you can just switch to a new fossil for a small fee without having to make a certain amount of progress in the current one, as it gives players the ability to choose whether they wish to do/continue the current one or move on to the next fossil. Also impressed by how many different fossils there are!
This is the most unique entry in the jam! i love carving the spiral and other fossils with curved shapes! also nice seeing the ancient being fossil (godot)!
Such a cool toy to play with! The controls messed with my brain for the first thirty seconds, then I had an absolute blast. It reminds me of spinning clay pottery. The sound design really adds to the experience.
Wow, love this one! Art, music, UX, and the creative idea. Brilliant.
One small nitpick: At the end of a carving (when you press Space), $30 will be deducted from the score. This sort of messes with my expectation of progression. Maybe just remove this? Or did I miss something?
Other than that, it's just perfect. Really enjoyed playing this =)
Just realized i played your game yeasterday and forgot to leave a comment. This game is FIRE when i played it for the first time i had in mind that this has so much potencial for fully working game on steam i would definitly buy it and recommend to my friends. The Pixel art whoever made them is crazy good also the creativity is genius. Only problem i had was the movement of this knife maybe its just my skill issue. Definitly had a great time playing it!!
im so impressed by this game! the controls were awkard at first but evenutually it felt so intuituve. thank you for making this game
OMG i love this! excellently done, good job!
One little critic is that I didn't notice that there was a timer until i was almost done with the first fossil, and i was taking my time. I would make it a tiny bit more obvious with either having it at the top center, or when the game starts have it grow from the center of the screen before lerping it to it's actual position. That way it's in the player's mind from the start
