Great concept and execution. Music is great (even if AI generated)
That music! Loved it!!!
This was entertaining!! It's great that this can be a multiplayer experience! And nice that you can toggle AI bots. The control and gameplay has a lot of versatility in these ways. Even though it was AI generated, that Win theme song... is wild! I felt like I was listening to the outro theme of an American anime XD I feel like the different vibes of the music you use for the main menu, in game play, and outro, clash... but at least there is different music. The gameplay music is fair, it's calm. I can vibe that while trying to pick and chose my piece placements.
Being able to rotate the camera with the mouse helped me to place the pieces much easier because at first I'm like... how do I even click around~ because (I'm assuming) the raycast detection or however you implement the detection, is colliding with parts I don't want to interact with as I try to get the the right detection that let's me drop where I am intending to make my placement.
With some added visual elements like a skybox or even particle systems for the pieces that collide, could be a neat effect! I appreciate the sound effects that seem to vary when pieces interact and or you hover on some of the elements.
I feel like this game is well put together even though it could use some visual improvement and possible audio adjustments. I feel like the greatest strength is the Connection Theme and being able to adjust the number of players and the types of players that can play. I totally put all four players on as AI to see how the simulation would play out, and that was entertaining by itself :P
The last AI player that clearly had a connect 4, took a long time to decide (evaluate all the conditions, whatever they are) if it wanted to win the game. I was looking like.... dude, the piece is right there, will you do it? Lol!!
Fun <3
It is connect 4 with an twist.I like it.
The win condition made me jump out of my skin, enjoyed the game though. Good job!
Interesting concept, this game is great! I had loads of fun playing against the bots! Some things that could be improved on is the UI: It's blurry (Switch stretch viewport to stretch canvas_items) and doesn't really have a theme to it. Also, the mouse tracking was a bit weird for me to interact with the poles.
Wow, 3D tic-tac-toe. Honestly, I think it’s a really challenging game. Coding the win condition might be relatively easy, but writing AI for a game like this must be quite difficult. Thanks for sharing.
The intro and "winning" songs were insanely good! The 3D plain took a bit to get used to. Since we're connecting 4 in any direction, it was a little hard to see at times especially when there was a lot of balls placed. The inclusion of multiplayer is pretty decent. Pretty good stuff for 10 days worth of work!
That connection song is fire, the donut made me hungry. gg thank you
Very cool, much respect for doing everything yourself. Quite liked the MCR-style winning song too, even if it’s AI generated ;)
Only criticism I have is around the controls, which were a little clunky/laggy, but otherwise a well put together piece.
As a child, I loved Connect Four, so playing this was great. It was a bit laggy, but really good job!!
The game was a laggy for me, but i like that you had made an ai option in such short amt of time, it was also a bit easy!
Nice ending.
Well done on the game, It fits the theme of the Jam well and the inclusion of multi-player was a good idea both thematically and for the game play itself. I found the controls generally OK but did find it was occasionally awkward to quickly click on some of the pegs as they would get in each others way without having to rotate all the way around to the side you wanted. The music was theme appropriate but a little intense would have to turn it off for longer play.
Cool game, I see myself playing it more with more time, but the win music doesn't fit in it.
Slick UI!
Good game and interesting take on connect 4. The win music is really out of place and comes out of nowhere though lol.
nice game but it lags in the browser
