Love the pixel art. The UI and font choice reminds me of the old Rugrat games for the PS1, which is a plus in my book. It was pretty hectic and a bit overwhelming and at one point there were so many people on the screen that it lagged a little. But the concept was unique and the game loop/progression seems pretty solid. Well done!

Software used
Godot for the game, pixilart for the sprites, jsfxr for some of the sound effects and pixabay along ith audiomass for the rest of the sound effects.
Use of the limitation
The player needs to use a starting budget of 50 to buy dinosaurs to reach the goal of 1000000. The main gameplay loop also stems from the fact that the dinosaurs in the player's park have very short lifespans because the company made some budget cuts in the genetic research department.
Cookies eaten
A few, along with some ice cream and a few glasses of Lipton.

Interesting concept! This was a pretty fun game to play and it become super fast paced once I got the hang of it. I think it would be nice if u were able to also grind the bones as well for extra money because it just feels like empty space and it gets in the way. Great submission!
Interesting concept! Took me a bit to figure out what to do ngl. I also wish I could of sell the bones and I couldn’t figure out how to get magnifying glass stuff. I thought the canviores going after the people was a funny idea and some reason when playing the visitors just all left and there was this giant pause? Idk if it’s a bug because they all just left and it was silence lol. Congrats on submitting and I wish you luck
Thanks!
The 'magnifying glass stuff' are research points and you can get them by purchasing research sites (the white squares on the left side of the screen) and dragging the bones of dead dinos to them (the game explains this to you once you buy the first research site).
As for the visitors just disappearing, did you check whether your popularity (the number out of five next to the star icon) was at zero when this happened, as the rate at which you get visitors depends on that number? If that wasn't the case, then the bug where the visitors stop spawning in is still in the game and my fix didn't work.
It's cool, but I feel bad about destroying dinosaurs. Or is the point of making money not in destroying them? :O
The idea is that you use the dinosaurs to bring in visitors/guests and than throw them in the grinder to regain half of the money you spent on them, which is necessary to outweigh the costs of the dinos, but you can stop doing it or at least do it less once you get the upgrade that increases their lifespans, though that will reduce your profit and you will still need to keep the carnivores fed by using herbivores or other carnivores (or visitors).
Buuuuttt... they're canonically made in a lab and die in a matter of seconds no matter what, so you're technically not cutting their lives that short.
This is such a fun game!! I played it for way too long lol once I got the hang of it.
I did notice a few minor issues; sometimes when I picked up a dinosaur and dropped them, it would destroy them without being anywhere near the blender thing. Also, one time I stopped having dinosaurs so I could finish getting through the 100 bones, and for some reason no more guests came no matter how many dinos I had. The archaeology sites also sometimes deleted the bones without giving me any points. But these are all pretty minor, and really having so many guests the game started lagging and letting the t-rexes go wild was more than enough fun to make up for any bugs. Super addictive for sure.
This is really quite cool, very fun and engaging, and it clearly knows what it's trying to be, which is especially impressive with it being made in only 3 days. Great work!!
Thanks for checking the game out!
I just did some bug fixing and managed to solve the issue with the archaelogy/research sites. However, I was incapable of replicating the bug with the grinder (the blender thing) or the bug with the guests/visitors not arriving anymore. I did make some changes that will hopefully stop the problem with the guests from happening again, yet I can't be 100% sure (so for anyone reading this comment, feel free to inform me if you encounter this bug).
The dark humor on the title screen when pressing X already sold it to me. But then, after a few minutes of play, I figured out that you could drop a T-Rex on the visitors. That's when the fun really started =)
I really like this! Small, but addictive, incremental game, and very well executed.
Great concept! Super cute sfx. It took a while to save up from the 100$ dino to the 500$ dino, it could be nice to have a $250 dino to have something you can buy in between. Great work!
