Has a few wrinkles to iron out, but it's a pretty solid foundation for a horror game. I feel the usage of text to speech voices really pulled me out of the experience because of the stilted delivery, I think texts will do the job just fine. The other thing that needed adjusting is the FOV, it's really narrow and can cause nausea when traversing inside small spaces. Still, good job putting this all together in 10 days!

Developer

Thank you for your time. Actually it took me 5days to make the game. But I will take your suggestion and polish the game.

Good game. took a while to find the items. It's hard going down the stairs tho and yeah the walkie talkie loops is annoying.

Developer

Thank you for your time. I will try my best to polish the game and I appriciate your suggestion.

Like Gruftsocke below, I played for a long time trying to find Tim. And others have mentioned the transparency issues with plants/webs etc. The walkie talkie loop gets really annoying, I would just do some seconds of soft static, then interspersed every once in a while with static Tim voice. Also, your sound attenuation goes into the second floor, I would lower the collider so you don't hear it upstairs.

Having said all that, very ambitious! You got a whole story with cut scenes in on a very short schedule, congratulations! Would love to see it if you clean it up a bit!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your time. Yes you are right there are some cleaning to do my UI, Visuals, Lightning, Direction need to be more cleaner. I will work on it. I will extend the game in near future. Hope you will check it and again thnx for your suggestion. It means a lot!

I played your game up to “Save Tim,” after that I wasn’t sure what to do anymore.

A few issues I noticed:

- Stair colliders prevent going down. The character basically slides down the stairs and glitches through the collider.

- Alpha shader issues, clearly visible on the grass. I’ve also experienced this issue with transparency in WebGL builds. It comes from how Unity creates WebGL builds. Web and desktop builds have different build priorities. Unity strips out some shaders in WebGL builds, which is why alpha objects are only partially visible, solid, or not visible at all. However, there are solutions to fix the transparency issue.

The flashlight bothered me a bit because it runs out so quickly. There are also some missing UI elements, such as:

- flashlight status

- objective tracking

- small hint texts or narrator tips when the player hasn’t found anything for a while, to guide them back on track

For the lighting objects themselves, I wouldn’t rely on emission mode alone. Instead, I would use a small sphere set to emission in the shader and place a point light at the light source to simulate the glow.

The graphics are perfectly fine for a jam project. Overall, I think it’s a very interesting title and a great piece of work

Developer

Thank you for playing game and thank you for your siggestions. I will definately fix those visuals issues you mention in near fututre update.
I know there are some ui and audio issues I will fix them.I have plans to extened the game. Hope you will like it.And thanx again for your time

Interesting concept, I was looking very much for what to do. There was this sound eminating from the house somewhere in the right bottom and top corner, but getting there didn't reveal anything. The textures of the flowers around the house, looked like they weren't ready and there were some visual glitches. Also when you get into a van, normally you would go up a little to look more natural. Anyway, I spend about 20 minutes trying to find out what to do. I think it has potential, but maybe it needs better instructions.

I will post the exact timestamp later.

First thank you for your patience and playing the game. And I am sorry the game has some directional issues, ui and lighting issues. I will take your suggestion and try to polish it. When you enters the main door, the static sound is coming from right side of the room of the main door. there is a walkie talkie. If you interact story progress. and there a=is a basement near the kitchen area. if you open the door you will find a stair that will lead you besement there you will find brekar,.
I am sorry you struggle while playing because the direction was not clear . i will improve it and I have plans for extending the game.
Hope I can give you some direction about the game ! I will kindly request you if you have some time please reconsider playing one more time. And again thak you for your time.

It starts as an interactive movie with narrative progression. Interesting.

As the others said, a little better onboarding would help - with a help page or a settings page with the controls. You give the hint "Press F" permanently so in the beginning I thought F was the Interaction key. It was just the flashlight. One of the annoying, flickering ones, only to be found in horror games. Reading the description outside of the game, I entered the house. Good use of cutscenes here.

By the way, you grass/flowers around the house looked like anti-tank obstacles, especially in the dark. I'm quite sure they are not as you intended. I did not find the breaker box either but I was nearly every room, even the attic. Quite effective spooky mood.

The well-lighted green equipment at the van (which has no inner colliders) misleaded me at the beginning to think that the main place of the game were there, and that I should do something with it. Just turn the light down there and a little up at the house, so you can lead the player better where she or he should go. ;-)

Developer

Thank you for playing the game. Yes the Ui direction and visual part has some glitches. I will try to fix them and thak you for detailed suggestion. It really helps me a lot. About the green equipment I had some plans to use CC tv camera there but for time constrains I wasn't able to sorry it was not cleaer from my end. I have plans for extending the game in near future.
And about the breaker it's in basement. The basement door is near the kitch area narrow hallway. Sorry to hear you didn't find it due to bad direction. But I hope you can try the game again for the experience.
And again thak you for your time and suggestions. I will try my best to improve my lackings.

The gameplay loop is interesting, though a bit more polish on interaction feedback and pacing would make it even stronger. Some areas could use clearer direction for the player, but the core idea is memorable and has good horror potential if expanded further.

Developer

Thank you for playing the game. Yed you are right there are some visual, UI, directional polishing to do. And I have a plan to entened the game in near future, and thak you again for your support.

Great vibe! Was scary)
Just fix that irritating repeating sound that you can hear in every corner of the house :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!..I will try my best to polish the game

I think the game has potential for a really atmospheric horror experience 😄

On my laptop it was very hard to see things in the distance though — maybe that was intentional — so I was pretty lost most of the time. Good thing there was a flashlight 😅

I wasn’t really sure where I was supposed to go. I played for a bit, managed to open some doors, and mostly kept hearing a distorted radio/static sound in the background.

But overall, I can definitely see the horror potential here 👍

Developer

I fixed the light issue and sorry because it was not user friendly!. I will try to improve the game. If you have time please check the game again as in it's current state.

Submitted(+1)

I checked it again 😄 This time I found the radio immediately, so that part definitely feels better now.

But the darkness inside the house, even with the lamps turned on, plus the flashlight constantly flickering on and off made it hard for me to focus on the game and environment.

I think the game has potential though, especially if there were more interactive objects and environmental clues like scattered notes, items, or small story details to guide the player.

Also, it could be nice if the hand icon only appeared on actually interactive objects. Right now it feels like you can click almost everything, but most objects don’t really do anything. Although maybe that was part of the intended design 😄

Developer(+1)

I will take your suggestion and try to polish it

Developer

And thnx for your time again :)

An indicator of what to interact with, perhaps an "E" when hovering over objects, would be a great addition. Updating your Itch page with screenshots and a clearer description would also make the game much more appealing. Consider whether the flickering flashlight is truly necessary, as it might not add the benefit or feeling you intended. Finally, the FOV feels quite low, and I unfortunately could not find the breaker.

But the game delivers a nice horror mood, so good job on the hardest part :)

Developer(+1)

First thank you for playing the game. I followed your suggesting updated my itch.io page. and about the ui I know it's not user friendly I will try my best to polish the game. Yes FOV is quite low. I will fix it soon. and the breaker is in basement near kitchen area. I have fied the lighting issue. if you have some free time please check the game as in it's current version.
and again thanx for all your suggestions it really helps a lot! :)

Submitted(+1)

It is cool, I hope you fix some small problems, which is why I give feedback. :)

I thought it needed to be the basement, and there was a door I could not open, probably a bug? Somewhere in the back of the house?

Developer

the basement is near kitchen area..narror hallway..there are two door one of the door is basement door. there are two door you cant open in the house. thats not bug

Submitted(+1)

Not sure if I missed something obvious or not (it happens a lot), but can we go inside the house?

Developer

Yes, you can go inside the house. Press E near door for interaction! Sorry! the ui is not user friendly I will try my best to fix these issues.

Developer(+1)

I have fixed the lighing issue. If it's possible for you please check the game now it's current state.

Developer

Developer(+1)

Hope you will like the surprise 😊

Submitted(+1)

I'm not much into horror games (and this onel ooks like one), but you made an ambience and that's something. Maybe some music would be nice. But very nice in general lines

Developer(+1)

Thank you. I am trying my best to improve the game. I have fixed the lighting issue. If you have some free time check the game as it current state right now. I appreciate your thoughts I will try my best. :)

Cool game! I'm not a big fan of the voice acting though since its a bit unnatural. The game's premise is quite interesting and I do find myself getting spooked by the game! I love the vibes and just the premise overall though I wish there were more stronger ties into the theme. Overall, I still had a fun time! Great job!

Developer(+1)

I am happy you liked my game. And about the voice acting it's ai generated. so, the voice line lacks emotion. I will try my best to make the game as polish as possible. I have fixed the ligh issue in my game . if you have some free time feel free to check it and again thank you for your suggestion I will try to improve! :)
